The Quest for Immortality

Mo Hua deeply felt the obscurity of the Law and the profundity of the Great Dao.

But it was precisely because of this that there was an indescribable ”beauty of natural order.”

And this beauty of natural order was hidden within the Formation.

Without exhausting one’s mind, without meditative contemplation, without diving into the Formation, spending countless days and nights immersing oneself, it is utterly impossible to glimpse the grandeur and splendor of the Great Dao and the Law.

Mo Hua’s expression was dazed, in shock for a long time.

But after the deep shock, Mo Hua suddenly fell into a brief confusion.

The great principles, he understood them.

The grand logic of Laws, he had barely begun to glimpse.

But then what?

What should he do next? How specifically should he comprehend and how should he apply it?

The master once said to apply what you learn.

Having realized the Dao, having understood the Law, if it is not applied, wouldn’t it be a waste of understanding and learning?

But the Laws related to this ”Taotie” are too ancient and magnificent, the various Law connections, dependency between formations and Laws, numerous changes, are just too complex.

Mo Hua’s head was somewhat confused, thought for a while, then took out paper and pen and did some sorting.

He first started from the aspect of Formations.

He sorted out some Formations from the beginning.

As for the names of the Formations, he also renamed them in accordance with the ”Law” logic.

Second Grade, Twenty Patterns: Bone ”Dragon Transformation” Formation.

Second Grade, Twenty-One Patterns: Four Symbols Green Dragon Formation.

Second Grade, Twenty-Three Patterns: Taotie ”Transformation” Formation.

Second Grade, Twenty-Four Patterns: Twelve Scripture Taotie Spirit Corpse Formation.

All of these without exception are Ultimate Formations.

Among them, the Bone ”Dragon Transformation” Formation and the Taotie ”Transformation” Formation were both discovered by Mo Hua himself.

Originally, in the inheritance of the Great Wilderness, what they were named Mo Hua didn’t know.

But it doesn’t matter.

Mo Hua, according to his own understanding, contemplated the Laws, sorted the system, and constructed his own Formation framework.

The myriad measures of the world, the grand path of Formations, are all at my disposal.

These Formations of the Great Wilderness, what they were called in the original inheritance, doesn’t really matter.

Anyway, now, whatever names I call them, that’s what they are.

And now, the Laws inherent in these four Ultimate Formations, without exception, Mo Hua hadn’t comprehended.

Therefore, these four Ultimate Formations, he hadn’t learned any.

If he wanted to learn...

Mo Hua attempted, starting with the first one, the seemingly ”simplest” Second Grade, Twenty Patterns Bone Dragon Transformation Formation.

If he wanted to master this Absolute Formation engraved in the heavy armor of the ancestors of the Shugubu, he first had to comprehend the ”Dragon Transformation” Law.

But the problem is, Mo Hua couldn’t comprehend the Law of ”Dragon Transformation.”

Because Dragon Transformation has prerequisite Laws.

One must first understand the ”Transformation” Law of Taotie, to use the residual Patterns of Taotie after its ”Devouring” and ”Assimilation,” to perform Formation Pattern fusion with the ”Dragon Transformation” Law.

And the one containing the ”Transformation” Law of Taotie is the Second Grade, Twenty-Three Patterns Taotie Transformation Formation derived from the portrait of the Barbarian God of Shugu.

That is to say, to first learn the Second Grade, Twenty Patterns Bone Formation is not possible.

One must first master the Second Grade, Twenty-Three Patterns Taotie Transformation Formation, understand Taotie’s ”Transformation,” then return to learn the Second Grade, Twenty Patterns Bone Formation.

Mo Hua couldn’t help but curse.

Using the Twenty-Three Pattern Law to block the understanding of the Twenty Pattern Formation.

Can’t learn the Twenty-Three Pattern Formation, can’t comprehend the Twenty Pattern Ultimate Formation.

This ghostly place Great Wilderness, all kinds of Law interweave and mix absurdly, it’s absurd to an absurd degree...

No choice, Mo Hua could only leave the Bone Absolute Formation for the moment, to look at the Twenty-Three Pattern Taotie Transformation Formation.

Learn the difficult one first, then come back to learn the simple one.

Such a thing sounds absurd, but currently, it is the only way...

”But how should one comprehend the Twenty-Three Pattern Taotie Transformation Formation?”

Mo Hua frowned, unable to stop pondering.

In terms of Law, the broader logical issues, he had almost thought them through.

But this kind of Law comprehension is ”illusory,” is ”empty.”

The current problem is on the ”real” level, is the problem of ”practical operation,” is how to integrate ”Law” with ”Formation.”

Only in this way can one use the ”Formation” to practically apply the ”Transformation” Law of Taotie.

Only then can one have Taotie ”devour” the Formation, and assimilate and digest the Formation, extracting homogenous Formation ”residual Patterns” as material for Dragon Transformation.

But...

How to let Taotie eat the Formation?

Directly feeding other Four Symbols Demon Pattern Formations to the Twenty-Three Pattern Taotie Transformation Formation?

Can this really work?

Mo Hua frowned, unsure, so decided to try it himself.

Reality is the manifestation of Law.

Whether it will work or not, one will know after trying.

Mo Hua drew a Four Symbols Demon Pattern on site, but just after finishing, he was stunned.

The Taotie Formation isn’t an actual Taotie ”Fierce Beast”, it won’t actively eat anything, let alone a Formation.

How to feed it a Formation?

Or even if fed, would it ”eat”?

Moreover, having not comprehended the Taotie Law himself, he couldn’t truly activate the Twenty-Three Pattern Taotie Transformation Formation.

Even if the ”Monster Pattern” was fed to it, what would happen then?

An inactive Formation is merely a dead Formation...

Mo Hua let out a deep sigh.

In just these few moments of thought, problems emerged one after the other.

These Ultimate Formations really aren’t things humans can learn...

Mo Hua could only patiently find ways to solve them one by one.

Comprehending Formations is in itself a process of continuously discovering difficulties and resolving them.

Solving all difficulties means the Formation can be comprehended.

Therefore, encountering ”difficulties” precisely indicates that one is already on the path of ”comprehension.”
