THE GOD EATER

Three of the attendants have his tracking mark on them. Plus the one on Slav, the one on Monarch Life’s Worth, and the one on Monarch Forced Exchange, this made a total of six of his tracking marks. This is every tracking mark that he can use at this point.

He gained an extra tracking mark when he advanced to rank 6, and it seems the tracking marks are capable of so much more than telling him the direction of prey. So his Tracking Ability can be said to have undergone both quantitative and qualitative improvements ever since he became a divine being.

After killing them, the sect sent a bill for the lives of the ten people. He ate the bodies of the four bystanders and the three attendants without his tracking mark on them.

He ate them by covering their corpses with the black force field. The black force field grabbed them, shrunk them, and took them back into his Cave Heaven.

The black force field dragged their corpses into the core of his Cave Heaven and right into golden Fenrir’s jaws. Then Fenrir got to work eating them.

A second later, Fenrir had digested their corpses. The amount of lifespan he got from eating their corpses was disappointing.

There were a total of four rank 3 cultivators, two rank 2 cultivators, and one rank 1 cultivator. So he should have earned (4 × 3) + (2 × 2) + (1 × 1), which is 17 years of lifespan from eating them. But he only earned 7.5 years’ worth of lifespan.

This pitiful amount of lifespan was disappointing, but it still increased his total lifespan from 13 years to 20 and a half years.

The increase in lifespan is good, but he still said to himself, ’Note to self, eat them while they are still alive before their souls and energy well start to dissipate.’

Because they were dead before he ate them, he only got half of the normal amount of lifespan from the four rank 3 cultivators and only one-third from the rank 2 and rank 1 cultivators.

The corpses of the three rank 3 cultivators gave him more than those of the corpses of the rank 2 and rank 1 cultivators because they possessed their Life Abilities. But the wastage of lifespan was still significant and unpleasant to him.

When he thought of losing 50% worth of his lifespan like that, he couldn’t help but say, ’I may think they are ants, but I still value their lives and won’t let their worth go to waste just like that.’

While he was contemplating whether the true value of a person’s life is how much he will gain from eating them or how much the sect assigns to them, he watched his marks disappear from the room and leave the Blessed Heaven World completely.

When he saw his tracking marks leaving the world, he didn’t panic. Instead, he began to wait in anticipation.

As for why his mark was leaving the Blessed Heaven World, he wasn’t surprised because he had orchestrated it. He orchestrated it by killing all of the ascendants at the same time and then eating the ones he didn’t put the tracking mark on.

The information broker sensed the sudden death of the six attendants from where he was. But he didn’t know what had happened because the attendants hadn’t had time to tell him.

Fortunately, there was a way for him to find out what had happened. He could retrieve the eye in their minds and digest all of the information within it.

As a manifestation of his Knowledge Network Ability, it is easy for him to retrieve the eye from across a great distance. It would only take a few seconds to do so.

What he didn’t know was that Loki had only allowed the eye to be retrieved because he didn’t seal it with his mark. He also didn’t know that he wasn’t retrieving only an eye and was also dragging a tracking mark to his location.

Even when the tracking reached him and attached itself to his mind, the information breaker still didn’t notice. He only went ahead trying to digest everything that the eye had seen.

When Loki sensed that the fish had bitten his bait, he cracked his neck in preparation, and he said in anticipation, ’I wouldn’t have had to do this and go through all of this stress if I could still use Branch Metacs. But I am looking forward to leaving the Blessed Heaven World.’

As he said this, he tore through the dimensional barrier down to the third dimension. From there, he looked in the direction of his mark.

The position of his tracking mark was very far away, even into the third dimension where the concept of distance had shrunken. So even if he walked through the third dimension, it would still take him days to reach his destination.

Fortunately, he knew exactly where to go, so he didn’t have to fly there through the third dimension. He used the link between him and his mark to tear through space and appear at the location directly.

This is an ability that he just discovered that he could use the tracking mark for. He isn’t sure if the tracking mark could be used for this when he was a mortal or if it only gained this capability when he became a divine being, the way the Siphon Ability recently gained its ability to extract lifespan, and the way the Devour Ability recently became capable of digesting things into lifespan for him to use.

But he is sure that even if the tracking mark was capable of being used like this, he couldn’t have utilized this ability for this because he wasn’t aware of extradimensions and couldn’t transverse through them.

He was thinking about this with a smirk on his face when he suddenly ran face-first into a wall. He recognized the wall after examining it for a second. But what he recognized turned his confusion because of running into a wall into surprise because he didn’t expect this wall to be here.
