The Conquerors Path

Chapter 995: Chapter 993-A Tough Choice.

’I don’t want to push her too much.’

I mused at that thought, looking at how much Vixuola was struggling not to jump my bones and suck my blood till kingdom come.

Because she knows it, Vixuola can feel that drinking my blood will be good for her, a path towards a higher form of life, more power. They flow deeply into my blood, and Vixuola was currently barely holding onto her sanity from jumping me and finishing off her greatest desire to evolve into something more superior.

To get more power.

And just before Vixuola seemed that she was about to lose her mind, I slowly pulled it back, letting her breathe from the passion that was begging her to fall to my blood, to become a victim of myself. Thus, within a few seconds, Vixuola flashed, moving a bit farther away from me.

”Huff... huff... huff...”

The rough breaths of hers filled the place as I saw her a bit distant away from me, clutching onto her knees, her hair clinging to her face, while she was filled with sweat all over the place. Seeing so, I quickly pulled my wings back to myself, my aura retracting to me as I slowly walked up to her. Though the moment I tried to, she raised her hand, waving it down at me to stay away at this time.

”Are you okay?”

So I asked that question, to which a few seconds later, having taken deep breaths, Vixuola replied.

”Yeah... I am fine.”

Her words itself not sound that strong as I could see her finally getting her bearing back, standing up straight as her body flashed for a moment, after which she looked back to the same superior woman she was. Her gaze held a certain extra shine as she looked at me; it seemed more like a sense of desire, defeat, and deep thoughts.

”Why don’t you tell me everything from the very beginning?”

The words being spoken from behind as I turned back to look at Vixuola back at the same seat as before, chugging down the wine, seemingly using it to control her ”thirst,” as I, with a wry smile, replied.

”Sure, and sorry if it made you different.”

With those words, I sat down facing Vixuola, after which I started to tell my story.

”I have been more talented than anyone I know my age, and one day I fell into this historic world, one so different from everything I have ever been taught. I was 13 years old when it happened.”

Pausing here, I had more of a reminiscent look as I continued.

”It was then that I was forced to undergo an extreme amount of trials, things that nearly broke me. To tell the truth, I don’t even know how I passed them. By the end of it, I was lying on an altar, and some kind of man, his presence being more divine, was standing over me. I still remember the words he whispered...”

Pausing here, I looked into the eyes of Vixuola as I spoke.

”The world is yours...”

Taking a pause, I continued.

”Is what I got, before an overwhelming amount of pain filled me. I blacked out after that, and the moment I woke up later, I knew what I am, what I was. A lot of information automatically comes to mind, telling, teaching me the way forward, and I also understand how special I am. And thankfully, I was also gifted with the ability to hide myself, to keep myself hidden from any nefarious eyes.”

Taking a moment to collect my thoughts and take deep breaths while hiding away my goosebumps and pain from those thoughts, I focused on Vixuola as I continued.

”After that, it was just me hiding what I am and growing stronger and stronger, to one day reach a level where I won’t have to hide what I am, to openly walk with pride for being what I am. And today I got the chance.”

Saying till here, I gave Vixuola a wide smile, which brought her into a daze, which she quickly got out of as she asked.

”So do you have the ability to?”

Pausing at that point in her question, I smiled.

”Yes, but it’s not an easy process. It’s a specific process, and doing that will make it such that they belong to me in a way, serving me. So I haven’t ever done that before, never found anyone to do it with, and never thought I needed to.”

I could see my answer make Vixuola shiver for a moment, though the latter part of my words did douse a bit of her enthusiasm. For someone who grew up and crawled to reach the position she has, it would be hard for her to even swallow the fact that she would be subservient to me in a way. It’s not something easy for anyone to swallow.

When you reach a specific level of power, from then onwards, many people will try their best to cling to the power they hold, being completely unwilling to choose the other path forward. It’s not easy, and it’s not something to judge for either.

”I see, sounds like a tough life.”

Vixuola said with a wry smile, to which I responded.

”It has been tough, but also a good life. Found some worthwhile people along the way, ones to protect and ones that showed me the way, so it hasn’t been overall that bad.”

My words now brought more of a genuine smile to Vixuola’s face, though the shock and awe of everything that had happened hadn’t faded away from her. Thus, I leaned back into the chair, keeping my silence, the two of us falling into a more controlled silence as we just sat there under the moon, feeling the wind.

”This is a serious matter which could change the political structure of the whole vampire race itself. If played right, we would even rise to take on the dragons.”

Speaking till here, I could see Vixuola’s body shiver with delight about it, about the future that will be heading for the vampires. You see, even with everything that has changed, the structure of liking your race more hasn’t changed at all, and the words of Vixuola had fact to it. An Angel, the species of Angel itself, is a very powerful one, spoken of in myths, that only lies within the heavens.

”Just how much of your strength were you holding back?”

To this question, I smiled.

”A lot.”

I replied with a sly smile, making Vixuola chuckle. The intent in her bubbling forth, I could feel the future she was seeing, the future she was reaching towards.

”Being what you are, when you became that in itself, your power level would have automatically risen to higher levels due to the very fact of taking in that race. Is the Origin realm 7 fake?”

The question only earned a mysterious smile from me as I replied.

”Being superior comes with its own advantages.”

My reply made Vixuola narrow her eyes. She didn’t like it towards the fact that I was hiding some things from her, but she could accept it too. For me to reach where I am right now, I had to be secretive to the letter.

”What made you trust me?”

It was a simple question, but a loaded one. For one who was hiding all my life to suddenly show up like this and open up to her of all people, this was a huge opportunity to know that any vampire would have jumped to their death to get in on. So why I had chosen her remained a question in her mind.

”Because you were the best.”

My answer simple and pure as I looked deep into her eyes. She liked it a lot more than she would admit.

”The only reason you so openly came forward right now is that you have reached a level where you don’t have to fear what will fall upon you, but I am guessing you still want me to keep what you are a secret?”

”Yes, though I don’t mind loyalty buying more.”

Vixuola nodded her head at the answer as she asked more of the important questions.

”Would there be a limit to how many you can turn?”

”I can’t answer that correctly, but it takes a lot out of me just to turn the one. I will be momentarily weakened after I do that, plus I can’t easily keep doing it either. It takes time and effort. Plus, as you can understand, a certain level of interaction...”

Pausing, I had a light blush on my face as I continued.

”My blood has to be taken from me from close range, which means skin-to-skin drinking. No other way won’t work, and as you can understand, I won’t prefer doing that with a male.”

The answer made Vixuola’s lips twitch, her eyes narrowing at it as she understood the depths of what was happening.

”Would you have full control of who you create?”

”I am not a god. They can’t harm me, but I can’t fully control them either. They are all free to live by.”

Vixuola took that answer with a lot of doubt to it, but she didn’t call me out for it.
