The First Store System

Chapter 1617: (1) The First Sale!

After their traditional session of conversation, the trio returned to the store. Lily and Khaval went to Panagea, and the former looked excited as it was finally time to settle things.

Aakesh went to Panagea after them as he also had things to do.

Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.

[Host, the sun is about to rise in Thorr City!]

The system’s mechanical, emotionless voice rang in Aakesh’s ears, waking him up from his meditation.

Some time later, Aakesh climbed down the stairs and waited for the first ray of sunlight to tear through the cover of fading darkness.

A short time later, the time had arrived, so Aakesh walked to the door and opened it, allowing Ransh to enter first.

Ransh raised his eyes in surprise as there was quite a change in the store from the previous day. Not only had the space inside grown severalfold, but there was a new room waiting for him to explore.

”From today, the store will sell a new product, Talismans…”

Aakesh introduced the product to Ransh since he was the store’s assistant and it was his duty to explain the new product to the customers who would come to him.

Ransh nodded in excitement upon hearing about the product and was also curious about what different talismans would be. Talismans were extremely common products, but as nothing related to the store could be ordinary, there must be things special about the product as well.

Since the sun had already appeared, there was no time to waste, so after introducing the product to Ransh, Aakesh walked to the door and slid it fully open, bringing excitement to the faces of the numerous people on the empty ground.

After Aakesh returned to his seat, the crowd thronged the store like a raging tide, and in no time the ground outside the store had turned empty.

The first million customers to enter the store were covered in golden light and became even more excited. But soon curiosity overwhelmed their excitement as the change inside the store was visible to everyone.

Aakesh didn’t waste any time as every second delay extended the store’s closing time due to Panagea. He then introduced the talismans, their quality levels, their availability, and other things about the product to the customers.

Those who were in the golden group decided to wait for their Panagea turn to be over since the product wasn’t a temporary product.

Maria was the first to reach Aakesh and left for Panagea after greeting him. She had completely changed from how she was when she first came to the store.

Even cultivators stronger than her treated her respectfully due to her power in Panagea. And with power, her beauty had also seen an explosive improvement.

She would get proposals from strong male and female cultivators every day. Even a Sacred Monarch had proposed to her with the condition of making Maria his only wife, but her rejections had always been constant.

Even then, the proposals had never stopped, hoping for themselves to be the lucky guy and get selected by her.

Only Maria and her close friends knew about her feelings for the store owner. She had long accepted that nothing was going to happen between them, but her feelings were so strong that she never looked at any other man after that. It was either Aakesh or no one.

Fortunately for her, she had already accepted and knew the answer to be no one, so her life was going well.

Kritomi looked at the talisman in her hands with a smiling expression. Since she wasn’t lucky enough to get into the first golden group, she immediately rushed to the new room to check the new product.

Her cultivation was Supreme God, so the store didn’t have the required talisman level for her, but since she wanted to be the first to purchase the new item, its usability didn’t matter to her. She could keep that just for her memory also.

In her hand was a rugged octagonal medal created from obsidian that was engraved with golden patterns looking like mountain peaks. There was a small gem placed at its center that glowed gray-brown.

For the talisman, the system hadn’t put any purchase restriction, so Kritomi paid for it using her own store card and excitedly left the room.

Another customer behind her took her place, and the man didn’t look happy. Many of the people currently in the room didn’t need talismans from the store due to their higher cultivation, but they wanted to be the first to purchase them, so they came. Unfortunately for them, Kritomi won the race.

But now that they had come here, they couldn’t just leave, so they also waited for their turn.

Several seconds later, Aakesh was suddenly bombarded with mechanical alerts in his head.

Since he was with the customers, he ignored them and waited for an opportune time to arrive.

Time flew by, and not long after, Aakesh got free time. It was rare as he usually got any reprieve later in the day.

Aakesh immediately asked the system, and the alerts rang once again.

[Ding!]
