The Golem Mage

Chapter 352: Alec’s progress 1

”Hmmm,”

Titan made a small noise as he received a transmitted message from one of his ice golem summons.

He glanced over at Alec, who was still screaming in pain after choosing to upgrade his endurance.

Alec’s body was displaying a red colour, particularly on his chest.

But Titan held onto the news he had just received, patiently waiting until Alec finished enduring the pain and collapsed on the ground, defeated.

”Master, it seems both Butcher and Saint have gotten themselves into a bit of trouble!” Titan informed.

”How big of a trouble? Is it a horde?” Alec inquired, furrowing his brows.

”No, Master. It’s just a Tier 4 demonic beast,” Titan responded, and Alec’s annoyance was evident as he knew that those two won’t provoke a Tier 4 demonic beast.

”How is that even possible?, How can a Tier 4 beast manage to stay in the lower region without being hunted down?, The Beasts of the middle region would never tolerate a Tier 4 demonic beast lingering in the lower region, disrupting the jungle’s rules,” Alec expressed his frustration.

”Well, Master, here’s what I know, It appears that this beast has the ability to regress back to its Tier 3 realm from that way hiding in the low regions perfectly, But when it senses danger, it can enter its true realm and unleash its full power.”

” Such a creature seems to be too independent to align with anyone, so it bides its time in the middle region, gathering enough strength before making its way to the middle region, where it won’t be forced to join any group,” Titan offered his observation, from what he saw through the summons eyes.

”Hmm, interesting. And what about Legion? Any news on him?” Alec inquired further.

”No, boss. I would never send any of my minions against Legion, With his extensive range detection, he would easily spot any minion following him. Besides, Legion despises the idea of someone protecting him,” Titan explained.

”While my minions have all upgraded to peak Tier 2, they still wouldn’t stand a chance against Legion, who is a captain-ranked golem even if they are in the same realm, However, you need not worry about him.”

” He seems to be on the brink of reaching the Tier 3 golem realm, fully capable of taking care of himself. Plus, he has Magnito by his side, It would be nearly impossible for anyone to cause him any significant trouble,”

Titan reassured, causing Alec to chuckle at the thought of both Legion and Titan becoming Tier 3 golems.

He wouldn’t have to fear Tier 4 mages anymore, as he, Titan, and Legion could easily team up against them and give them a beating they would never forget.

”What about Hive Queen and Oni?” Alec inquired, wanting a complete update on his golems.

”Hahaha... Master, those are the ones you should be least worried about, They are naturally sadistic, with one of them willing to blow up her own children summons when things don’t go her way, and the other summoning demons to carry out his bidding.”

” It would be extremely difficult for anyone to pose a threat to them, From what my minions have observed, they are about to encounter a small Orc squad, I can only hope that the Orc squad meets its end peacefully, or they would face a gruesome death in the hands of those two” Titan relayed.

”But why would the Orcs be in the Beast King’s regions?” Alec asked, puzzled.

”Clearly, they are there to hunt, Orcs require a substantial amount of meat to maintain their energy at its peak. Additionally, the bones of the beasts can be used to create ornaments or fused with Beast crystals to forge spirit equipment.”

” To the Orcs, this is a significant power boost. They would occasionally venture into the Beast King’s regions to hunt if the population of beasts in their own territories has dwindled, allowing them to reproduce undisturbed,”

Titan explained in great detail, shocking Alec, He couldn’t help but wonder if Titan’s intelligence had skyrocketed after his breakthrough to the Tier 3 realm.

”By the way, how did you become so brilliant?” Alec asked Titan indirectly, but Titan didn’t bother answering, Curiosity getting the better of him, Alec opened his status tab to examine his progress.

He had allocated exactly 40 attribute points to increase his endurance, resulting in it being one point higher than his strength.

However, there was still one aspect remaining before he had an overall balanced stats and that was – his Agility.

Alec focused his mind and willed the remaining attribute points into his Agility stat.

He then summoned the system spirit golem to inquire about his combat power.

”Just 31 more points to reach 100 in my Agility. I can’t wait,” Alec exclaimed.

”System spirit, how is my combat power?”

The system spirit, still visibly upset from being left in the space pouch for so long, responded with clear annoyance at being summoned now.

However, it acknowledged that it was not Alec’s fault as it had previously stated that it would not fight on Alec’s behalf.

”Based on your stats alone, you should have the power of a peak Tier 3 battle class Mage, If other factors like your Mana, combat sense, and weapons are taken into consideration, you should be able to escape unharmed from a Tier 4 lifeform,” the system spirit said sarcastically.

Alec became confused.

”What do you mean run away from a Tier 4?, I have fought Tier 4 beings before and have been able to defeat them with the help of others, Why should I back down now that I have become more powerful?”

”My dear, you have underestimated the power of the Mid-ranks, The Tier 4 beings you have faced so far are those who rushed their breakthroughs and have not yet stabilized their realms, There is only a slight difference in strength between them and strong peak Tier 3 warriors,” the system spirit explained.

”Let’s take the hyena Matriarch, for example, Do you think you would ever defeat her with James’s support?” the system spirit challenged Alec.

Alec was taken aback.

”And how do you know about that?” he asked in surprise, as he was certain that the system spirit had been locked up in the space pouch during those encounters.

”Oh come on, I am the system spirit, Whenever you use the system, I am notified of it, When you checked on the hyena Matriarch’s status, I moved my consciousness into the system to spy, Don’t tell me you’re shy now. I found out about your little demonic beast girlfriend and answer the questions,” the system spirit teased Alec.

”She’s not my girlfriend,” Alec quickly clarified, feeling slightly embarrassed.

”And no, I don’t think I would be able to defeat her if it ever came to that. She is really powerful.”

The memory of the newly breakthrough Hyena Matriarch holding her ground against both the Root and the Orc chief for sometime flashed in Alec’s mind.

She was undeniably formidable.

”Now, that’s because she has a solid foundation, She didn’t need any more time to get used to her realm, as she had been delaying her breakthrough in order to have a perfect one befitting her. Now, imagine fighting someone like that in the mid Tier 4 or high Tier 4.”

” The only thing you should think of is escape if you have no companion, because believe me, only after they get used to their realm’s powers can they step into the mid Tier 4 realm.”

” And that’s why the difference between low rank and mid rank is another level of power entirely, Because if you think you can fight a Tier 4 being like you confronted that Root whose realm was weakened due to your master’s strike or the wounded Orc chief who just entered Tier 4, you are in for a surprise. ”

The system spirit explained, causing Alec to get lost in his thoughts.
