The Noble Lady of Lust

Chapter 278: Who went crazy?

”Eh? Astrid, why...? No, wait, let me explain it to you first. The thing is...”

”I’m sorry, but I can’t accept this.”

”Wait, what do you mean by that? No, more importantly, let me explain. She and I...”

”I can accept all the girls you want in our family, but with her I can’t do it, if it were otherwise maybe, but being like this I can’t accept this.”

What the hell is going on? I don’t understand anything. Something doesn’t connect. I’m trying to explain to her that I am Seraphina, not that she is in my harem.

Apparently, she don’t want Seraphina to be part of the family. Did I do something wrong?

I didn’t remember having any interaction with Astrid, so it must be just because it’s me (seraphina) that Astrid doesn’t like me. what’s wrong with me?

”What did I do, what’s wrong with me?”

My doppelgänger voiced my doubt . We were both in a state of confusion and wanted to clear this up.

”There is nothing wrong with you. In fact, you’re a good girl. Still, I can’t do it. I can’t accept you.... Honey, decide: it’s her or me.”

’But what the hell happened here? There’s a misunderstanding!?’

This Affair It’s not even about that, and Astrid was absolutely rejecting me.

That means she doesn’t want Seraphina. She doesn’t want me. If that happens, I wouldn’t know what to do.

I believed in the connection we had, but that belief was crumbling at the first stage.

Connecting with my other parts wasn’t helping at all; it was only confusing me more. Multiple ideas were coming to me and I didn’t know what the problem was, no matter how much I thought about it.

What’s wrong? And if he doesn’t want to see me anymore, what do I do now? what did I do wrong?’

Plack.

At that moment, I felt a strong blow on my cheek. Not knowing what was happening, I came back to reality and saw Elena, who was the culprit. At that moment...

Plack.

He hit my doppelgänger. I mean, I understood it was to talk some sense into me, but why did he hit my doppelgänger? I mean, that she also came to her senses when she hit me.

”My lady, sir Christian, make things clear and say clearly what you have to say.”

”Eh?..... Oh!!!, you’re right, Elena. It’s not the time to be confused.... Astrid.” (x2)

Unintentionally, I spoke in double. But more importantly She’s right, I can’t stay in a maelstrom of misunderstanding.

Whatever Astrid rejected me for, I had to clear things up before they got worse and find the problem.

I’ll talk before this gets any more chaotic.

”Astrid, what I want to tell you is that...”

I approached with a firm step and faded into my morphogenesis, transforming back into my original form.

”I am Seraphina.”

”...”

’Phew, I didn’t have intrusive thoughts.’

Leaving aside that they correctly came out what I wanted, I looked into her eyes, which were wide open in shock and disbelief.

She’s smart, so it shouldn’t be hard to tie it together. she already knew I could clone myself and transform.

I didn’t mind them knowing and I had already told her, just like with Lily, but she would have to think outside the box to get to the truth of my secrets.

And if they found out on their own, I honestly didn’t care, it would be easier to explain to them, without general misunderstandings.

It was time to come clean and let what had to happen happen happen.

”Yes, I understand it’s hard to believe, but I’ll explain it to you calmly. It all started when I died, then the goddess of purity brought me into this world and...”

”My lady...”

”Not now, Elena. I’m explaining... as I was saying, I was brought, but I was a man...”

”Yes, she doesn’t seem to be listening.”(Eira)

”She fainted, didn’t she?”(Alice).

”...she’s falling down.”(Selene)

”uh!?... what!!?... Astrid!!!... Hey, Astrid, react! Stay with us, don’t go into the light!”

At that moment I realized that indeed, as the Girls said , Astrid had lost consciousness, standing there with her eyes wide open.

She was about to fall, but I managed to catch her in time. I had to act fast and give her first aid, she even seemed to stop breathing for a moment.

She suffered a bigger shock than I thought ....

..

.

”Now you are calmer, breathe softly and let’s talk properly.”

”huuu....haaa~....well explain to me.”

Finally, after I cast the most powerful healing and recovery spells, she came back to us.

I was reverting back to my Chris appearance in case it hadn’t sunk in yet, I didn’t want her to faint again at the sight of two Seraphinas.

I understand it’s shocking, but I was still surprised by her reaction. I didn’t expect her to go into shock like that.

She seemed open to explanations and Definitely, there was definitely need to talk, so as before, I started to explain everything to her: my true story since my reincarnation, my identity and everything else. As always, just omitting the topics of the future.

...

”Haaaahh... I understand a little, certainly, it’s kind of unbelievable, but I think I get it. Still.... haaa... honey, this is too much.... this is bad, very bad..., but wait if you’re Seraphina then.... Humm”

I don’t know what she’s thinking, but right now she attached ”honey”, so it shouldn’t be that bad, not to mention she said she understood.

