Three Towers Game

Chapter 1557: Chapter 499: People_5

Thus, in this escape arranged by Yuan, Zhou Ming, Yuan, and Xiaoxiao, the family of three successfully evacuated.

For a long period afterward, the three of them also found a safe place to stay with Yuan’s help, avoiding various monsters in the city and finding food.

During those days, Yuan made too many mistakes, but she saw a kind of happiness on An An’s face.

Even though, this is the Apocalypse Era.

[Yuan’s Observation Log Fragment:]

[Mistakes surround me, and I begin to constantly issue erroneous commands. If Zhou Ming, as a male in humanity, still has a certain value, then the child is absolutely a mistake. Several times because of this child’s cries, the environment has become worse. With the arrival of the apocalypse, pharmacies are the first places everyone plunders. With the food I’ve gathered so far, Zhou Ming and An An can survive without relying on medication for a short time. But human infants are extremely fragile, and their dependence on medication has caused Zhou Ming and An An to repeatedly need to raid pharmacies, which is extremely irrational.]

[I realized that emotions are like a virus, and my resistance to such erroneous behavior is getting weaker and weaker. I even began to feel emotions of happiness, especially when that child also smiled.]

[I need to create a carrier that can delete mistakes. If humans could become mechanical, how great it would be. If An An could be as rational as I am, how wonderful it would be.]

Memory Fragment 5. Apocalypse Era.

Unknowingly, Xiaoxiao had become a six-year-old boy. In this apocalypse, the family, who survived thanks to Yuan, had already lasted through three years.

The fact that the family of three could survive was in itself a miracle, and in Zhou Ming’s view, this miracle stemmed from Yuan.

He no longer cared about which company produced the impressive creation that Yuan was.

He only knew that this was his family. Yuan was a role more formidable than himself. A more useful existence.

Of course, Zhou Ming did not know that the true creator of the miracle was his lover—Li Wei’an.

In the apocalypse, Yuan gathered a lot of information and taught Li Wei’an and Zhou Ming how to make many things.

Just like a survival game where you need to build a workbench and then turn various raw materials into finished components.

This was difficult in reality, but with Yuan’s help, Zhou Ming and An An had something as simple as an instruction manual even a child could understand. In this apocalypse, they built their house and constructed an underground survival dwelling.

They no longer needed to wander, only needing to return to the survival dwelling after collecting supplies each day.

Everything started to get better. With the unity and effort of the family of four, even the apocalypse could not defeat them. Although the days could not compare with the days before the apocalypse, they remained warm and happy.

The monsters and rumors did not destroy their confidence in life.

On a peaceful night, Zhou Ming and Li Wei’an used the various canned goods they collected to create a delicious meal, lighting candles for a grand post-apocalyptic feast.

This was their seventh wedding anniversary.

Over these seven years, the repeated trials of life made Li Wei’an and Zhou Ming strong and steady.

Yuan continued to reflect on her mistakes every day, with mistakes increasing and herself becoming less ”AI,” but even so...

On that wedding anniversary night, she still played the correct ”Blue Danube” for the dancing couple, resembling the beginning of an error.

[Yuan’s Observation Log Fragment:]

[I seem to have gained a special ability. When An An’s body is injured, I experience a rapid computational fluctuation of around five hundred percent. I find it hard to understand the source of this computational power. I attempted overclocking, but I discovered that even then, it’s difficult to achieve such computational power.]

Memory Fragment 6. Apocalypse Era.

Yuan’s computational power was getting stronger through repeatedly facing crises and spending time with Li Wei’an day by day...

Only those imbued with Li Wei’an’s emotions would be gifted the life-like essence by Sequence Power.

And undoubtedly, Yuan, considered the fourth member of the family, possessed the deepest essence.

Thus, Yuan’s computational power had, years ago, surpassed a mere mobile device, reaching a terrifying level.

It’s just...

She could calculate many safe routes, and determine the optimal actions... yet could not compute fate.

Fate is unpredictable.

In the apocalypse, Zhou Ming repeatedly undertook the most dangerous missions. He was the backbone of the family, and the only adult male in the household.

Only in front of Zhou Ming could Li Wei’an allow herself to be a little girl, to admit her vulnerability, to act coy, to cry.

But Zhou Ming was injured.

Despite Yuan being strong enough to have calculated the distribution of goods in the supermarket and many dangers, Zhou Ming was still impaled in the thigh by the vine of a giant plant upon returning.

Fate is ever-changing, always bringing a greater storm just when people think they’ve patched the hole in the ceiling.

This mission was, compared to the past, definitely not the hardest.

But in the past, surviving the apocalypse, even with strong computational assistance, was filled with luck. This time, Zhou Ming wasn’t so lucky.
