The Quest for Immortality

Taixu Gate, Elder’s Residence.

The end of the year was approaching, and Xun Ziyou, as usual, discussed some matters concerning the Sword Discussion Conference with Elder Master Xun.

These matters were specially arranged by Elder Master Xun.

After three rounds of tea, having discussed business almost completely, Xun Ziyou took a sip of tea and hesitated several times before asking:

”Old Ancestor, did you... teach the Mo Hua Sword Skill?”

Elder Master Xun was somewhat surprised, looked at Xun Ziyou briefly, and asked calmly, ”Why do you ask?”

Xun Ziyou was silent for a moment and then slowly said, ”Mo Hua seems to have... learned the Taixu Mind Transforming Sword True Jue...”

Elder Master Xun’s pupils shrank, ”What did you say?!”

Xun Ziyou silently repeated it.

Elder Master Xun’s gaze condensed, ”Did you see it?”

Xun Ziyou nodded slightly, ”I saw him, used Divine Thought into sword... to kill a Third Grade Pig Monster.”

Elder Master Xun was left stunned.

After a while, his brows knitted together, looked at Xun Ziyou in confusion, and slowly asked:

”Do you yourself... know what you were just saying?”

Mo Hua...

Learned Divine Thought into sword True Jue?

Killed a Third Grade Golden Core Realm Pig Monster?

How could these absurd matters possibly be linked together?

After thinking for a moment, Elder Master Xun said to Xun Ziyou:

”Bring your head over, let me examine your Sea of Consciousness...”

He now had a bit of concern whether Xun Ziyou was influenced by evil objects at Gushan Temple so that his Sea of Consciousness is still muddled, making him prone to flights of fancy and unable to distinguish between imagination and reality.

Elder Master Xun showed concern.

Xun Ziyou smiled bitterly, ”Old Ancestor, I’m fine, I truly saw it with my own eyes...”

Elder Master Xun paused in his movements, seeing Xun Ziyou’s clear gaze which didn’t seem like lying, solemnly asked:

”When did it happen?”

”Just during the day,” Xun Ziyou said, ”Mo Hua went to Refining Demon Mountain, saying he was going to cultivate a small spell point, I accidentally saw it...”

Xun Ziyou then narrated the entire course of events.

Elder Master Xun frowned, ”Did Mo Hua know that you saw it?”

Xun Ziyou pondered and said, ”I was far away and had concealed my presence. All his attention was on the Pig Monster, so he probably didn’t notice me...”

Ordinary Cultivators, even Golden Core Cultivators, while battling a Third Grade Golden Core Pig Monster, must give full attention and exert themselves fully, having no spare effort for anything else.

Especially since Mo Hua is only at the Foundation Establishment Realm.

Elder Master Xun remained silent, his expression became serious.

Xun Ziyou spoke no words.

Thus he had no choice but to take this seemingly ”absurd” event seriously.

Yet Elder Master Xun furrowed his brow, after pondering for a long time, still found it hard to connect these events.

Upon closer inspection, whether learning Divine Thought into sword or slaying a Golden Core Pig Monster, are absolutely impossible...

Mo Hua is only in Foundation, how could he learn Divine Thought into sword?

Taixu Mind Transforming Sword True Jue is Taixu Gate’s supreme Sword technique, a sect-protecting heritage, and a forbidden technique of Taixu Gate.

Each generation of Taixu Gate, exceptional Sword Dao geniuses are none without starting early arduous Sword cultivation to solidify their foundation.

Only when they reach late Golden Core stage, and their Divine Soul is stable, can they enter the threshold.

Cultivate until Feather Transformation, letting the Divine Soul out, then it achieves minor success.

Only in Heaven Void, discerning illusion from reality, can they reach God-slaying.

Foundation Building Cultivators... how could they learn Divine Thought into sword?

Moreover, Mo Hua, this child, is not even a Sword Cultivator.

He is a Loose Cultivator, grew up poor, likely had never touched a Spirit Sword, without any Sword Dao foundation.

Doesn’t even have a Lifebound Sword, how could Divine Thought transform into a sword?

Besides, where did his mentorship come from?

Taixu Divine Thought into sword requires stringent conditions, arduous cultivation, and secluded inheritance, inherently difficult to learn.

To master it, requires guidance from senior masters, otherwise it’s easy to go astray and end up in a disastrous state.

Now throughout Taixu Gate, truly proficient in Divine Thought into sword is only his solitary senior brother.

Even he, the Heaven Void Ancestor, as he doesn’t tread the Sword Dao, has never learned the Divine Thought Sword Technique.

But his senior brother...

Elder Master Xun sighed inwardly.

Senior brother is gravely injured, akin to withered wood, now even sealed in the back mountain with an uncertain fate, how could he possibly pass down the Mo Hua Sword technique?

Even if there had been a chance to teach before, Mo Hua being merely an Outer Gate Disciple, couldn’t access the back mountain.

Senior brother would seclude himself in Sword Tomb, of extremely aloof and solitary nature, even less likely to lower his stature to personally teach Mo Hua, an unrelated disciple who understands not a whit of Sword Dao, to practice Divine Thought into sword.

Furthermore, even if Mo Hua learned, and mastered it, yet... using Divine Thought into sword, surpassing realms to slay a Golden Core Demon Beast?

Not even stories can write such.

The depth required for Divine Thought into sword expertise is terrifying.

Divine Thought into sword is a profound Sword technique, with many Sword forms.

Transforming Sword Skill, Soul-Shocking Sword, God-breaking Sword, even reaching the final Godslaying Sword Form...

Each step is a barrier.

Surpassing realms to slay a Golden Core surely requires practicing Godslaying Sword.

Yet achieving the most powerful Godslaying Sword Form, it’s unknown how many years of arduous cultivation are needed, and how much dedication it requires.

It demands being nourished by time and blood.

Though Mo Hua’s Divine Thought Formation is true, but he is too young, where could he find the skills to cultivate such profound Divine Thought into sword expertise?

Even his Sword Dao genius unparalleled senior brother, at similar realm, couldn’t accomplish such a feat...

Moreover, Mo Hua’s Divine Thought has only recently formed, its strength limited.

Even if he practiced Godslaying Sword, focused all his Telekinesis, wanting to slay a Golden Core Realm Pig Monster, how easy could it be...

...

The room was silent.

Candle light flickered, flames burned bit by bit.

Elder Master Xun remained silent, immersed in prolonged contemplation.

He mulled over this matter repeatedly, feeling that everywhere was riddled with inconsistencies.