I wouldn’t call me that again if I couldn’t accept my identity, well maybe I’m overthinking it, but it’s good to be positive.

Not to mention there was something weird going on here, I especially don’t understand what he meant by the second part of what he said.

If I think about it, it seems like the important point was Seraphina being in my harem, rather than the fact that I was Seraphina, now rather than rejecting me like before, she seemed thoughtful of who knows what.

Still I fail to connect the dots. Knowing Astrid, honestly the only thing I can think of, big enough to reject me before to the point of leaving me in a choice, is her daughter.

I know she puts her even above our relationship, but I don’t understand what that has to do with it, so it must be something else I don’t know yet.

”Astrid, tell me the truth, why are you against Seraphina being in the harem? No, more importantly, because you say it’s bad, it bothers you that she’s a woman, that or she’s Seraphina?”

”No, certainly that’s a very shocking thing, no, it’s more than shocking, and more so because you are Seraphina, but the reason I said it was bad is because of my daughter.”

”Wait Astrid, is it really because of your daughter? Or rather, I’m not connecting anything...”

”I’m going to be straight with you too. My daughter is Cordelia Argent .”

”(╯□╰)... Astrid, my dear, I love you very much and you know it, but this is no time for jokes.”

”What joke? My daughter is Cordelia, the girl you usually spend time with. You know, the one with the light purple, platinum hair, the one with the beautiful long eyelashes and silver eyes, the one who sits next to you.”

”....”

”I knew it, Elena, didn’t I tell you those two looked alike?”

”Yes, Miss Alice, you mentioned it and my lady tossed it aside as nonsense.”

”The idiot did it again, he didn’t get enough of us and was planning to go for more, why am I even dating that fool?”

”...for love.”

”Selene, don’t answer me.”

”Ha.... huuu.... haaaa.”

I started hyperventilating. This was something I hadn’t expected. I knew Astrid had a daughter, but I thought she was just a girl between 10 or 13, since whenever she talked about her she gave that impression, not an adult in her late 20s.

As Eira said, I was repeating the same mistake again. Alice had said she thought of this after meeting Astrid, but I thought it was nonsense.

You’d think it would be obvious, since they are both from the Argent ducal house, but that’s not so.

I took the time to explain how complicated that family was. Totally ruling out that possibility.

In fact, I thought Cordelia was an illegitimate child like Ivan of the current duke, since, like the former, he is known for having many children.

In this academy, including Ivan, there were many with that surname and I didn’t relate them at all, or unconsciously I didn’t want to relate them because that would mean that....

’damn, now it’s a reality!!!, really why do such improbable things happen to me...it must be because of Willian, damn you!!!’

But leaving that aside it’s not entirely my fault. Both Astrid and Lily I don’t understand your need to talk about your daughters as if they are smaller than they are.

No, rather it is acceptable of Lily, because of the tender appearances and short stature of Eria and Selene, that you could hardly describe them without misunderstanding, unless they give key facts like age.

That’s what I told myself at the time, but no matter how you look at it, it’s Astrid’s fault, for how little she talked about her daughter, and described her as such, here the wrong one was her.

Not to mention neither I nor my alternate self have seen any interaction beyond student-teacher in my entire two lives and in fact there was never any interaction, other than Cordelia answering questions during class and other normal things.

My alternate self found no connection and I knew both of them very well, unlike Lily, who only I knew.

I didn’t even think of it as a possibility, but that’s not what’s important here. Leaving aside the fact that luckily Cordelia is not in my harem and technically I would not make the same mistake again.

I don’t want Astrid to reject me because of her daughter’s unjustified hatred for me.

Rather, I think this is a good opportunity to clear the air, but first I need to calm down....

”Huuh.... haaa~....”

I thought I was the one with the shocking revelation, but the tables were turned. Now I’m the shocked one.

”What’s wrong, why are you acting like this knowing she’s my daughter, is there a problem?”

”I’m going to be honest with you there are a lot of problems, rather can you tell me why she hates me? The truth is I’ve always wanted to make amends.”

”Hate? My daughter doesn’t hate you.”

”I’m not talking about me, well yes, but my Seraphina self... she clearly hates me and I don’t know what I did to deserve it. you rejected me because you can’t accept your daughter’s enemy, right? But honestly, I don’t know what I did.”

”...Honey, there’s a misunderstanding here. I didn’t reject you because my daughter hated you. The problem is that my daughter is in love with you. You know, with Seraphina.”

”...”

Yes, I think either one of us has gone crazy or she’s just saying crazy things or I’m hearing crazy things that don’t make any sense.
