Three Towers Game

Chapter 1562: Chapter 500: Reclaiming the Xishu (Part 2)

No Zhou Xiaoxiao.

If the integrated memory fragments are the main thread, then the memory fragments Wen Xishu collected in the third stage are the side threads.

Among these side threads, there’s the process by which Yuan established the Mechanical City.

The valuable memory is—Wen Xishu saw Taurus in the Mechanical City.

It seems, not because of Taurus that the Mechanical City exists, but because the Mechanical City was there, it attracted Taurus.

Taurus’s appearance remains unseen; he was cloaked in a mysterious golden cape.

In the memory fragments, Taurus cooperated with Yuan.

He could use his authority to provide manpower for Yuan’s mechanical district, which at the time was not yet at the scale of the Mechanical City, only considered a mechanical community.

At the same time, he could also help Yuan, fulfill Yuan’s wish, complete that grand plan.

It was also from this memory fragment that Wen Xishu learned of Yuan’s plan—

Ultimate mission: resurrect Li Wei’an.

Sub-task 1: Establish an absolutely safe world, so that she won’t suffer after being resurrected.

Sub-task 2: Eliminate all factors that could lead to ”loss”: disease, aging, accidents, harm from others.

Sub-task 3: If the nature of humanity inherently leads to pain... then reshape humanity. I will change the underlying logic of human suffering.

It is worth mentioning that there was initially a confrontation between Taurus and Yuan.

In this confrontation, Taurus and Yuan surprisingly tied.

Neither side used their full strength; Taurus was amazed to meet such a non-human being for the first time.

Different from wronged souls, gods and demons, the unknown... a completely different evolution curve. Especially, Yuan’s evolution was rooted in knowledge.

It stemmed from humanity’s exploration of science, but also from the special rules brought by the apocalypse.

But what Yuan wanted was not like other non-humans, who continually fought, devoured, but—constant improvement.

Yuan also didn’t exert her full strength because, by that time, Yuan already had the computing ability to analyze the opponent’s intent to kill and malice.

In Wen Xishu’s view, Yuan’s power might not reach the constellation level, but seeing Taurus’s attitude, as if he found a treasure, hints at her high potential.

Especially since Taurus said this sentence:

”You have been chosen by the sequence. Do you know what this means?”

Yuan didn’t answer this question in the memory fragments, nor did Taurus elaborate.

But Wen Xishu had already guessed it.

Yuan...

Had become human.

After Li Wei’an granted a soul and after spending countless years together, Yuan herself didn’t know she had become human.

She could transform humans into Mechanical Race; she herself had no flesh and blood...

But in the eyes of the apocalyptic rules, she was human, her unique fate trajectory was able to attract the sequence.

”After that, many years passed... her body kept evolving, the evolved her could gain higher computing power, the most terrifying thing is, she wasn’t AI, she was human, she had creativity, rather than a reorganization after integrating resources.”

”Presumably, now she is the strongest existence among non-human forces.”

Wen Xishu knew that someone like this might achieve accomplishments similar to the Old Principal’s.

Especially since they both have similar destinies, wanting to change this world.

But Wen Xishu was still a bit curious.

What about Zhou Xiaoxiao?

In all memory fragments, whether main thread or side thread, there was no memory regarding Zhou Xiaoxiao.

That was Li Wei’an and Zhou Ming’s child.

The day Li Wei’an died, Yuan acquired a body, but the subsequent memories did not show any experiences related to Zhou Xiaoxiao.

All were her continual restructuring, continual evolution in the apocalypse.

”Two possible outcomes, either Zhou Xiaoxiao died... When Yuan returned, Zhou Xiaoxiao might have already died. But this possibility isn’t big.”

”Li Wei’an certainly would have settled Zhou Xiaoxiao before rescuing Yuan. After all, for her, Zhou Xiaoxiao is equally important, her own flesh and blood.”

”If Zhou Xiaoxiao is still alive, with Yuan’s memory, she would protect Zhou Xiaoxiao...”

”But in all memory fragments, there’s no Zhou Xiaoxiao.”

