Three Towers Game

The elder men were drinking, while Wen Xishu was resting in the Deceit Tower lounge.

Celestial Essence Region.

Yes, he started climbing the tower again.

Of course, Wen Xishu wasn’t making a seamless transition; he didn’t immediately activate the login device upon returning to the bunker, stepping from the Slaughter Tower directly into the Deceit Tower.

He did take a short break in the bunker.

But during this short time, he felt quite frustrated, desperately wanting to unwind in the Deceit Tower.

Upon returning to the bunker, Wen Xishu was informed that he needed to prepare for the upcoming lessons.

As the director of the Deceit Tower Academy, he had to teach. He already had quite a number of students.

This year’s recruitment was completed, and with the help of the William Family’s young master, the Deceit Tower Academy was becoming a prestigious institution, offering accommodations and meals beyond standard practices.

Moreover, the Deceit Tower Academy students’ mental state was twisted enough.

Survey results showed a significant number of students willing to be trodden underfoot by Tang Rui, and others developed desires, including but not limited to, a craving for tentacles, eyes, and tumors.

That’s great... but Wen Xishu didn’t know how to teach this.

In this world, some people are simply not suited to be coaches or teachers.

Imagine you are an exceptionally talented soccer player, and you tell your apprentice how to score a goal—you just have to pass all the defenders, then also bypass the goalkeeper, and that’s it.

In your eyes, it might seem doable, but for a player of ordinary talent, you seem like an alien.

Wen Xishu thought he... probably had decent skills, so he really wasn’t cut out for teaching.

Especially since, he was a cheat.

But while enjoying the Academy Spirit’s warm towel, he heard:

”The students hope you’ll teach classes, rather than continually letting them experience... experience some twisted stuff.”

”What you’ve done in the Memory Record facility, to them, is somewhat too challenging.”

”They hope to get problem-solving insights and learn your way of thinking.”

”It’s best if within... well, three days, you prepare your first lesson. This will bolster confidence in the Deceit Tower Academy.”

Wen Xishu found this bothersome.

Far less relaxed than tower climbing. So he went to climb the tower.

Before climbing, he tasked the Academy Spirit with finding someone skilled in persuasion.

In Wen Xishu’s previous life, many authors were quite mediocre; their storytelling skills weren’t impressive, but with some packaging, they could teach others how to write books. While their own skills might be amateurish, they could analyze various works for newcomers with coherence. Anyway, critiquing is always easier than creating.

Wen Xishu now needed such people to teach theoretical knowledge.

The Academy Spirit accepted the command to find a ”masterful lecturer.”

But Wen Xishu himself was indeed pondering his first lesson.

Perhaps he should make these students understand one thing, to step out of a misconception.

But right now, that wasn’t his task. He stood in the Celestial Essence District, beginning to assess the journey ahead.

Undoubtedly, this was a journey aiming towards ”clarity.”

To achieve consummation in the Deceit Tower, Wen Xishu decided not to use the invitation letter lightly.

So now before entering the Deceit Tower, he would carefully examine the tasks.

[Task level, fifty layers.]

[Task name: Libra Tavern.]

[Task description: This is probably a place loved by both Scorpio and Libra, but ultimately whose favor you can gain depends on your performance in this task.

It is said there’s a place that harbors a tavern capable of recruiting various heroes. Heroes of all kinds are there, waiting to be recruited.

Construct your hero lineup to overcome various obstacles and lead them to their home.

But remember, the balance of life will never tilt. Good luck to you.]

That’s the task description.

If it weren’t for the final sentence—the balance will never tilt...

Then this would appear to be a card-drawing game—viewing heroes as cards, different cards corresponding to different difficulties, constructing a deck, and smoothly passing.

Very cliché, Wen Xishu is a veteran of the Slaughter Tower.

But this was his initial exploration of the Deceit Tower’s fiftieth layer, and at this level, problems are often not simple.

”The balance will never tilt... the key should be this sentence.”

Wen Xishu couldn’t quite figure it out, but he wasn’t in a panic either; once inside the Deceit Tower, many problems would naturally be resolved.

It’s worth mentioning that solely from the combat performance standpoint, the effect of the Scorpion Knife this time, compared to the Mad Dice, was equally noteworthy.

Wen Xishu threw the Mad Dice and ended up with a combination with very few options—443. Due to the lack of options, Wen Xishu discovered a new feature of the Mad Dice.

The options left to Wen Xishu, excluding the option with no substantive attributes like ”Double the Good Things,” only had one—”Upside Down.”

And when Wen Xishu first chosen ”Double the Good Things,” he received an interesting prompt—

[The current options are insufficient to realize all options, hence this throw will add one of the user’s most favored options.]

The most favored option means the one selected most frequently.

This option is Three-phase Power.

Thus, Wen Xishu’s options this round were Three-phase Power, Upside Down.

Upside Down is a very twisted property, able to turn losses from four erroneous actions into gains, and can also convert three negative effects into positive effects.

Coupled with Three Phases, the performance of the Mad Dice was as usual, akin to bugs and cheats, but this time the Scorpion Knife’s attributes were also excellent.
