The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 635: Chapter 635: Press Conference

The press conference is scheduled for the day after tomorrow. Lin Tian initially thought that the press conference would just involve inviting some journalists to attend.

But he didn’t realize it would be so troublesome. The preparations were very tedious, starting with the venue selection. Lin Tian decided to set the location in the hall where the medical summit was held a few days ago. The facilities were very complete.

Lin Tian mentioned this to Sun Chuanrong, who agreed without even thinking about it and undertook all the work.

As for the expenses, of course, Lin Tian would cover them personally. Sun Chuanrong initially intended for the press conference to carry the name of the ’Kanyue City Medical Association,’ in which case all the expenses would be borne by the association.

However, Lin Tian refused because if he did so, he would become a member of the association, which might bring some future troubles.

Covering the expenses himself, however, was different; it was just a transaction of paying money to get things done, without any further obligations.

Sun Chuanrong knew his intentions couldn’t sway Lin Tian, so he accepted the money and began preparations.

As for Lin Tian, he decided to take a back seat, planning to just appear on the day of the press conference.

Actually, Lin Tian didn’t have much to prepare for, but he still consulted his teacher, Zhao Xuefeng, considering he had held similar press conferences before and was quite experienced.

Zhao Xuefeng’s advice was also simple: speak your mind. If journalists ask you tricky questions, just steer the conversation to another topic.

Soon, the two days passed quickly, and the press conference was held as scheduled.

Lin Tian arrived at the hall early in the morning, accompanied by Zhao Xuefeng and Zhao Qingtang. They would sit on either side of Lin Tian during the event to offer help if needed.

As the time reached half past eight in the morning, Lin Tian sat on stage with Zhao Xuefeng and Zhao Qingtang.

The journalists’ seating below was arranged in a ’hui’ shape, surrounding the podium, making it convenient for questions and photographs.

The journalists present were all there by invitation and sat in their designated seats. Normally, some standing room without seats would be reserved in the back.

But now, the hall was so packed that there wasn’t even a single empty seat, and it seemed it would take ages just to get out.

The sound of ’click, click’ for photo-taking was incessant. Besides Lin Tian, Zhao Xuefeng and Zhao Qingtang were also subjects of the interviews. As one of the ten speakers at the summit, it was usually very difficult to interview them, making today a rare opportunity.

There was murmuring below, and Lin Tian could even hear some people quietly discussing him.

The press conference began, and following the procedure, Lin Tian needed to first deliver an opening speech.

Lin Tian placed his hands flat on the table and frowned as he looked at the speech draft in front of him. What was it even saying? It was so dry and dull.

Fortunately, he discarded the speech draft and started speaking into the microphone in front of him: ”I’m very pleased that everyone accepted the invitation to be here at the press conference...”

After introducing Zhao Xuefeng and Zhao Qingtang, Lin Tian began to talk about himself.

”Actually, I don’t have much to say. You’ve taken time out of your busy schedules to be here just to ask some questions about traditional medicine. Let me introduce myself first. I’m quite an ordinary person, I’ve just read a few more medical books than others.”

”However, I firmly believe that traditional medicine is the best. As for those who proclaim that traditional medicine is a fraud, I can only say they are frogs at the bottom of a well, bumpkins who haven’t seen the world! What is traditional medicine? It’s a national treasure, and the foundation of the people!”

”I admit, now there are many frauds in traditional medicine, but Mr. Zhang has promised to completely eradicate these medical scammers. Restore the bright and clear skies for traditional medicine! Again, I warn those scammers, hurry up and close your clinics, and go back to your hometowns to hide. Otherwise, if you’re caught harming people, it might not be just a simple fine.”

”All right, my speech ends here. You can start asking questions.”

The journalists were thrilled because they now had something to write about.

This speech was quite special, wasn’t it? So bold!

”Mr. Lin Tian, you’ve become an internet sensation these days. We interviewed one of your former teachers and learned that you hadn’t been involved in traditional medicine before, nor were you particularly outstanding. Why is your medical skill so exceptional now?” A short-haired female journalist asked.

This question immediately drew widespread attention, as it was something they hadn’t understood.

How could someone so ordinary in the past become so exceptional?

Would such an exceptional person be willing to remain ordinary?

This question was rather sharp for Lin Tian, as the affair regarding the ’Tyrant Emperor’s Record’ must absolutely not be known by others.

”Medical skill accumulates over years of practice. You’ve asked my teacher, but when have you inquired about my efforts? Traditional medicine has no quick way to mastery, only years of accumulation. I don’t dare claim to have read extensively, but I have certainly read many medical books, and this point is proven by my medical skills.”

The murmuring below grew louder. Lin Tian’s words might contain some discrepancies, but as he said, if it weren’t for years of accumulating knowledge, how could he possess such a high level of medical skill?

”Mr. Lin Tian, what books have you read over the years?”

The medical knowledge in Lin Tian’s mind was enormous, including many books that others had never heard of. Just like the ’Four Saints Life Extension Scripture,’ which had recently been sold at a sky-high price, though for Lin Tian it wasn’t particularly precious.

”’Compendium of Materia Medica,’ ’Self-Diagnosis of Hundred Diseases,’ ’Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor,’ and the like, many of which can be bought on the market. There are some rare editions as well; there are many books, and I believe many people have read them. However, not many can completely understand them, let alone transcend the knowledge within. But just because others can’t, doesn’t mean I can’t.”

Then, Zhao Xuefeng added, ”I can vouch for Lin Tian on this point. His medical skills are indeed brilliant, often leaving me feeling inferior.”

Being reputed as the number one in traditional medicine, Zhao Xuefeng’s words naturally carried great authority. So most people believed him.

What else could they do if they didn’t believe? Could anyone prove his words false?

”Mr. Lin Tian, could you briefly describe the process of treating coma patients? Surely there are many patient’s families outside waiting for your answer. Your following remarks might possibly save many broken families.”

Lin Tian paused for a moment, then said, ”Do those present know what a coma patient actually is? In fact, the condition of a coma patient can vary widely. The causes are very complex, with the source rooted in the human brain. The brain is the most complex structure of the human body, and so far, no one, whether ancient or modern, has dared to claim they fully understand the human brain.”
