The Quest for Immortality

”On the contrary, if the armor cannot be broken, no amount of Sword Qi can harm it in the slightest...”

”The Breaking Sword Form, when cultivated to a high level, can break all evil spirits and Demon Armor.”

Mo Hua was slightly stunned.

Breaking Sword Form... Armor-breaking?

Do Demon Monsters wear armor?

He thought back a little and finally remembered that among the countless Demon Monsters he had killed, there indeed seemed to be a small part that wore ”armor.”

This kind of ”armor” looked quite primitive.

Some resembled ordinary rough iron, while others looked more like the fur and scales of the Demon Monsters themselves.

And when he strangled these Demon Monsters, the feel of this ”armor” was indeed quite hard.

But in the Dao of Divine Thought, he could ”break all techniques with brute force.”

No matter how hard the Demon Armor, he could hammer it completely with a few more punches.

If it weren’t for the Patriarch’s mention, he wouldn’t have realized that this ”armor” had another explanation.

The intricacies in the Dao of Divine Thought were indeed quite numerous...

At this time, Patriarch Dugu finally spoke of the last technique.

”Godslaying Sword...”

In Patriarch Dugu’s eyes, there was a hint of sharpness, ”It is the culmination of the Taixu Mind Transforming Sword True Jue, and also the most powerful move...”

Mo Hua was mentally revitalized, his ears perked up.

Patriarch Dugu continued, ”Its power is the greatest, yet it is also the most difficult to learn.”

”The Godslaying Sword, whether to slay humans, slay demons, or even ultimately slay gods, the first thing to be slain is oneself.”

”Use Sword Intent to continually temper your Life Soul until, ultimately, they are united as one.”

”The sword is life, it is also the soul.”

”In this way, the Divine Soul will also take on the shape of a sword, capable of slaying all objects of Divine Thought.”

”This is a process for a Sword Cultivator to fully integrate their sword, their Dao, their life, and their soul.”

”This process will be exceptionally painful and requires extreme caution.”

”Especially during the process of tempering the soul with the sword, the harm sword intent can do to the Divine Soul is immense. A slight misstep, and instead of mastering the God Slaying Technique, one might cut their own Divine Soul...” ŗåΝꝋꞖÈꞩ

Patriarch Dugu’s expression was supremely grave.

Evidently, such examples of self-slaying during God Slaying cultivation were not exceptions in the history of the Taixu Gate.

Mo Hua, however, was moved in his heart and couldn’t help but ask:

”Patriarch, how exactly does one cultivate to temper the soul with the sword, to self-slay the Divine Soul?”

Patriarch Dugu said silently:

”This is the highest secret transmission of Divine Thought into swords. It can’t be told to you now, and telling you now would only harm you.”

Mo Hua was unwilling to give up, pondered, and then said, ”Then will you teach me in the future?”

Patriarch Dugu pondered for a while, then slowly nodded.

Since he promised to teach Mo Hua the Divine Thought into sword, he would naturally not break his promise.

When the conditions allowed, he would naturally teach it.

Even though the Divine Thought into sword is currently classified as a forbidden technique in the Taixu Gate.

And the soul tempering method of the God Slaying Technique is the most ”taboo” of this forbidden technique.

”You mean you’ll teach me sooner or later?” Mo Hua asked again.

Patriarch Dugu thought for a moment, nodded, and said, ”Yes.”

”In that case,” Mo Hua said, ”since you’ll teach me sooner or later, why not tell me now so I can be mentally prepared.”

Patriarch Dugu frowned, ”What mental preparation is required?”

Mo Hua said, ”It’s just that I’ll eventually learn the ’God Slaying Technique’ mental preparation!”

Patriarch Dugu was a bit speechless.

This child, can’t even crawl yet, but thinking of flying.

”Your Sword Qi is too weak, your foundation is too poor. You are still a long way from being able to learn the Godslaying Sword, so I can’t teach you now,” Patriarch Dugu still refused.

Mo Hua tried persuading again and again, but no matter what he said, Patriarch Dugu remained unmoved.

Mo Hua sighed, feeling somewhat dejected.

Seeing Mo Hua dispirited, Patriarch Dugu suddenly felt a little guilty.

Despite Mo Hua’s poor Sword Dao aptitude, he was very diligent, eager to learn, and was currently the only ”sole progeny” left in the Taixu Gate still cultivating Divine Thought into swords.

He shouldn’t suppress his enthusiasm too much.

Patriarch Dugu’s tone carried a hint of gentleness, even if he himself didn’t realize it:

”You are still young now; it’s too early to learn this. Don’t be too hasty. Tempering the soul with the sword is extremely dangerous and too profound for you to learn now.”

Seeing Patriarch Dugu soften a bit, Mo Hua immediately said, ”I won’t learn it, just study it.”

”Study?” Patriarch Dugu was stunned.

”Yes,” Mo Hua nodded, ”My Sword Qi progresses too slowly. At this pace, who knows how many donkey’s years it will be before I can learn the real Divine Thought into swords. This can’t be helped, learning the sword isn’t accomplished in one fell swoop, but...”

”My Sword Dao foundation is weak, but my Divine Thought foundation is very strong.”

”So, why not first study it from the perspective of the Divine Sense, and figure out the principle of Divine Thought into swords at the Divine Thought level.”

”This way, Sword Qi and Divine Thought progress together without hindrance.”

”When my Sword Qi is accomplished, I will have also done some research into the changes of Divine Thought into swords in the Divine Thought, so learning it will surely be twice as effective with half the effort...”

Mo Hua said confidently.

Patriarch Dugu was silent.

Mo Hua’s words were not without reason...

Moreover, it reminded him.

The reason why he was willing to teach Mo Hua Divine Thought into swords, besides the cause and effect with Xuan Er, was mainly because Mo Hua had strong Divine Thought and was on the path of ”Divine Sense Proving the Dao.”

Sword Dao too weak, Divine Thought too strong.

In this way, perhaps it couldn’t be taught in the usual, gradual method.

Allowing him to get in touch with some Divine Thought Sword Dao techniques in advance might not be a bad thing either.

But...

Patriarch Dugu glanced at Mo Hua, ”Are you really just going to research, and not practice?”
