The Quest for Immortality

Taixu Gate, to the north of the Disciple’s Residence, in a secluded mountain forest.

The sun shines brightly, ancient trees tower, the forest leaves lush and green, the scenery steeped in a subtle mist, tinged with the golden edge of the sunlight, tranquil and beautiful.

In the forest, Mo Hua practiced transforming Divine Thought into sword alone.

On the outskirts of the forest, the Big White dog sat proudly and looked around attentively, keeping watch for Mo Hua.

In its heart, Mo Hua was already the ”big brother”.

It had a sense of awareness now and volunteered to become the ”little follower” of the big brother, staying outside the small grove to guard for Mo Hua, preventing anyone from disturbing Mo Hua’s sword practice.

Of course, this was just one reason.

There’s another reason:

When Mo Hua practiced sword, the outward Divine Thought oscillation was too terrifying, the Big White dog couldn’t take it, so it ran out to the small grove to hide.

In the forest, in front of a towering ancient tree.

Mo Hua stood focused, strong thoughts in his eyes manifested into a dazzling Sword Intent, breaking through the air, striking the ancient tree in front.

Amidst the floating killing intent, one sword after another,

In the forest, the unsettling Divine Thought fluctuations rose and fell.

But as Divine Thought is inherently elusive and beyond the scope of the naked eye.

So despite Mo Hua practicing the Forbidden Sword Skill of Taixu Gate, with Divine Thought Slaughter surging, outwardly, the forest remained sunny and peaceful, occasionally a mountain breeze wafted through, besides this, there was no movement whatsoever.

Only the Big White dog at the edge of the forest occasionally felt bursts of anxiety.

After practicing for a long time, Mo Hua sat on the ground to rest, replaying in his mind for a while, shaking his head.

”Not so great...”

His previous estimates were not wrong, only when the Divine Sense formation is sufficient, further consolidating the foundation of Divine Thought, can the Godslaying Sword be executed outwardly.

His Godslaying Sword had indeed been out of the body, having a preliminary Power of Killing. .

But the moves were rough, and consequently, the flaws were quite numerous.

Firstly, the move is too slow, and the Divine Thought consumption is too large.

The Godslaying Sword is the final form of Taixu Mind Transforming Sword True Jue, better than the Soul-Shocking Sword by more than a notch.

Not to mention Mo Hua’s Godslaying Sword, it’s a ”hotchpotch” type Sword with various Daos blended, containing sword formations of severing gold, opening mountains, Li Fire, Gui Water, blended with Tai Xu Sword Intent, even the Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao...

Merging such various Sword Dao laws in, not only made the sword release too slow, but also the consumption on Divine Thought was equally immense.

Basically, Mo Hua would have to rest for a while after slashing two swords.

Moreover, the eyes would hurt, very much so.

Godslaying out of body is carried by the eye apertures to bear the Sword of Divine Thought.

Mo Hua’s flesh body was originally weak, combined with the fact that although he had Divine Thought Formation now, both his cultivation and flesh body were only at Foundation Establishment.

Divine Thought grows strong, while the flesh body is weak.

Thus, when the Sword of Divine Thought exits the body, the pressure on the eyeballs became increasingly intense.

Besides, the sword light from transforming Divine Thought into sword is innately sharp.

Holding the sword light in eyes for a long time felt like needle pricks, piercingly painful.

The last problem was the low success rate of Godslaying out of body.

From morning until now, Mo Hua practiced dozens of times, but not every time managed to successfully execute the Godslaying Sword outwardly.

First, condense, then release, requiring multitasking, sometimes the Godslaying Sword form would simply defuse.

The Sea of Consciousness has boundaries between reality and illusion, the eye aperture has distinctions between inside and outside, the Sword of Divine Thought could be stuck occasionally by these barriers, stuck unable to exit the body.

Even if it did, subsequent Divine Sense might be insufficient, the Divine Thought unstable, and the Sword Intent dissipated before even being slashed out...

Mo Hua sighed slightly.

Godslaying Sword out of body, with the illusionary Sword of Divine Thought, slaying flesh enemies in reality, seems strong, but in fact, when truly practiced, problems abound.

It’s not even proficient yet, let alone used in real combat, fighting others.

However, Mo Hua was not discouraged.

Cultivation is inherently like this.

Any spell point is just ”law”, an external ”skill”.

Even if learned, mastered, but to truly use it, is still very difficult.

Thus after practicing spell points, continual practice, continual application, continual real combat correction and improvement is necessary...

Only then can the understanding of spell points deepen, thereby truly mastering it, truly integrating cohesively.

Only after truly integrated cohesively, in cultivators’ real combat, even more severe life-and-death fights, one won’t be flustered, won’t be timid, can smoothly and confidently wield the painstakingly comprehended and practiced sword moves spell points.

Mo Hua calmed his mind, began to think deeply.

Relying on his Taoist cultivation knowledge, cultivation experience, and understanding of Divine Thought, pondering how to optimize and improve gradually the cultivation problem of executing Godslaying Sword out of body.

The forest was peaceful, the leaves green.

Sunlight fragmented into shadows, spilled over Mo Hua’s body.

Mo Hua sat quietly, his Divine Sense focused, merging with the forest.

And as he thought, his mind moved slightly, gradually formulating an idea.

”Since Divine Thought into sword is too strong, also blended with too many formations, sword arrays, and Sword Dao, it’s too burdensome... then can’t be greedy for excess, need to reduce appropriately...”

”Only blend the Five Elements Sword Formation, to drive the Godslaying Sword out of body.”

”Add some Tai Xu Sword Intent appropriately later.”

”As for the Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao, it will be left aside...”

This path, uttered by Patriarch Dugu.

But Mo Hua himself was unsure whether the one preaching to him was really Patriarch Dugu.

The matters of the back mountain were enigmatic, he couldn’t see through thoroughly.

Therefore this Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao, despite its infinite mysteries, with dubious source, and even exuding an eerie vibe, is better not executed outwardly for now.

And reducing these, the difficulty of Divine Thought exiting the body was almost halved.
