THE GOD EATER

Black Chain also didn’t want to believe that these four had rushed over just now, as that would make them an aggressive bunch constantly on the prowl for new Domains. Just imagining why they would be in a hurry to enter a domain they knew nothing about made him conjure possible outcomes for him that were each worse than the last one.

He would like to believe that these people were informed beforehand and had prepared to invade the Sea of Worlds. But even this one meant that the invaders were prepared while he wasn’t prepared to deal with them.

As he thought of these things, he made up his mind and said, ”It doesn’t matter what I want anymore. What matters is whether I have enough strength to deal with these people or not.”

In the past, he thought he could afford to be patient and see what the invaders were like before making a decision. But after he saw his son, who turned out to have more potential and godheads than him, he had begun to feel some pressure even before the invaders arrived.

Then, when he saw four vessels that were as big as super worlds enter the Sea of Worlds, he knew that he was screwed, and the pressure reached a tipping point that he could no longer ignore.

He still didn’t know how strong the invaders were, but he knew that he definitely didn’t have flying vessels the size of super worlds. The only flying vessel he possessed was a hover board, which always fell apart whenever he used it.

After making the comparison between him and the invaders, he decided that he didn’t have more time to waste. So he immediately reached out to contact the other Dao Lords of the Blessed Heaven World.

He projected his spirit into the Sea of Worlds through the Supreme Metac he anchored to the Blessed Heaven World. Then he used the divine constellation to communicate with the other Supreme Metacs anchored to the Blessed Heaven World.

In the divine constellation, five stars in the shape of monkeys sat in the sky, watching the Central Domain. There were other stars in this space too, monitoring their respective Domains.

The black monkey in control of the Death Supreme Metac started by saying, ”I know we have our differences. But it seems the time has come for us to put aside our differences and help the Blessed Heaven World to ascend.”

”Wow. I wonder what made you change your mind?” The star in the shape of constantly changing animals asked with a sneer.

The star in the shape of a white eagle replied meaningfully, saying, ”It might have something to do with those four large invaders. Or it could have something to do with his offspring. I’m sure that his offspring would have a worse personality than he does, while having more potential as a Dao Lord, so better in every way and very dangerous.”

Hearing this, the star in the shape of a young scholar said, ”This is not the time for strife. We really do not have time for that.”

After admonishing the troublemakers, the young scholar said to the black monkey, ”I am glad that you’ve come around. It is a little bit later than I wanted, but better later than never, I suppose.”

”I, for one, am surprised that you came to this conclusion without being forced. Color me impressed, master,” the red star in the shape of a young man said. ”I always thought you would rather die than give up power. It seems I was wrong.”

”Don’t be happy just yet,” the black monkey said, cutting off his unfilial disciple. ”I want something in exchange for releasing the Blessed Heaven World.”

”Now, that’s more like you,” said the black eagle. ”That’s the selfish control freak we’ve come to know and love.”

The star that was constantly changing form snorted and said, ”Speak for yourself. I do not love anything about him.”

”I was being sarcastic,” the white eagle said dryly. ”I don’t actually love him.”

The constantly changing star shot back, ”I knew you were being sarcastic, but sarcasm or not, I am not going to pretend I love him for anything, and I am not going to entertain someone else pretending to love him. That’s how much I hate him.”

”Please. Please, let’s hear what he has to say before we start fighting,” said the pink star.

”Oh, please,” said the star in the form of a giant. ”We are Dao Lords. We can fight and listen to what he has to say at the same time.”

While the giant star was rebuking the pink star, its counterpart, the star that was constantly changing its animal shape, was berating the twin eagle stars, calling them fake haters and referring to itself as a true hater.

The star in the form of the young scholar said to the black monkey, ”What did you say you want?”

”I want all of you to help me suppress the Will of the Blessed Heaven World after it advances,” the black monkey replied.

The two unruly stars, the giant barbarian star and the animal changing star, both immediately stopped arguing with the eagles and said to the black monkey, ”You can forget about it. We will never become your lackeys.”

”He doesn’t want us to become his lackeys. He just wants us to help him do something,” the white eagle said to correct the two unruly stars.

Then the black eagle said to the black monkey, ”We also say no. There’s no way we will help you do that for this kind of price.”

The white eagle nodded and said, ”You want to release the Will of the Blessed Heaven World, which will benefit you. But you’re acting as if you’re doing all of these just for us, and you want us to pay you for your services. That won’t work.”

”We aren’t fools, and we aren’t cheap. You will have to pay a higher price to get our help.”
