The Martial Unity

Chapter 3112: Mounting Pressure

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

Amare gritted her teeth as she unleashed the sum totality of her full power against Anthea in a furious battle. Her palms tunneled through the very fabric of reality with a tremendously intense momentum and speed that would have crushed nearly any other combatant.

And yet, against the supreme commander of the Evolutionary Army, she felt entirely inadequate as her attacks passed right through him. He adaptively evolved to her, as always, by severing his connection with the Higgs Field, allowing his body to phase through her attacks smoothly while simultaneously launching his own.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!!

”Rgh…!” she grimaced as an astronomically heavy attack struck her with great speed and force.

Anthea had intensified the interactions of some parts of his body with the Higgs Field, allowing him to strike her with much greater mass in his attack at the moment of impact, causing each attack to feel like a meteorite impact.

The sheer force of the impact caused her arm to crack, only to heal in the blink of an eye thanks to the healing fruit.

Antheaʼs ephemeral transparent figure gazed at her with a knowing expression. ”Without that exotic resource, you would not be able to survive a battle with me.”

She sharpened her eyes fiercely at those words.

While his words were alien, he had managed to convey their meaning to her nonetheless.

”And for what?” his tone calm and composed. ”You cannot defeat me. You can barely stall me just in time for your sieges to inflict enough harm on our expansion to slow it down temporarily. And yet…”

He directed a knowing gaze at her. ”…it is only doomed to delay the inevitable.”

He towered above her in the air.

”There is no one on this continent who can challenge me in battle.”

His tone was unyielding.

She sharpened her gaze.

”Youʼre wrong.”

A small smile appeared on her face.

”When he returns, it will be over for all of you.”

Antheaʼs eyes sharpened ever so slightly.

”ʼHe?ʼ”

”RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

RUMBLE!!!

The world shook as a horrifying roar permeated throughout the entire continent.

Amareʼs eyes widened with shock while the evolutionary simply frowned.

He froze as a tremendous stampede of beasts and monsters shook the world with the sheer force of their frenzied charges.

They converged upon the evolutionary base with astronomical numbers.

RUMBLE!!!!!

Anthea rose to the air with a stunned expression as he directed a sweeping gaze across the horizon. The bright light of the overhead Sun illuminated a wide sea of beasts and monsters that swept across land, drowning the bedrock in the sheer density of their tides.

”ROOOAAARRR!!!”

”RAAAWWWRRR!!!”

”KRRRIIIEEEKKK!!!”

RUMBLE!!!!!

The world shook as the beast tides swept across the continent again.

”What is this…?” Antheaʼs ethereal voice contained just the mildest hint of uncertainty. ”Just what is happening...?”

His instincts tingled.

They tingled with danger.

Something had happened.

Something beyond even his fathoming.

Amare, on the other hand, gaped with a bewildered yet delighted expression.

She recognized Ruiʼs voice in the monstrous roar that he had unleashed.

Despite the fact that it was warped by a Martial Art technique, she recognized him instantly.

It was then that realization dawned on her.

The beasts and monsters were not to attack human civilization as they had in the past.

No.

The Beast Excursion had come to reinforce human civilization and attack its invaders under his command.

”Rui!” she squealed as her severity gave way to ecstasy and delight.

Her amber eyes brimmed with longing and love even as the Beast Excursion charged towards the base of the Evolutionary Army in a feral frenzy.

The Martial Artists of human civilization, as well as the siege task force that operated the distant siege weapons they each recognized the incoming wave of beasts and monsters with a horrified expression.

”THE BEAST INCURSION IS BACK!”

”TAKE COVER!”

”GET AWAY!”

They gritted their teeth, bracing themselves for a calamitous impact with the beast tides.

And yet, not a single one of them was so much as even touched by the Beast Excursion.

WHOOSH!

Their eyes widened with shock as the beast tide split to avoid the human siege task force and entirely ignored the Martial Artists on the ground or in the air, much to the shock of the humans and the Martial Artists.

Instead, they focused on one and only one target.

The Evolutionary Base.

The Martial Artists were baffled.

”What…” Sage Knight Vermillion barely managed to squeeze out with a stunned expression. ”What is happening?”

”Amitabha!” A peak Bodhisattva gasped. ”Nature has chosen to lock hands with human civilization to protect the continent!”

”Hahaha…!” the Nestforger laughed with jubilation. ”Theyʼre on our side now!”

He turned around, facing the equally stunned evolutionaries with a grin on his face.

”ATTACK! KEEP THE EVOLUTIONARIES BUSY!”

”ATTACK!”

”FIRE!”

The Martial Artists and the siege task force were quick to adapt to the shocking new circumstances, making the best of the new variable to continue pressuring the evolutionaries so that they wouldnʼt be able to defend their base camp from the new threat.

BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!!

RUMBLE!!!!!

The intensity of the battle between the Martial Artists and the evolutionaries reached much greater heights as both sides fought desperately to overcome their opposition. The siege task force understood the sheer miracle of an opportunity that they had at their hands, firing away powerful sieges upon the evolutionary base as if their lives depended on it.

Anthea surged forth with great speed, threatening to wipe out each and every beast and monster that charged towards the base.

And yet, he couldnʼt.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

A tremendous blow tunneled through the very fabric of space and time, blasting him away with great force.

His eyes sharpened with the first hint of severity Amare had ever seen in his eyes.

That was a good sign.

”You are going nowhere.”

Her tone was fierce.

Unyielding.

”ROOOAAARRR!!!”

”RAAAWWWRRR!!!”

”KRRRIIIEEEKKK!!!”

RUMBLE!!!!!

The Beast Excursion charged into the Evolutionary Base entirely unimpeded as the Martial Sages fought with all their might to ensure that not a single evolutionary escaped.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

A maelstrom of collisions into the energy barrier sent tremendous explosions as the energy shield flickered with strain from the Beast Excursion and the sieges, before eventually succumbing to all the pressure.

The beasts and monsters charged forth, laying waste to everything in sight.
