The Sinful Young Master

Chapter 308: Master of Chaos - 6

The duel reached its crescendo when both warriors simultaneously unleashed their ultimate techniques.

”You have surprised me, young man, but I won’t let this be your win.”

Vareth’s form blazed with the light of a dozen suns as he channelled the full fury of the stellar realm into a single, perfect strike.

”Now take the might of my stellar fire.”

Ekatarina’s face changed instantly. Vareth was seriously trying to kill Jolthar. The Stellar fire was a technique Vareth developed only for himself, and it was derived from the chaos origin.

She hadn’t seen him using the technique for quite a while.

She would step in if Jolthar was in danger. She held herself back, waiting. She couldn’t just barge in, the elder; her people wouldn’t agree with her.

Astralend became a comet of pure destruction, its edge trailing fire that burned away the very concept of defense.

Jolthar’s response was to embrace the full chaos of his merged powers. He watched the attack take its shape and come towards him.

The blue-purple aura that surrounded him expanded into a maelstrom of energies that existed in multiple dimensions simultaneously.

Horgath became the eye of this storm, its dark surface reflecting patterns that hurt to perceive directly.

When the two ultimate techniques met, the result was an explosion that tested the very foundations of the ancient safe haven.

The entire place shook and trembled under the might of this explosion.

The elves panicked, but the Elder, Ekatarina, assured them it was all right. All of them moved back while Ekatarina had a barrier to protect them.

There was a large crater at the place where there was a meadow before. The land cleaved deep inside so much that now it looked like a well.

For a moment that lasted an eternity, creation and destruction existed in perfect balance.

The assembled elves watched in stunned silence as their understanding of power itself was rewritten before their eyes.

Here was a mortal boy who had not merely challenged one of their greatest champions but had forced him to reveal abilities that few living beings had ever witnessed.

When the energies finally dissipated and the area fell silent, both warriors stood motionless at opposite ends of the shattered meadow.

Vareth’s perfect armour showed cracks that spoke of pressures beyond imagining, while Jolthar’s more mortal form bore the marks of having channelled forces that should have torn him apart.

Yet both remained standing, their weapons still blazing with residual power, their gazes locked in mutual recognition of worthiness.

And Jolthar showed no signs of corruption. He was perfectly all right after using the chaos aura. He checked himself, looking down at his hands and the sword Horgath.

A smile crossed his lips, realising that he had succeeded.

It was Vareth who spoke first, his voice carrying a note of wonder that surprised even himself. ”In all my centuries, I have never faced an opponent who could push me to such limits. Your power... it is unlike anything in our chronicles.”

Jolthar’s response was equally respectful, though tempered by the exhaustion of having channelled such devastating energies. ”And I have never fought anyone whose skill could force me to discover new depths within myself. You are truly deserving of your reputation among your people.”

”Maaster,” Jolthar smiled.

Vareth’s brows furrowed, and slight anger rose up his face. ”You dare call me master after you defeat me?”

”Well, you are the one who taught me. So it’s fair to call you maaaaster, Master.”

”Stop, stop calling me. It’s getting on my nerves.”

The watching elves erupted in applause that shook the very foundations of their realm.

They weren’t sad that Vareth had lost against Jolthar because they saw him as one of their own now. And he showed them one hell of a battle, which made their blood rush.

Ael’koryna are battle-crazed people and love to see such bouts. And seeing such a spectacle made their hearts swell.

They had witnessed something unprecedented—not merely a duel between powerful beings but the birth of a new form of power that bridged the gap between order and chaos.

In that moment, any doubts about Jolthar’s worthiness as an ally were swept away like leaves before a hurricane.

Ekatarina, bearing an expression of satisfaction that had been absent for far too long. ”The duel is concluded,” she announced, her voice carrying to every corner of the destroyed meadow.

”Let all who witnessed this day remember that power takes many forms and that sometimes the greatest strength lies not in perfection but in the courage to embrace the impossible.”

”Jolthar of humans, you have proved it today.”

Master of chaos!!

Master of chaos!!

The crowd who were running for their lives before are now chanting the name. They weren’t even the least intimidated by Jolthar.

The chaos aura that had manifested during the duel continued to flicker around Jolthar like a living thing, its blue-purple energies now fully integrated into his being.

He had not merely survived the confrontation with one of the elven realm’s greatest champions—he had evolved, becoming something new and unprecedented in the process.

It was in the morning, an hour after dawn. Sunlight broke through the canopies of the forest.

A wagon was moving through the forest, pulled by the largely black horses.

An old man holding the reins wheeled the wagon. He wasn’t wearing any fancy clothing, just a normal outfit, and inside the wagon, there were two people, dressed in grey-coloured attire; their faces were covered. Their journey had been silent, only for the sound of the horses’ hooves hitting the ground and the rustling of leaves as they passed by.

As they came out of the forest, a vast city came into view, with tall buildings and a massive structure on the east side of the city, one of the biggest forges in these parts of the land.

The city was alive with people and trade, with lots of people going in and out.

The wagon soon ended up on a trail which led towards the city.
