The Martial Unity

2922  Peerlessly Powerful

One moment, Rui simply gazed at the abyssfeeder with pitch-black eyes of darkness.

WHOOSH

The very next moment, he arrived before it with a blindingly fast charge. His body glinted with darkness as he deployed the Gu poison to his surging strike, threatening to kill the monster where it stood.

And yet, he couldnʼt so much as reach the creature.

RUMBLE!!!

Ruiʼs eyes widened as his attack slowed down, coming to a halt as the very fabric of space around the quasi-Transcendent monster bent. The physicality of the abyssfeederʼs body shifted as it bent the very fabric of space with a Transcendent-grade esoteric substance with special properties to defend itself.

And then, it attacked.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Rui deployed a powerful defensive technique as a tremendously devastating shockwave across the very fabric of space crashed into him, flinging him away. RUMBLE!!!

The world shook.

It shook as the abyssfeeder unleashed its power.

It exerted its power to change, altering in not just its physical nature but also its very structure. Its very body shifted as the creature adopted appendages that resembled cannons built for long-range combat. It unleashed an onslaught of tremendously powerful attacks comprised of heaven, earth, light, and shockwaves across the very fabric of space. The sheer intensity of the energy that it unleashed bore heavy on the world, creating an extraordinary gravity well that tugged upon all of heaven and earth.

And yet, its attacks didnʼt so much as harm a hair on Ruiʼs body.

They didnʼt so much as touch him.

WHOOSH

With the gentlest of steps, he evaded the incoming long-range attacks from his opponent. WHOOSH

The slightest tilt allowed him to evade a destructive beam of light.

WHOOSH

The mildest of drift allowed him to evade an extremely intense pulse through the very fabric of space.

Even as the abyssfeeder unleashed an extraordinary onslaught of attacks one after another, Rui evaded attacks one after another with the most tranquil of expressions.

His pitch-black eyes were serene.

His movements were graceful.

His peaceful gaze was fixed upon the abyssfeeder.

Not of the present, no.

But of the future.

His vision, his instincts, his intuitions.

They were all fixed on the future as a slew of prophecies about the future unfolded within his mind. He beheld what was to be.

And he could change it to his desire.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH

He danced about as he effortlessly evaded the abyssfeeder with casual ease as the prophecies of the future bloomed in all their glory before his very eyes, overlapping the future with the present.

He had mastered the Eye of Prophecy over the past ten years, giving him an unfathomable level of insight into the future with the insights of his subconscious mind. Ten long years had gone into coaxing his nascent underdeveloped subconscious precognitive intuition. A mental muscle that he seldom exercised due to how powerful his capacity for thought was.

And now, not only was it as powerful as his conscious mind, but together, they allowed him to peer deeper into the future than had ever been possible for him before.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH…!!!

Even as the world around them was ravaged by the astronomical onslaught of the abyssfeeder, even as millions, billions, and even trillions of extraordinary attacks surged from the creature, none of them so much as touched Rui.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

The extraordinary tsunami of attacks emerging from the abyssfeeder ravaged the entirety of the world around them, eroding away the very fabric of heaven and earth, and the sheer gravity from its unleashed energy caused the entirety of the world to converge upon it.

”Rgh…!” Kane gritted his teeth as he evacuated from the vicinity of the battlefield with the sheer floor of destruction emerging from the abyssfeeder.

The sheer onslaught was so intense that not even the countless Martial Sages and quasi-Transcendents could bear to remain in the presence of such extraordinary power. The abyssfeeder was so absurdly powerful that it could potentially wipe all of them out, forcing them to evacuate from the entire region.

And yet, despite all its power, the creature failed to so much as lay a finger on Rui.

Despite facing raw power that was more than an order of magnitude above him, he weaved about the endless attacks, slowly closing the distance between himself and the abyssfeeder. And yet, the creature was not done.

No.

It was just getting started.

RUMBLE!!!

The world shook as it altered the very structure of its body, creating a thin layer of a myriad of micro long-range esoteric artillery. Pixels of destruction that capable of unleashing wide-scale destruction that could not be avoided within range.

One moment, it attacked Rui with potent discrete projectiles, and the very next, it switched to waves, unleashing a pure wave of a destructive shockwave comprised of both the air and space.

An attack that may very well have crushed any other Martial Sage.

Not Rui.

In the face of destruction, a single whisper escaped him. ”Anti-Spiral.”

What was an attack of pure force, pressure, and destruction turned into a warm, nourishing brush of invigoration as Rui absorbed the power, deploying the principles of Flux Earther enhanced with the high principle of quantum elasticity, a field of quantum physics that explored how materials and substances deformed under stress. By applying extraordinarily powerful electromagnetic fields to his body with nanoscale precision, he could alter the behavior of the particles comprising his body and make them extraordinarily elastic.

It allowed him to harmlessly absorb the energy of the destructive collision in the form of kinetic energy rather than damage and spiral it around his body with principles borrowed from rotational dynamics.

It allowed him to use that same power against his opponent on his own.

”Electromagnetic Singularity.”

An evolved version of Sonic Singularity that used gamma radiation instead of sound to fry his opponents with an omnidirectional convergence of electromagnetic radiation, empowered by Ruiʼs own energy as well as the absorbed power of the abyssfeeder.

A peerlessly powerful attack.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
