THE GOD EATER

Her ability to kill anyone as long as she has enough money to buy their life is why he doesn’t want to become enemies with her at all. There doesn’t seem to be a price to pay for using her Life Ability, so there is no reason for her not to use that Life Ability to kill people.

He could only shake his head and say, “As long as she has money, she can kill anyone. It is honestly too broken.”

“The Death Pathway, Enslavement Pathway, and Mind Hunter Pathway are also unreasonable in their power. Take me for example, I am about to start a blood bath, and I am not even here. The other sects are truly screwed.”

What was happening above with the rank 5 cultivators was a copy of what was happening down below in the fight between the rank 4 cultivators of the five sects. Despite ganging up on the Four Directions Sect, they were actually the ones taking a beating, not the Four Directions Sect.

So common sense dictates that as a member of the Sword Way Sect, this female swordsman should join her sect in suppressing the Four Directions Sect. But she didn’t think that was fair, so she brandished her sword against the people of the other Four Sects and began killing them.

Her attack was insidious and more difficult to deal with because she had the identity of an ally and because she was attacking from behind them.

In fact, they didn’t think they should defend against her at all. So they were caught off guard as she cut them down.

As she killed the people who should be her allies, she said through gritted teeth, “Evil must be eliminated at all costs. I must cut down every injustice regardless of the bounds of identity and friendship.”

Loki was the one feeding her these lines. The Hypnotize Metac was working overtime in her mind to help her overcome the validity of common sense and her resistance to killing the people who should be her allies.

She is clearly incapable of upholding justice and cutting down injustice in all of its forms. Fortunately, she had Loki to help her.

With Loki on her side, there is no ally that she can’t cut down in the name of justice. Even her friends won’t be safe from her blade.

But this wasn’t easy for Loki to do at all. Each time she swung her blade to kill an ally, the sword in her mind would notice that something was wrong and would begin to check her mind for anomalies.

So he has to constantly suppress the sword and its instinctive attempts to eliminate external influence on her mind. It was tiring work that the clueless mind of a python couldn’t create.

The fact that her fellow disciples were shouting at her to snap out of it was only making things more difficult for him. He could only ease the difficulty by encouraging her to kill the talkative ones first.

As he encouraged her to kill more people from her sect, he said to himself, “I was wondering how the founder of the Sword Way Sect could come from our sect when some of the disciples of his sect are obsessed with doing good. But I can now tell that he knows the Four Directions Sect a lot.”

“The sword he created can defend the mind, defend against curses, and vanquish corpses. If I didn’t know better, I would think he crafted the Sword Way Sect to counter the Four Directions Sect.”

“Unfortunately for him, his best wasn’t good enough to counter the Four Directions Sect. It is not his fault, though. He was only a forger.”

“It is already a good thing that the disciples of his sect can at least resist and put up a fight against mind control. He can’t be blamed for the weakness of his disciples.”

Her mind is resisting him every step of the way, so it will be easier for him to destroy her mind than to manipulate her mind. But as impressive as this resistance is, it is not that great when it is considered that she is not the only one who is manipulating right now.

It is true that she requires a lot of attention from him right now. But thanks to the Quintuple Mind Metac, he can deal with five times as much work without losing focus.

However, this is not something to be proud of. He shouldn’t feel over the moon about being capable of manipulating the minds of people like her at the same time. This is because what he is doing is something that Mind Hunters can do.

Of course, rank 4 Mind Hunters can’t do what he is doing so easily because he is using rank 5 Metacs. But as Mind Hunters, it is absolutely normal for them to be able to manipulate a swordsman and three other swordsmen at the same time.

The only special thing about what he is doing is that he can manipulate one more swordsman than his peers. But this is not something that is obvious, even to another Mind Hunter.

And a lot of Mind Hunters noticed his work with this swordsman. When the people from the Four Directions Sect saw her hacking and slashing her allies from behind, they immediately suspected that she was under someone’s control.

It is absolutely normal for them to see someone fall under someone else’s control. As for the exact type of control mechanism that she had fallen for, only the Mind Hunters could tell immediately.

After looking at her mind, they didn’t see any Enslavement Seeds. What they saw were Mind Bombs and Mind Nodes. So they knew what was controlling her.

The Mind Hunters, who noticed this, said in confirmation to everyone else, “She is one of us and will only stop being one of us when her mind shatters.”

This statement made everyone leave her alone and treat her like one of them.
