The First Store System

Chapter 1635: Seven Day Tournament(2)

The tournament had only begun, and droves after droves of people were being eliminated or taking one step forward toward the rich rewards the store had offered for the event.

The days passed in no time, and after several different types of competitions, the event for the day came to an end. Groups of people had formed as the winners discussed their rewards, the losers lamented their failures, while those who were only one step away from winning the rewarded ranks stayed silent.

Finally, the last day of the event arrived, and everyone looked very excited.

There was only one competition on the seventh day, and that was the most awaited contest, as the top reward was Aakesh’ inheritance.

Everyone who had shopped in the store knew the fearsomeness of Aakesh. Despite not doing anything harmful to anyone, Aakesh was the most feared being in the Sacred Dimension. The higher the cultivation level, the more fearsome Aakesh was to them.

Immediately after Aakesh announced the start of the contest, everyone disappeared from their seats, barring those who were too young.

Panagea was the destination of the competition, as the entire population of the Sacred dimension appeared there. Before everyone, there was a golden pyramid-shaped crystal.

At the same time, Aakesh’ projection appeared before everyone to introduce the rules of the contest. There was no time limit for the contest, so participants could even take billions of years.

Aakesh didn’t even need the system’s help for this, as he maintained the time flow so that no matter how much time passed in the competition, only six hours would have passed in reality.

At the same time, for this event, Aakesh had spent almost seventy percent of his total wealth. Not only were the rewards for the competition rich, but there were also prizes left here and there during the contest, and anyone who got those would get to keep them.

”The format of the contest is to build a clan...”

Every contestant would start as the head of a small family, and then they would have to take that family and upgrade it to third level. Based on the time, the contestants would be ranked from one to one hundred, and then those one hundred would compete against each other, with the strongest family becoming the winner and the family head becoming the inheritor of Aakesh’ inheritance.

It didn’t matter what route the family took or what they did; only the conditions set by Aakesh mattered.

Many in the crowd became tense upon hearing the format since leading a family took a lot of skill and hard work. It wasn’t just individual growth. And since the people would forget about the competition and willingly believe them to be the family head, whatever they did in the contest would have an impact on them.

Aakesh then explained some more details about the contest, and once he had concluded, he asked the participants to grab the crystal floating before them and crush it.

The participants did as told, and the next moment, a blinding golden light covered each of them. Not long after, everyone’s memory had been reset, and they were teleported to their specific destinations.

Cry!

A piercing cry broke out in the darkness of the night, and Lorne’s heart, which had been hanging in his mouth for the past few hours, finally calmed down.

He didn’t care about anything and rushed inside the broken hut.

Lorne had a tragic past. He became the head of the Svant family not long after he turned 16 because of his father’s unfortunate death.

His father’s death was not only an immense personal loss for him but also for the Svant family. The former was one of the three Level 9 members of the family.

In the world, there were three grades of families. For any family to become a first-grade family, they needed to have at least one Rank 10 member and three Rank 9 members.

The world’s will rewarded the family based on their ranks, so if the Svant family ever became a first-grade family, their legacy would be cemented for the next ten thousand years.

They were only one Rank 10 member away from achieving that goal, and Lorne’s father was the one likely to reach that goal. Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out that way.

Even then, Lorne was a competent family head, and under his lead, the family soon had two more Level 9 members, with him being one of the four.

A Level 9 member could live for three hundred years, and even the oldest had more than a decade of lifespan left, so things looked like they were improving to an unprecedented level for the family.

Unfortunately, a tragedy struck the Svant family, and they were attacked by a horde of maniac beasts.

Maniac beasts were monsters that only existed to feed on beings of other races without any sanity.

Even Lorne was on the verge of death, but he was saved by a family elder who sacrificed herself. Since Lorne was the youngest Level 9 member in the history of the family, he was the family’s hope of revival.

Lorne was forced to run with only a couple of his family members. It was a completely controlled world, with even a tree having an owner, so it wasn’t easy for Lorne and the family.

Time flash to that day: Lorne was one of the only two remaining members of the Svant family, with the second being the woman who had just given birth.

It was and wasn’t incest because Svants were a group of barbarians who came together and formed a family. Lorne had no blood relation with the woman, but her ex-husband was one of his distant cousins.

Unfortunately, that cousin died, leaving only these two Svants.

There was no lustful or romantic feeling between the two, so when Lorne entered the broken hut, he only glanced at the woman and focused on the baby.

”Congratulations, Lorne, it is a baby boy!”

Lorne couldn’t help but laugh, as it had been years since he had heard any news worth laughing about.
