The Sinful Young Master

Chapter 307: Master of Chaos - 5

As Vareth launched another devastating sequence, his blade carving patterns of destruction that left afterimages burned into the air itself, Jolthar made a decision that would terrify the whole elven community.

Aelʼkoryna had only one true power all their lives, and it was chaos. They grew up with chaos, so they werenʼt aware and wouldnʼt dare to practise other sources.

Ekatarina held her breath as she noticed Jolthar doing something. The sudden shift in his aura made her sense that.

He reached deep within himself, past the chaos energy that had become his signature, down to the blue aura that marked his mastery of the sword.

For a moment that stretched like eternity, he held both powers in perfect tension, feeling them strain against each other like opposing magnets.

Then, with an act of will that sent shockwaves through the assembled observers, he forced them to merge.

The resulting explosion of energy shattered every piece of crystal within a hundred yards, sending rainbow fragments cascading down like deadly snow.

The Elder and Ekatarina acted swiftly and held a barrier against the elves and shielded them from the explosion.

Jolthar had now completed the union of chaos and aura, deriving the chaos aura from it.

When the light faded and the air cleared, Jolthar stood transformed.

The blue aura that had once marked him as a master swordsman now swirled together with his chaos power in patterns that defied description.

Purple-black energy shot through with veins of electric blue created a corona around him that seemed to exist in more dimensions than the eye could properly process.

This was chaos aura—a power that had never existed before, born from the fusion of order and entropy in perfect, impossible balance.

And right now, Jolthar wasnʼt feeling any effects, and he wouldnʼt experience them in the near future either.

Where his previous use of such merged energies had been crude and corrosive, threatening to destroy him from within, this new manifestation was controlled, disciplined, and refined through pain and experience into something approaching mastery.

The training with the chaos sword Vorthak had helped him understand the true essence of the chaos, which in turn helped him understand the chaos aura.

The chaos aura was a lot more unpredictable than any power he wielded, and its destructive power was no match for anything.

The effect on his swordplay was immediate and devastating.

Horgath, already a weapon of terrible power, now sang with energies that made the assembled elves lean forward in their seats.

They were completely flabbergasted by what he did.

The Elder merely chuckled, and Ekatarina shook her head.

”This boy…he is a walking powerhouse.”

Each movement of the blade left tears in reality that sealed themselves with flashes of blue lightning. The noise followed by the sword movements made oneʼs hair stand.

The void shook every place where his sword struck.

Where the chaos aura touched the air, space itself rippled like water, creating optical effects that hurt to look upon directly.

Varethʼs response was to call upon powers that he had not needed to access in centuries.

His own aura blazed forth—not the merely physical enhancement that most warriors employed, but the true stellar fire that marked him as one of the star-blessed.

Astralend became a conduit for the fury of supernovas, its edge burning with heat that could have melted mountains.

What followed was no longer merely a duel between two skilled warriors—it was a confrontation between fundamental forces of creation and destruction.

Each clash of their blades sent shockwaves through the meadow and the entire land around it. The whole of the meadow was beginning to crack and buckle under the pressure of energies that had never been meant to coexist in the same space.

Joltharʼs chaos aura lashed out in patterns that seemed almost alive, tendrils of purple-blue energy seeking to engulf his opponent while simultaneously protecting him from Varethʼs devastating counterattacks.

The elfʼs stellar fire met these manifestations head-on, creating explosions of light and sound that forced the watching elves to shield their eyes despite their supernatural resilience.

The young manʼs technique had evolved beyond mere swordplay into something that bordered on the mystical.

His movements were no longer bound by the limitations of mortal flesh—the chaos aura carried him through sequences that should have been impossible, allowing him to strike from angles that violated the normal rules.

Yet for all the otherworldly nature of his assault, there was a precision to it that spoke of iron discipline and countless hours of practice.

Vareth found himself pressed as he had not been in living memory.

His opponentʼs new power was not just strong but adaptable, seeming to learn and evolve with each exchange. Where before he had been able to predict and counter Joltharʼs attacks through superior experience, now he faced something that defied prediction entirely.

The chaos aura created openings that vanished before they could be exploited and turned his own strengths against him in ways that should have been impossible.

Yet the elf was far from defeated.

Drawing upon reserves of power that made the air itself sing with tension, he began to manifest techniques that existed at the very pinnacle of elven martial arts.

Astralend became a blur of motion as he executed the Nineteen Sacred Forms in rapid succession, each one building upon the last until the very concept of defense became meaningless in the face of such overwhelming assault.

The watching elves gasped in appreciation as patterns of stellar fire painted themselves across the uprooted land walls.

Here was their champion displaying the full breadth of his abilities, techniques that had been refined across millennia into instruments of transcendent destruction. Yet even as they marvelled at Varethʼs skill, they could not help but notice that his opponent was not merely surviving the onslaught—he was adapting to it.

Joltharʼs chaos aura seemed to drink in the patterns of Varethʼs assault, analysing and cataloguing each technique before developing counters that should not have been possible. Where the elfʼs blade carved paths of stellar destruction, the young manʼs chaos energy created voids that swallowed light itself.

Astralendʼs harmony sought to impose order through perfect technique; Horgathʼs discord answered with patterns that existed beyond the boundaries of conventional understanding.
