The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 615: Chapter 615: The Patient Arranged by Liu Mang

Early the next morning, it was another sunny day.

It was a big day in Kanyue City because many famous doctors were offering free medical consultations today.

So, people from all over the country, even from abroad, flocked to Kanyue City, hoping a famous doctor could see them.

After all, this tradition has continued for many years and is a well-known event nationwide. It’s also the best time to see a doctor.

Everyone knows that today, aside from being free, more importantly, they are all famous doctors!

The free consultation takes place at the central hospital. If you want a famous doctor to see you, you have to line up to get a number.

Of course, this numbering system is based on real names to prevent scalpers from reselling.

So, early in the morning, there was a large crowd in the hospital scrambling for numbers, and it was truly overcrowded.

The free consultation starts at eight in the morning. The Western doctors are naturally in their respective departments, while the ancient medicine is next door at the Ancient Hospital.

The former doctors have all become assistant nurses, and even so, the manpower is still insufficient.

Today there are simply too many people!

In previous free consultations, everyone worked independently, with no contact with each other. However, this year, it’s lively, with a competition added.

Of course, the competition has referees. One person is sent from Zhao Xuefeng’s side and one from Liu Mang’s side to tally the numbers.

Liu Mang was already confident in winning the competition. He has been in the medical field for so long, and naturally, he has some connections in the hospital.

Yesterday, he got some particularly difficult-to-diagnose patients to register for Lin Tian’s consultation. Although this was somewhat troublesome for him, he was able to do it.

After hearing Lin Tian’s remarks yesterday, Liu Mang thought of Lin Tian as a very tough opponent and decided it was better to nip him in the bud.

The free consultation began, and Lin Tian was only equipped with a wooden table, a box of acupuncture needles, a TDP lamp (a heating lamp), and a prescription book.

As for getting medicine, it had to be done in the lobby. If clinical acupuncture was needed, there was a small room available for that too.

Very simple, but perhaps these are the standard for ancient medicine?

Compared with the various medical instruments of Western medicine, they really seemed to stand no chance.

The first to enter the room wasn’t a patient, but... Liu Mang, and his son, Liu Chan.

Seeing this father-son pair, Lin Tian’s mood soured, feeling that even the air they exhaled was foul.

He quickly put on a mask to distance himself from them somewhat.

”Yo, Dr. Lin, you really look like an expert. I wonder if you’ll be able to cure even one today.” Liu Chan chuckled at Lin Tian.

Faced with Liu Chan’s ridicule, Lin Tian wasn’t bothered—it was only a dog barking.

”Yo, isn’t this Mr. Liu? Last time, didn’t two dogs scare you so much your legs went weak? Now looking so spirited, what? The police didn’t detain you?”

Upon hearing this, Liu Chan’s expression turned sullen.

The video Qingcheng shot at the courtyard last time was very clear and even captured his face.

The most irritating part was that the video ended up in the hands of the police. If it weren’t for his dad spending money and hiring a lawyer to plead for his innocence, he would still be locked up right now.

”Hmph, this is none of your business. You’re the one who should be worried now, just like a clay idol crossing a river—unable to protect yourself. Better think about your own situation.”

”Is your egg okay? Wasn’t that kick last time heavy enough?” Lin Tian said impatiently.

”You!” Liu Chan pointed angrily at Lin Tian. To be honest... his egg was really not okay, one was even crushed...

Liu Chan regretted not bringing Li Li today to taunt this bastard and ease his frustration.

At that moment, the door behind Lin Tian was pushed open, and Liou Qingcheng walked out from behind. When he saw Liu Chan, he even waved a greeting, ”Liu Chan, hello. How’s your egg?”

”...”

The first patient entered. It was an elder well past seventy, supported by his daughter step by step into the chair in front of Lin Tian’s table.

The elderly man’s condition was very poor. His hands were twisted like chicken claws, his head tilted, and he occasionally drooled.

His complexion was also bad; the description ”emaciated and haggard” wasn’t an exaggeration as there was hardly any flesh on him.

”Doctor... please take a look at my dad, his condition is...”

His daughter, a woman in her fifties, looked at her father’s state and felt so uncomfortable that tears constantly fell from the corners of her eyes.

”How long has the elder been like this?” Lin Tian asked.

”It’s been over twenty years. We didn’t pay much attention at first, but it got worse. We’ve been seeing Western doctors for over twenty years, but there’s nothing they can do. So we decided to come to ancient medicine.” The woman replied truthfully.

Lin Tian nodded. He knew this disease, called Parkinson’s, is a geriatric disease. The initial symptoms are hand tremors, becoming increasingly severe. If the elders at home show such symptoms, they should be seen in a hospital as soon as possible.

With current medical capabilities, this disease can’t be cured, only managed.

Of course, the condition of this elderly man, as seen here, is already quite severe.

Clearly, this was deliberately arranged by Liu Mang, and it’s likely that there will be more patients like this later.

Liu Mang stood by with a grin, observing Lin Tian, ”Dr. Lin, can you treat this disease? If not, let’s move on to the next one, don’t waste time. Maybe you’ll get lucky today and actually cure one.”

Liu Mang and Liu Chan were there to laugh at Lin Tian, also to probe him. Everyone knew this. Seeing Lin Tian’s difficult expression, how could he not be happy?

”Hey! Look at you wearing a white coat, as a doctor, how can you take pleasure from a patient’s condition? Do you even deserve to be a doctor? Do you still have any medical ethics?”

The woman pointed aggressively at Liu Mang’s nose and cursed. Seeing her father like this and being mocked, how could she not be angry? She wished she could fiercely bite Waihai City.

Liu Mang was speechless. He couldn’t argue back. After all, this was a hospital. If the patient caused a ruckus, he would definitely be the one at a loss.

Lin Tian ignored Liu Mang and instead looked at the elder’s face.

In ancient medicine, the first of the four diagnoses is ”observation.” This elder is very thin, but his face is severely swollen, and his complexion is very sallow.

”Does the elder eat little and urinate infrequently?” Lin Tian asked.

”Yes.” The woman replied earnestly.

”I’ll prescribe a remedy. When you get home, brew it half by simmering and half by boiling, drink it once in the afternoon and evening.”

As he spoke, Lin Tian picked up a pen and effortlessly wrote a line of beautiful and clear cursive on the paper, making it flamboyant yet legible for everyone to read.

”This prescription is a course of eight treatments. After finishing it, call the number below, and I’ll give the elder acupuncture. Though it can’t cure, at least he can be self-sufficient in life.”
