The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Legal Sanctions

Lin Tian suddenly noticed his eyes were slightly moist; the scene was too poignant!

Imagine if you were a child beaten every day, starved, and forced to beg on the streets—what kind of state of mind would that be?

But Ah Bao and his kind were even more vicious, torturing a child into disability, beating them violently at the slightest whim, or crippling them in anger.

Such acts are beyond what a human can do; only beasts would commit such deeds!

In the end, Lin Tian decided to act; he didn’t intend to really kill Bao, but to give him a lesson he would never forget!

To let him know how useless a person is once they’ve lost their limbs, and perhaps this fate is the greatest torture for such people!

”No!” Bao shouted!

With his sole remaining hand, he frantically scraped at the ground, crawling away. He clearly saw the murderous intent in Lin Tian’s eyes; the courage he previously held had completely vanished.

Now replaced by sheer panic: ”You can’t kill me; if you kill me, you’ll go to prison.”

”Don’t kill me, please!”

Even though blood flowed like water from his body, Bao did not stop moving until his back pressed against a wall, still struggling.

Bao felt he was going insane. Who was he? The most capable underling of the smiling tiger Du Dahai. When he went out, who wouldn’t refer to him as Brother Bao in a respectful manner? Who dared treat him this way?

But today, everything has been utterly reversed; he, who used to enjoy all the glory, never expected to be reduced to a stray dog today!

Begging for mercy!

Afraid!

He yelled madly, hoping to make this young man stop, fearing the knife in his hand landing on him!

Bao was on the brink of collapse; this feeling of brushing against death was too stimulating, like being thrown from a high mountain with only a thin red thread tying you. That kind of thrill made him want to scream and shout!

Even his pants pocket was soaked in fear.

Around him, Bao’s underlings remained silent; their motto was survival over comradeship. Bao was their boss, but that didn’t mean they had to die for him!

At this moment, they only hoped that this devil, after killing Bao, would neutralize his anger so they could escape this calamity!

”Swish!” The machete, reflecting in the sunlight, cast a silver glint in the eyes of those around, making them feel dazzled. Instinctively, they wanted to close their eyes but dared not, fearing Lin Tian’s machete wouldn’t strike Bao, but them instead!

”Stop!” Just as Lin Tian raised his hand to strike, a shout suddenly halted him.

”What?” Lin Tian turned his head toward the voice, seeing a limbless teenager covered with blood staring at him with tears.

”Don’t kill!” The amputee’s voice trembled.

”Why? They’ve harmed you so badly?” Lin Tian didn’t understand why he was being stopped.

”Killing is illegal. If you kill him, you’ll go to jail; your life will be ruined!” The amputee’s eyes flashed with resolve: ”Give me the knife; my life is already finished, let me do this!”

”...” Lin Tian didn’t know what to say.

Be kind, be good to others, and people will be good to you.

Although this time Lin Tian acted to save the little boy, he didn’t anticipate an even more shocking scene.

He inadvertently saved the amputee.

However, at the crucial moment, the amputee stopped him and prevented further mistakes.

Indeed, following Bao, such societal scum, ruining one’s life is not worth it.

Absolutely not worth it!

The anger inside gradually dissipated, and the knife in Lin Tian’s hand fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

”I’ll do it; I’ll kill him!” The amputee forcefully crawled forward, heading toward the cold-glinting machete.

”Don’t kill him!” Lin Tian bent down and lifted the amputee.

”Your life, though destroyed by them, can now start anew. People like them aren’t worth ruining our lives over!” Lin Tian said in a low voice.

”Are we just going to let them go?” The amputee shook his head in discontent.

”Their wrongdoings will be handed over to the police; naturally, the law will punish them. What you need to do is tell the police all your experiences!” Lin Tian took out his phone and dialed the police.

The amputee looked dazed, finally nodded resolutely.

”If you kill him, it’s actually a relief for him. For their crimes, they should be imprisoned for at least ten years so they can also experience the feeling of being confined!”

”I understand!” The amputee nodded.

The courtyard suddenly quieted down; although Bao escaped death, he couldn’t escape punishment. When the police arrived, he would surely suffer.

”Brother, I have a million on my card; can you let me go?” Bao, having listened to Lin Tian and the amputee’s dialogue, said with difficulty.

Bao knew the crimes he committed; if sentenced legally, he’d be looking at at least ten years in prison.

”Brother, I have a hundred thousand; can you let me go?”

”I have two hundred thousand on my card; it’s all yours, let me go!”

”I have five hundred thousand on my card; it’s all yours, all yours!”

The four men in the courtyard all threw out monetary temptations, hoping Lin Tian would let them off.

”Look at you all, having money!” Lin Tian scoffed. He originally wanted to refuse, but a glance at the children and the amputee in the yard moved his heart.

Movement within his heart, Lin Tian said to the four men: ”Why didn’t you say earlier? Why did we have to go through all this hassle?”

Seeing Lin Tian say this, Bao forced a smile: ”Haha, brother, if you had said you wanted money earlier, we wouldn’t have gotten into this mess!”

”Exactly, if you had just asked for money early on, we wouldn’t have had to suffer like this!”

”If you need money, just say so; we will give it to you!”

Bao’s underlings were all laughing too.

Everyone knows that trading money for not going to jail is a choice made out of fear of death.

Even if you have money, you can’t spend it in jail. But as long as you’re out, you can earn more even if you’re broke!

”Big brother!” The amputee was full of anger in response to Lin Tian’s sudden change.

The children were equally puzzled, not understanding why Lin Tian would suddenly act this way.

”Stop the nonsense. Give me your card and the bank PIN!” Lin Tian stretched out his hand demanding them.

”Here!” Bao, using his uninjured hand, vigorously pulled out his wallet and handed Lin Tian a bank card.

”The password is five 8s and a 7!” Bao also provided the bank PIN.

”Brother, here’s the card; the password is...”

”The password is...”

Soon, four bank cards and their passwords were all in Lin Tian’s hands.

Seeing that all the money was given, Bao smiled: ”Can we leave now? Or else the police will arrive soon!”

”Yeah, let us go first!”

”Brother, if the money isn’t enough, we’ll give you more later; just let us leave now!”

Including Bao, they all begged, knowing everyone had seen Lin Tian call the police just moments ago.