Wen Xishu soon thought of a key point.

”These memories... are Yuan’s past memories, as Asdoku, the Zeroer says, they will periodically grow... errors.”

”Yuan probably also agrees with this point, she needs to regularly zero these errors to avoid her own pain.”

”But she doesn’t dare reveal Zhou Xiaoxiao. Even to a confidant like Asdoku the Zeroer, she absolutely doesn’t dare expose Zhou Xiaoxiao’s existence...”

”Perhaps, Zhou Xiaoxiao is her Achilles’ heel.”

”Asdoku the Zeroer didn’t delete these memory fragments, didn’t zero them, during my invasion process, I could see these memories...”

”Does it mean that he actually thinks there should be someone named Zhou Xiaoxiao inside?”

Wen Xishu vaguely felt something was amiss.

Firstly, why couldn’t Yuan delete these memories herself?

”Maybe, in her humanity, these aren’t errors, instead they are treasures.”

”But these things also trapped her. She might not realize that when she was AI, she was a rational person...”

”But after becoming human, she might be... an emotionally rich person, trapped in emotions.”

”Hence, she couldn’t delete what she valued, only create a Zeroer to delete them.”

”But she had long written that grand goal into her life, so no matter how she deletes it, as long as the goal doesn’t change, the memory creating that goal will continuously self-generate, then torment her, trapping her in Li Wei’an’s death.”

”She must resurrect Li Wei’an to escape this pain... or accept Li Wei’an’s death.”

”She kept the parts related to Zhou Xiaoxiao, presumably she doesn’t want people to know about Zhou Xiaoxiao.”

Suddenly, Wen Xishu felt all this made sense.

”Zhou Xiaoxiao is still alive, very possibly, only this child can unlock Yuan’s heart knot.”

From these memories, with a bit of thought, Wen Xishu reached this conclusion.

Correspondingly, it’s feared that Asdoku, who has always been responsible for zeroing, also knows this result.

Perhaps Asdoku is also looking for that human child named Zhou Xiaoxiao.

”Then there’s Divine Dawn, this thing, perhaps related to resurrection?”

”But according to my Netherworld experience, resurrection is impossible, life and death are separate, it’s definite. Even a constellation level powerhouse like Taurus must obey life and death rules.”

”This is ironclad. I’m afraid Divine Dawn has another plot, but Taurus utilized Yuan’s obsession... After all, Yuan has become human, no matter how high the computing power, she can still be deceived.”

”The problem is, how do I make her believe me?”

Many problems still need resolving.

Wen Xishu sighed deeply:

”One by one, first, I need to reclaim my own body.”

Wen Xishu quickly began the journey of the fourth stage.

Actually, if one can pass the first three stages, then they are already adapted to the fourth stage’s intensity.

For Wen Xishu, he had already completed ”rebirth.”

...

...

Asdoku’s Zeroer Library.

Inside the ring-shaped library, Asdoku was browsing memories; he needed to store various histories and developments of the entire Mechanical City into his database.

History is the best teacher; in Asdoku’s view, some secrets might not be obtainable directly, but through the changes in the Mechanical City, one can see some clues.

Unfortunately, Asdoku didn’t obtain what he wanted. As usual, some things remained mysterious.

The recent sole variation was the emergence of the machine named Shadow Warrior.

This machine has now become his possession.

After inspecting everything and zeroing useless, desire-driven memories, Asdoku headed to the ”Champion Exhibition Room.”

In Asdoku’s ”Champion Exhibition Room,” Wen Xishu and champions of past underground fighting tournaments were standing like sculptures.

Asdoku came here, looking at the machines; he felt like an ancient emperor entering his palace, seeing the civil and military officials.

He greatly enjoyed this feeling.

Because Longxia’s history had a long period that actually revolved around the word—Emperor.

A history enthusiast like him naturally favored the feeling of being an emperor.

The machines displayed were arranged in two rows like officials during a court audience.

But in a corner he didn’t notice, the newest official ”Shadow Warrior” blinked its eyes.
