The Golem Mage

Chapter 370: Loot.. 1

All the young masters and mistresses from the inner branch had gathered around the lava pool, settling on the molten dried stones that resembled stone thrones.

One of the geniuses among them, who had just been called from her seclusion to guard a nature Mid Tier mine, expressed her dissatisfaction.

”Why are we here again?” she questioned, reclining on her throne.

Her vibrant red hair flowed freely as she spoke, Another Blaze Clansman sitting nearby couldn’t help but roll his eyes.

”Oh, please, just stop it,” he retorted, tying his hair in a ponytail style.

”You weren’t the only one sent to watch over the Nature Mid Tier Mines, We all have been, and it seems the reason we were called back so soon is because someone has already caught the thieves.”

Before the lady could formulate a comeback, her attention was drawn towards someone appearing in front of them.

And the entire group fell silent, and after first Blaze Clansman greeted the newcomer.

”Elder!” he exclaimed, and in unison, the rest just all began to bow and greet him with respect too.

”You may all rise,” the Elder instructed, his presence giving out that peaceful feeling even in such and environment.

”You may not all be aware of why I have called you here, but rest assured, it will become clear soon, Our mines have been targeted by someone, who Initially does not know us, as we believed it to be mere thief who is not afraid of death, for no one in their right mind would have dare to challenge the Blaze Clan so openly.”

He paused, allowing his words to sink in among the young masters and mistresses before continuing.

”However, after a series of swift robberies, we now understand that it was not one person and these thieves harbour malicious intentions, Their level of organization indicates thorough research and planning.”

”Although these individuals responsible for these actions initially intended to provoke the outer branch, but their actions inadvertently captured our attention instead, after all you are the ones who gain most from the Mid mines.”

” And that’s why I sent all of you to different mines as guards, so that if they were to reveal themselves, you would be able to call for backup and we could apprehend them, However, it appears that someone here actually engaged in a fight with them and had the opportunity to capture them, but let them slip through their fingers.”

”Seriously, who could have been that foolish?” someone exclaimed.

”They couldn’t even catch thieves, We must teach that person a lesson,” another chimed in.

The group started gossiping, without bothering to find out who had fought against the mine bandits or who the bandits were.

”Well, since you all seem so eager to know what happened during the battle, you should hear it from the man who faced them,” the elder said, stepping aside to allow Ignis Blaze to approach.

Gasps escaped their lips as they realized that Ignis was actually the one who had fought with the bandits that managed to escape. Those who had made disrespectful comments earlier now felt foolish, as they slapped their hands over their mouths in regret

As Ignis was the strongest amongst them and if he could not catch them, it means they too might have also no been able to do it.

”I apologize for not being able to capture them,” Ignis began,

”but I must report that the individuals responsible for this incident are none other than the three Blade Clansmen, and they were aided in their escape by someone named... Hmm, I can’t recall his name, but he held the title of the Sixth Elder of the Lanzt Clan.”

”Not only did he deceive me with a decoy clone, but he also rescued the Blade Clansmen just as I was about to immobilize them, and I think It’s time we exercise extra caution when dealing with them in the future, as they may attempt another attack on our clan, just my opinion so From now on, all of you should go out in pairs, ” Ignis explained before leaving the meeting, taking a sip from his gourd of wine on his way out showing how uninterested he was with the meeting.

”That’s unbelievable! I can’t believe it. It seems we’ve been hearing a lot about these Mid Tier clans lately. Even the Elder of a Mid Tier clan can now escape the clutches of our Sun Child,” one of the mages exclaimed as Ignis went out of the special cave, and soon the entire area filled with loud noise.

They were only saying this because it seemed that a lot of talented geniuses were emerging from the Mid Tier clans, even surpassing the number of geniuses from the high and ancient clans. Discover stories at NovelFire.Côm

Although they weren’t particularly bothered by it, but their elders felt the need to constantly remind them that they were still leading the other clans based on their past accomplishments and prestige.

But they were urged to work harder if they wanted to maintain their position.

As they discussed what they would do if they encountered the Fridall Clan elder and the Blade Clansmen, they already knew the answer.

As they would have immediately used the signal to call for help, Ignis, on the other hand, had believed he was capable of handling them and didn’t light the signal, which led to him ultimately losing them at a critical moment.

But Despite this setback, he didn’t mind since he believed the information he brought was of the utmost importance.

The fact that the Blaze Clan’s enemies from the central kingdom were showing interest in the northern kingdom indicated something ominous was brewing.

While everyone talked and shared their ideas, the elder didn’t interrupt them since the inner branch had given orders to kill the Blade Clansmen on sight, and the inner branch special genius would be the ones sent to carry out the task.

So he was willing to entertain their suggestions and listen to all the chatter for the time being.

Meanwhile, Alec entered the War God Armoury and noticed that it was eerily silent and empty.

”Old man, I’m back with some goodies for you!” Alec exclaimed loudly as he walked into the room.

The short man, who had been slouched in his chair, quickly perked up, his pale face gaining a hint of colour.

”Ha ha, come in boy! Show me what you’ve got this time!” Alderic exclaimed as Alec stepped forward, gesturing towards his golems with huge sacks.

And the first one to emerge was a Shinigami Oni summons one of Oni’s minions , which proceeded to drop the bodies and stones contained within the sacks.

Bodies and power stones continued to spill out, leaving the rest of the group stunned, pondering what Alec must have gone through to acquire such a collection.

The bodies of numerous slain demonic beasts littered the ground, they were complete and intact and can bee used to create spirit equipment, and the power stones were clearly obtained from the orcs.

Each bag held different contents, some containing power crystals while others only holding power stones.

However, what truly filled the bags was the sheer number of bodies Alec had brought.

As He wasn’t willing to leave any behind when he had such a large workforce, and he still had additional important ones stored in his space rings.
