The Quest for Immortality

Xun Ziyou dared not disturb.

After an unspecified amount of time, Elder Master Xun returned to his senses and asked Xun Ziyou, ”Are you sure you saw... Mo Hua using a sword?”

Xun Ziyou pondered for a moment and shook his head, ”He didn’t have a sword in his hand, but he pointed his fingers to his brow, and then there seemed to be sword light in his eyes...”

”Are you sure it was sword light?”

Being questioned like this, Xun Ziyou wasn’t too sure either.

He didn’t see the full picture, only saw mottled golden threads, faintly forming a phantom of a sword blade.

But whether it was actually sword light, he couldn’t be certain.

”But there was sword intent...”

”Are you sure it was sword intent?”

Xun Ziyou had nothing to say again.

Sword intent pertains to Divine Thought, elusive and intangible, he could only ”feel” it based on his experience, but had no way to verify it.

Elder Master Xun’s gaze intensified, then resolutely said, ”So, this is not the Taixu Mind Transforming Sword True Jue of the Taixu Gate!”

Even if there is the slightest chance, it must not be allowed!

The Taixu Divine Thought into Sword is a forbidden technique of the Taixu Gate.

No matter how exceptional or favored Mo Hua is, currently, he is still just an Outer Gate Disciple of the Taixu Gate.

An Outer Gate Disciple stealing forbidden techniques of the Sect is a grave crime.

If it gets out, the Taixu Gate will be unable to handle the situation.

If Mo Hua were to be punished, he couldn’t bear it from the bottom of his heart.

Stealing forbidden techniques, according to general Sect laws, at the least could lead to the abolition of cultivation and expulsion from the Sect, and at the most, could result in execution.

If not punished, it would give leverage to others and invite criticism from other Sects.

Even within the Sect, it would be impossible to gain the people’s loyalty.

Everyone would start thinking of stealing forbidden techniques by following the example.

This is behavior that corrupts the Sect’s customs.

Therefore, it is absolutely impossible for Mo Hua to have mastered the Taixu Mind Transforming Sword True Jue.

Elder Master Xun said, ”He’s only at Foundation Establishment and is not a Sword Cultivator; how could he have learned Divine Thought into Sword? Moreover, he didn’t even have a sword in his hand...”

Xun Ziyou was taken aback, finding it reasonable.

At first, he assumed and thought some things without basis, but upon closer consideration, these indeed do not quite align with the ”rules” of the Divine Thought into Sword Swordsmanship.

It’s just that Mo Hua had always been peculiar, and for a moment, he didn’t think deeply.

But no matter how peculiar, basic Tao Cultivation laws must be observed.

According to the Sect’s records, Divine Thought into Sword is not cultivated in this manner...

Xun Ziyou nodded, then looked up and glanced at Elder Master Xun.

”Then, Ancestor... what Taoist Skill did Mo Hua use? Was it a kind of special Divine Thought Technique?”

After all, even a Third Grade Pig Monster could be slain.

Elder Master Xun remained silent.

Xun Ziyou observed the expression and was a bit surprised in his heart, and said, ”Ancestor, you don’t know either?”

Elder Master Xun raised his head, silently looking at him.

Xun Ziyou immediately realized he had spoken too much, quickly settled down, lowered his head to drink tea, and did not dare to ask more.

Elder Master Xun pondered for a while, then said to Xun Ziyou:

”This matter is a bit strange, but you don’t need to be overly alarmed. It’s somewhat absurd for a Foundation Establishment individual to slay a Golden Core Demon Beast... Moreover, you should be clear about what foundation and background Mo Hua has.”

”His level of Formation is perhaps unmatched by his peers.”

”But when it comes to direct combat power, he’s far behind.”

”Let alone, to single-handedly slay creatures like a Third Grade Demon Beast, this matter is most likely...”

Elder Master Xun paused, then continued, ”He had some protective Treasure on him, and in a moment of crisis, it automatically protected its master and killed that Third Grade Demon Beast.”

”Protective Treasure?” Xun Ziyou was stunned, then nodded, ”The Ancestor’s words make sense.”

To be honest, he didn’t really believe it.

But he had no other explanation.

Moreover, since it was spoken by the Ancestor, he didn’t dare to refute it.

Seeing Xun Ziyou’s skepticism, Elder Master Xun simply waved his hand, ”You don’t have to worry about this matter, I have it under control.”

”Yes.” Xun Ziyou cupped his hands.

The Ancestor said so, and he didn’t dare to speak further. Xun Ziyou bowed respectfully, ”Then Ancestor, I shall take my leave first.”

Elder Master Xun nodded slightly, looking at Xun Ziyou, and reminded, ”This matter... don’t let it get out, and don’t speak carelessly about it.”

”Especially, the Divine Thought into sword True Jue... regardless of its authenticity, spreading it out will stir rumors and cause enormous trouble!”

Elder Master Xun’s tone was exceedingly grave.

Xun Ziyou was startled.

He almost forgot, this is a forbidden technique.

Forbidden techniques are not a joke.

A forbidden technique is a forbidden skill, prohibited from being cultivated, and it is recorded in the Taoist Court that no Sect’s cultivator is allowed to learn.

Thus, Mo Hua absolutely cannot master the Divine Thought into sword True Jue.

Understanding the seriousness, Xun Ziyou solemnly declared, ”Ancestor, I will forget about this matter.”

Elder Master Xun nodded, waved his hand, ”You may leave.”

”Yes.” Xun Ziyou respectfully cupped his hands and then retreated respectfully.

The Elder’s Residence fell into silence.

The candlelight flickered.

Elder Master Xun still sat in place, motionless, but his thoughts were like the candle flame, flickering unsteadily.

This matter, he couldn’t bring himself to believe.

Even if he wanted to believe, such a blatant violation of common sense, with no sign of causality, left him unable to explain it to himself.

Moreover... his senior brother...

Elder Master Xun turned his head, gazing deeply towards the back mountain, finally heaved a deep sigh.

”Taixu Mind Transforming Sword True Jue...”

These words were also a sore spot in his heart.

Once upon a time, this Sword technique symbolized the peak glory of the Taixu Gate.

At that time, Divine Thought Sword Cultivators of the Taixu Gate were as plentiful as the clouds, relying on their heart to prove the Heavenly Dao, mastering the art of Divine Mind Transforming Sword, one sword honed over a century, cutting down monsters and evils.

Under the Divine Thought into Sword, monsters and evils avoided and dared not challenge its edge.
