The Golem Mage

Chapter 393 393: Message From The Dean.

Five days flew by quickly after Alec defeated the mages of the Royal Mage Academy.

The fact that they were all defeated by one Mage and his summons was a disgrace to them, especially as the students from the War God Mage Academy didnʼt hesitate to rub salt in the wounds and abuse them every chance they got as pay back for what they had been doing for the past few days too.

This led the Royal Mage Academy exchange students to request a speedy withdrawal back to the capital city from Bolton, as they felt there was nothing more to the exchange again as they couldnʼt even defeat Alec talk less of even doing the main mission that was killing him.

Although Bolton was reluctant to leave, he knew that the mages had given up on fighting against Alec.

The absence of the only Mage who could boost their morale, Iver Dragonmir, who was still in a deep recuperating sleep, further compounded the situation.

All these factors combined prompted their departure from the academy on the third day, much to the delight and cheers of the new generation mages of the War God Mage Academy.

Meanwhile, Kelvin shouted at the top of his voice,

”I said Iʼm okay, Iʼm full!” as Agnes, pampered him, normally, he wouldnʼt have had a problem with that, but his current circumstances seemed to have amplified his feelings.

As the fact that she had been forcing him to eat the food she made in order for him to recover is why he is really shouting at the moment.

Knight watched and laughed, while Arthur, who was actually the mischievous one, just sat in a corner brooding as he stared into the lake.

Brandon wanted to go close to him, but remembering how their last conversation had gone before he was beaten by the royal mage students, made Brandon hesitate to talk to him.

Just as he was contemplating, Alec walked to Arthurʼs side and took a seat.

”What is it?” Alec asked as he turned to look at one of the few mages he actually considers a brother.

”Iʼm cool, just a little tired, thatʼs all,” Arthur replied.

Alec looked at the guy who normally cheers up everybody being down and he could not help wanting to help cheer him up back in return, but nothing seemed to be working at the moment.

”Hi, everyone, I have brought news from the Dean,” a voice spread across the peak, as the gang all realized that someone must be shouting at the entrance of their masterʼs peak.

They all quickly moved towards that area and met the mage who had been sent to Deliver the news, and realizing it was one of the guard mages of the Deanʼs hall.

”The Dean has instructed all newly enrolled mages in their first year to gather before the front of the Deanʼs hall immediately as he has important information to convey,” the Guard Mage announced before departing towards other peak mountains.

”What do you think the Dean wants to discuss, and why is it only for us first-year students?” Knight inquired no one in particular , but still awaiting a collective response.

While Alec remained lost in thought, Agnes appeared more preoccupied with their absent master, who hadnʼt left his castle since returning from the abyss.

”Well, we wonʼt find out if we donʼt go there now, will we?” Arthur remarked as he began descending the peak, prompting Agnes to look at his departing figure and sigh.

Since his return, Arthur had been plagued by guilt over what happened to Kelvin.

Unable to express his emotions effectively, he shouldered the blame and punished himself for perceived weakness in failing to protect Kelvin, who they had gone on his request.

Despite reassurances from his companions, Arthur continued to feel burdened by the events.

Nonetheless, he found solace in Alecʼs success in defeating the student from the Royal Mage Academy.

He found it easier to accept since it had been his own clansmen who defeated them to settle the grudge rather than it be another formidable mage from the War God Mage Academy.

As Arthur and the rest of the gang neared the location designated by the Dean, they arrived at the front yard of the Deanʼs residence, a spacious and meticulously maintained area where students were gathering in anticipation of the Deanʼs arrival.

Alec and the others were surprised to find that Pale and his group had already arrived.

Furthermore, Lucas Blade stood to the side, his eyes closed as his body emitted his Tier 4 aura, prompting the gang to approach him with intentions of congratulating him for being the first among the first-year students to ascend to the Mid Ranks.

Walking along the well-maintained pathway leading to the entrance, lined with vibrant flowers and softly glowing lanterns, they found themselves enveloped in a serene and inviting atmosphere.

Other mages chatted eagerly among themselves as they awaited the Dean, their footsteps echoing on the stone pathway.

The gentle rustling of leaves in the slight breeze added to the quiet murmurs of anticipation.

Just before Alec and his group came within a certain range, Lucasʼ eyes shot open, as though he had sensed someone nearing him.

Upon realizing it was Alec and the gang, Lucas smiled slightly, closing the distance to give Arthur, who was at the forefront, a tight bear hug.

Having heard of the recent events, Lucas regretted being in seclusion and not coming out sooner, if not for his absence, he would have certainly sought out and confronted the mages from the Royal Academy also due to his fighting nature, he was not like Pale.

After feeling bonded with Arthur, Lucas engaged in a few exchanges of pleasantries with the group before they continued to wait together.

Alecʼs attention was drawn to Beatrice, whose cold beauty and captivated his heart, leaving him mesmerized by her icy demeanor, as her summoned Puppet stood behind her.

Despite his efforts, Alec couldnʼt rationalize his feelings towards her.

ʼRelax, youʼre just inhabiting a fifteen-year-old body now ʼ Alec tried to reassure himself.

As he began to walk towards Beatrice, when the new Dean finally emerged onto the front porch, silencing the crowd, all eyes turned to the Dean, who exuded an air of authority and wisdom.

With a warm smile, the Dean scanned the gathering of mages before his gaze settled on Alec.

Despite Alecʼs calm demeanor, the Dean sensed the underlying presence of someone who had been involved in significant bloodshed.

The killing intent he had displayed in the Arena was unmistakable.

But he was relieved to know that Alec would uphold the honour of the War God Mage Academy, as the academy was pleased to have a young mage willing to engage with other prestigious academies.

They could take pride in having a talented individual among their younger generation, unlike the previous generation, where it took time for their talents to emerge and develop only after countless Abyss bloodshed and death witnessing.
