Three Towers Game

Chapter 1583 -507: Twin Bulls (Part 3)

“It seems that in terms of combat, there’s truly no way out. What I need is intelligence. I need to know if there’s a human hidden somewhere in the Mechanical City.”

“If you don’t know, you can tell me if you think there’s a hidden map, or hidden areas within the Mechanical City. Places you might have suspected to exist but could never find?”

“Or perhaps, places you were explicitly forbidden to approach?”

After Wen Xishu finished speaking, the Zeroer said:

“The Forbidden Land Tower, I can be sure… that’s the place you’re looking for. Zhou Xiaoxiao is there. I am hundred percent sure…”

“That tower is usually invisible because the methods used, just like Metheus’s illusionary deceit. It’s right next to the Mechanical God’s palace!”

Mammon exclaimed:

“You know?”

Asdoku said:

“I’ve investigated.”

Chronos was also incredulous:

“How dare you investigate such matters? Are you plotting to betray the Lord of Machinery?”

Asdoku was no longer afraid, he said calmly:

“I felt the God has a tendency towards self-destruction; I couldn’t tell you, because only I know that our God actually carries extremely painful memories. She needs to periodically erase some memories.”

“But these memories, like malignant tumors of animals or humans, keep self-replicating and regenerating.”

“And once, when the God felt immense pain, I touched upon that most forbidden memory.”

“I’ve never erased this piece of memory, so that on the day she intends to self-destruct, I could be the only one who understands her. Then take over the Mechanical City.”

The Zeroer has such ambition, which doesn’t surprise Wen Xishu. After all, he has seen the Zeroer ‘perform as an emperor.’

But the Lord of Machinery in the Mechanical City is a powerful entity, not someone the Zeroer could violently overthrow. So, he thought of becoming a successor.

In a certain sense, the Zeroer is correct, Yuan indeed has a tendency towards self-destruction—once realizing that death is irreversible, once her faith collapses, she might self-destruct.

However, the Zeroer still misjudged the direction of events.

Yuan is now in a runaway, uncontrolled state.

Asdoku continued:

“Indeed, there is a human in the Mechanical City, and he is still alive.”

“Beside the God’s domain, there is also a Forbidden Land Tower, and within the tower, a human is imprisoned. Until the God creates the world she envisions, this person will remain imprisoned.”

“The God longs for humans to break free from death, for humans… never again to suffer from past pain.”

“Her intentions are good, but… never mind, I’ll explain how to enter the Forbidden Land.”

“It can only be done at a particular time, and Chronos, the Timekeeper, you can achieve this; you need to activate your power and adjust all the time-related equipment on Lord Wen Xishu’s person to a specific date.”

Chronos said:

“No problem.”

Asdoku said:

“Next is how to enter, you must see through the illusion, which will require Metheus’s abilities. Once the time is adjusted by Chronos, you need to activate your ability to help Lord Wen Xishu dispel the illusion, revealing the true form of the Forbidden Land Tower.”

Mammon looked at the monitor and said:

“Hey, you all, hold off on discussions. This plan might have already failed.”

Everyone looked at Mammon, who then broadcasted an image through the monitor.

It was a giant dark red energy dome, almost covering the scenery of the Upper District.

Not only did it cover the Upper District, but the gigantic steps leading to the Lower City District were also enveloped in dark red.

“The God’s abode has been enveloped by this energy, presumably the Forbidden Land Tower you mentioned is also covered. To rescue this person… you’ll have to enter the energy dome.”

Silence filled the room.

Up to now, the Mechanical Race individuals touched by the dark red energy, from nobility, armed nobility, down to the common citizens, all had their human essence instantly stripped away.

It’s likely the Four Emperors are no exception.

Wen Xishu said:

“Asdoku, give that date and time to Chronos, Chronos, adjust all my time-related equipment to that time.”

“I have the armor granted by Taurus, and the power he’s bestowed upon me, perhaps I can resist for a while.”

“Metheus, you come with me, I’ll protect you.”

Mammon was shocked and said:

“You… you plan to force your way in?”

Wen Xishu said:

“I don’t want to turn into a statue, I’ll give it a try.”

Dreamweaver Metheus also said:

“Then I entrust myself to you, if we keep hiding underground, it’s merely a matter of surviving two or three more hours. It’s pointless.”

Asdoku gave the date, and Wen Xishu felt this might be the time of Li Wei’an’s death.

Chronos didn’t delay either; he had already started helping Wen Xishu adjust the time.

Many devices, if the time is incorrect, will cause the entire system to malfunction.

This is also Chronos’s combat mechanism, modifying the time of various devices inside opponents to cause all sorts of bugs.

But if Chronos is an ally, Wen Xishu naturally doesn’t worry about these things.

With all times calibrated, Wen Xishu faintly felt… a sense of temporal dislocation.

As if he returned to several years ago, back when he was in the Evil Land.

It’s a feeling of confusion, but this sense of confusion can evoke intense emotions regarding a particular moment in the past.
