THE GOD EATER

He was chuckling as he said, ’I knew this day would come ever since Fenrir fused with my Energy Well at rank 2.’

’It took more than 18 years to go from fusing with my Energy Well to becoming Fenrir. How time flies.’

Then he became serious as he said, ’But I should change how I appear before someone spies on me.’

The Insight Stat is only an extraordinary perception. It can’t be used to read thoughts, but it can definitely be used to see every physical change that someone has undergone throughout their life.

He still doesn’t plan to stay in this timeline for a long time and plans to make a quick cash grab before reversing time again. So any problem he creates in this timeline is only temporary for him. But just to be safe, he decided to change how he appeared.

In order to change his appearance, he activated the Nanite Metac. It worked, and his appearance became that of an ordinary human. But this success consumed six years of his lifespan. This was a vast difference from when he could use Divine Metacs without any lifespan.

This made him say with bitterness, ’I guess this is the price I have to pay for becoming a Divine Being. Every use of a Divine Metac will involve my Divine Position and Life Fire, so it will cost lifespan. And Branch Metacs can’t withstand the power of my Divine Position, so they have become useless to me.’

Then he activated the Power Identification Ability.

Race: Dragon

Available Lifespan: 35 Years 2 Months

Cultivation Rank: 6

Cave Heaven: 87,381,333 square kilometers

Body: 5 >> 6

Soul: 5

Mind: 5

Will: 6(6%)

Insight: 6

Law Fragment(Amplification): 21(100%)

CORE METAC: Fenrir (Power Identification. Tracking. Seal. Devouring. Siphon. Power Shifting).

DIVINE METAC(RANK): Rewind(6). Splitting Edge(6). Mind Freeze(6). Nanite(6). Vengeful Bones(6).

He should have had 41 years of lifespan since he had a total of 77 years to live and had only lived 36 years of it. But the activation of the Nanite Metac had taken 6 years from him, leaving him only 35 years of lifespan to work with.

As for the two years’ worth of lifespan that he drained from the golden divine being, it didn’t follow him into the past. He also didn’t see the Gold Body Divine Metac among his repertoire of Divine Metacs.

For now, he can’t tell why this is the case. But he has an inkling as to why this happened.

When he saw that the Power Identification Ability didn’t consume any of his lifespan to work, he sighed in relief and said, ’Old Fenrir is still reliable. But this doesn’t change the fact that times have changed for me.’

He looked at his new stats and said, ’The days of using Branch Metacs and the Energy Manipulation Skill are over for me. Even internal energy has reduced in usefulness.’

’Internal energy is only to activate my Law Fragments and use them to enhance my power. Now, what I need is lifespan and a lot of it.’

’As for my power, it will come from Divine Metacs, my Cave Heaven, my stats, my Law Fragments, and Fenrir. At least, Fenrir and my Cave Heaven will work for free for me. Even better is that Fenrir can help me gain more lifespan. So things aren’t so bad.’

Then he smiled and said, ’Fenrir is good to me, but that won’t be so for everyone else.’

At this time, everyone in the awakening room had begun to stir. Their groans as they stood up drew Loki’s attention, so he turned to look at them.

As his eyes scanned them, he saw nearly everything about them. He saw how strong their bodies, souls, and minds were at a glance.

He was also able to see their minds. This was without the aid of any mental Metacs. It was all because of the Insight Stat.

Not only that, but he also discovered that he could read their minds. This was because they didn’t have any Mental Palace to guard their mind, so all of their thoughts were exposed to him.

The only thing that he couldn’t see about them was their Energy Well. Their Energy Wells appeared to be a void within them. Nothing could be seen in that void. He couldn’t even tell the size of the void.

The sight of so many people made him wonder to himself, saying, ’I wonder how much lifespan I will gain from devouring these people.’

Then he shook his head inwardly and said, ’Forget it. Let me register with the sect before I start destroying sect property.’

’Besides, if eating mortals was worth it, there would be no mortals left alive in this world. All the divine beings would be feasting on mortals day and night until mortals have been hunted into extinction.’

’Or could it be that eating mortals can grant more lifespan, but divine beings are prohibited from hunting mortals? I will ask my informant later. For now, the hunt is the priority.’

After making up his mind, he said to Muni, ”Take me to register.”

Muni bowed and obeyed immediately.

He didn’t even say anything to indicate that he heard the order.. He behaved as if he were mute as he led Loki away. This was because he was too afraid to speak.

He doesn’t even know what cultivation rank Loki is at because he can’t sense any energy from Loki’s body. In fact, Loki looks like an ordinary mortal to him. But he doesn’t believe that Loki is an ordinary person because he had initially sensed a massive amount of energy and power from Loki’s body before he fainted.

Then, when he woke up, he found out that everyone had fainted except this seemingly ordinary mortal man. And when he looked at this ordinary man, he saw a golden flame above his head. The golden flame was burning silently without any heat or brightness, but he didn’t dare to underestimate it.
