The Martial Unity

Chapter 3114: Authority of Alpha

While the evolutionaries fought tooth and nail for their place on the continent, the therianthropes had been left in peace by the Panamic Alliance, which had largely given up on chasing them from the continent, for the time being.

Not because they were more powerful than the evolutionaries, but they werenʼt as much of an active threat as the evolutionaries were. In comparison to the evolutionaries who sought to take over the entire continent and exterminate human civilization, the therianthropes merely wanted to gather different kinds of beasts and monsters from the Panama Continent.

”The beasts of this continent are truly exotic!” A woman with cat ears exclaimed with excitement as she studied the beasts and monsters that they had managed to woo.

”I have never seen this manner of being in my entire life!” A man with a furry tail grew amazed as he studied the tissue of the esoteric beasts and monsters under a microscope.

”It is truly remarkable how they have evolved to integrate exotic matter into their biology, this indicates that the exotic matter has most likely been around for a long, long time!” another woman with reptilian scales hissed.

In the past month, they had engaged in their standard beast-wooing tactics, using their unparalleled understanding of fauna to woo and befriend all manner of beasts and monsters on the Panama Continent.

What surprised them was that their tactics were remarkably effective even on the beasts of the Panama Continent.

”This is quite remarkable given how long the Lost Continent has been separated from us,” the cat-woman remarked with enthusiastic expression. ”After all, all records and geological evidence pointed to the fact that the continent disappeared roughly 187,200 years ago during the Great Epoch of Evolution.”

”Not to mention,” the reptilian therianthrope continued. ”The exotic matter would also have been expected to cause an even greater evolutionary divergence across species. And yet, our methods and techniques have still retained effectiveness across the entire species.”

This was quite odd to them as they expected to be dealing with entirely unrecognizable species after nearly two hundred thousand years of evolutionary divergence, along with two different kinds of matter.

Of course, they werenʼt complaining about their success at all.

”At this rate, we will be able to gather many beasts and monsters,” the domineering voice of the Minotaur remarked. ”However, what I find unfortunate and disappointing is the fact that we have yet to detect any truly powerful beast or monster in the Lost Continent dwelling on land.”

His bull eyes sharpened with displeasure. ”Despite possessing extraordinary exotic matter, not a single beast had reached the caliber of our beasts and monsters?”

Of course, he couldnʼt have known that the Martial Sages had hunted down every last quasi-Transcendent beast and monster in the Central Highlands, roughly about thirteen months ago. Not enough time had passed for new quasi-Transcendents to take their place.

Before they could even speculate as to why there werenʼt any beasts and monsters of the caliber they sought, they heard the roar.

They heard it louder than anybody else.

They heard it more clearly than anybody else.

They heard it not just with their ears, but also with their instincts.

”RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

RUMBLE!!!!!!

The world shook.

It shook as the Emperor of the Beast Domain issued a command to all sentient fauna and flora life on the Panama Continent.

It shook as a wild stampede of beasts and monsters emerged from within the esoterified extensions of the Beast Domain.

A wild stampede of frenzied beasts and monsters with bloodshot eyes of feral bloodlust.

”ROOOAAARRR!!!”

”RAAAWWWRRR!!!”

”KRRRIIIEEEKKK!!!”

It wasnʼt just the beasts and monsters in the Beast Domain, it was also the beasts and monsters that they had managed to woo with their immense mastery of beast taming. Not only did a gigantic beast tide of immense numbers charge towards them with the aim to exile or destroy every last one of them, but the ones that had previously come to them willingly also began unleashing mayhem within their base.

”This…!” the cat woman gasped. ”This is the Authority of Alpha!”

The Authority of Alpha was an extraordinary realm of mastery in the Beast Path of the therianthropes.

It was the power to command fauna with oneʼs will.

Only one entity among the therianthropes wielded this power.

Of all the things that they expected in this continent, they didnʼt expect to run into someone with the Authority of Alpha.

The roar of the Emperor of the Beast Domain hadnʼt just affected the beasts and monsters native to Panama; it also affected their own beasts and monsters, overcoming the bond that the therianthropes had achieved with their partner, and causing them to go wild.

”ROOOAAAAAAARRRRR!!!”

The various bulls, big cats, and reptiles evolved monsters that they had brought to the Panama Continent began to go haywire, infected by the Authority of Alpha of the Emperor of the Beast Domain.

That wasnʼt all.

”Rgh…” The Minotaur grasped at his head. ”Itʼs… Itʼs affecting me as well!”

One moment, he was his own sovereign being.

The very next, he felt the urge to follow the command that the King of Beasts had issued.

He felt the urge to exile himself from the Panama Continent.

He felt the urge to commit suicide.

The Beast Path was the path towards the beasts in order to be able to better bond and control them.

Therianthropes like the Minotaur, who were deeper and deeper into the Beast Path and were turning more and more into a beast, were more susceptible to the Authority of Alpha.

Never in their wildest dreams did they expect to run into the Authority on this continent, but now that they had, they knew that they could no longer remain on this continent.

”We need to get out of here!” the Minotaur gritted his teeth. ”We need to get out of here before the beast tides reach us!”

This way, he wouldnʼt need to resist the command, and he would also be able to do the sensible option and retreat from the Panama Continent. And just like that, the theriathropes rapidly bonded with their beasts, abandoning their makeshift base as they traveled straight for the Kiriket Continent.
