The Conquerors Path

Chapter 783: Chapter 781-Nice Bloodline.

The world is maintained by order and chaos, the two of them being two sides of the same coin, the different legacies of the past passing through my mind as I read through the information in front of me, my eyes lighting up at some of the information as I came to understand more about the new situation surrounding this new and improved system.

ʼBasically, it became a badass.ʼ

I laughed internally at that thought, a lot of things I still have to work through, but the more important issue still lay in my bloodline. Thinking of that, I commanded the system.

ʼGive me the specifics of my bloodline now.ʼ

Bloodline: The Ascendant Shadow of the Hidden Hero

Description:

You now bear the legacy of one who was both a saviour and a shadow. A figure who wielded charm and cunning to alter the course of history without leaving a trace of his hand. This power is both a boon and a warning-an inheritance of greatness and sorrow, bound by secrets and legends that once were thought lost. This bloodline will test your resolve, pushing you to the limits of what it means to walk in order and chaos.

First Ability: The Eternal Adaptor

Rank: Now Divine Tier

Description:

You have inherited the ultimate resilience. Where mortals falter, you adapt. Where gods tremble, you evolve. This ability allows you to endure forces that defy mortal comprehension. Be it the weight of celestial curses or the energies of divine realms; you will stand untouched, adjusting to each new threat as naturally as breathing. In moments of extreme peril, this adaptation reaches its apex, entering *Reflexive Adaptation*, where your essence temporarily mirrors the power of the primordials themselves.

Second Ability: Veiled Innocence

Rank: Divine

Description:

The charm of the Hidden Hero is now a mask of purity, impenetrable to all but the most discerning eyes. This ʼinnocenceʼ cloaks your true intentions, making even your enemies question their instincts around you. As a beacon of trust, you draw allies and disarm foes, projecting an aura that resonates with the very souls of those you encounter. Even the doubtful find themselves at ease, and those once guarded now fall under the allure of your veiled intentions.

Third Ability: The Binding of Eternal Devotion

Rank: Divine

Description:

The Contract has transcended mortal limits. Those you bind are now tied to your spirit eternally, carrying your essence within them across realms and beyond death itself. This connection blesses their bloodline, extending your influence through generations. You may summon the ethereal presence of those bound to you at any moment, uniting their spirits as a Harem Legion to aid you in your journey.

Fourth Ability: Essence Borrow

Rank: Divine

Description:

This power has surpassed simple replication. Now, when you ʼborrowʼ an ability, you reach into the core of anotherʼs essence, drawing forth not just their powers, but their experiences and memories. Your aura merges with theirs, granting you unmatched synergy and insight. This Essence Borrowing now functions without limits, evolving as if these abilities were your

own.

A new growth has taken place; from now on, the contract isnʼt just borrowing power anymore. Any power they wield, any law they wield, any speciality they hold will be for you to use. They will become part of your ʼgalaxy,ʼ going forth to become your law, your own pure power, one that only bends to your will, free to be played around with anytime by you.

Newly Unlocked Abilities

The Soulforge of the Hidden Hero

Rank: Divine

Description:

With the Soulforge, you can channel power into those who share your contract. Strength, immunity, knowledge-you hold the ability to bless or bolster them as extensions of yourself. Through this, your allies become beacons of your will, granting you influence over their very destinies.

Legacy of the Forgotten Hero

Rank: ???

Description:

A hidden truth now emerges, revealing glimpses of the original bearer of this bloodline. Through these visions, you gain forbidden knowledge, ancient spells, and insights that risk divine wrath. Beware, for this ability carries with it costs that may extend beyond consequence.

Eighth Ability: The Mirror of Desire

Rank: Divine

Description:

This ability projects an ethereal reflection of the personʼs deepest desires, forming a mirrored vision of their most cherished fantasy-but with you at the centre. This mirror creates a temporary illusion that draws the individual into a shared space, blending reality with fantasy. Within this Mirror Realm, they see you as the ultimate embodiment of their desires, regardless of how specific or complex. The longer they remain, the more their devotion intensifies, making them eager to see you as their own ideal.

Ninth Ability: Veins of Velvet

Rank: SS~~Ascendant

Description:

A unique charm flows through your very blood, allowing you to transfer a heightened sensation with each heartbeat. When activated, anyone physically close to you feels a gentle pulsing energy through their veins that mimics the rhythms of your own. This feeling creates an intimate connection that goes beyond touch, binding them to your heartbeat. Over time, they come to anticipate your presence, feeling a lingering echo of your heartbeat whenever they think of you. Veins of Velvet can be strengthened to grant physical fortitude or heightened awareness, almost as if their senses are tied to your own.

Tenth Ability: Ephemeral Euphoria

Rank: Godly

Description:

Channelling the mystic essence of pleasure and tranquillity, Ephemeral Euphoria allows you to induce a deep, dreamlike state in those around you, filling their minds with vivid, comforting visions of you. This state transcends physical intimacy, awakening profound emotional bonds and reinforcing an unbreakable sense of loyalty and peace whenever they recall the experience. Those affected often find themselves revitalised, their spirits inexplicably drawn to you. Ephemeral Euphoria lingers like a treasured memory, binding those who experience it closer to your aura, even after it has faded.

As always, this should be more of the perverted hero than the hidden hero with all the abilities this bloodline is giving me. Just looking at the new stuff is giving me a headache. It also comes with its advantages too, especially the new abilities, which I am already thinking of ways in which it will be useful to me. The only issue will be for me to try and keep my ego in check, which wonʼt be easy.

The current me, the risen culmination of good and evil-not to mention the fact that I have half shed my mortal form and have now taken up the form of a half-divine-means my own mental state is where all the rest of the mortal ones will be like toys that I will be able to rush

pretty easily if I try.

There also comes the issue of where I should get used to tuning down my mindset from a half-true divine, which means to me the rest of the mortals will be like talking monkeys that I will have to deal with, ones that canʼt even come close to watch, see, or even understand at my

level. They will be like slow-talking chimpanzees, I tell you.

ʼThat is indeed a problem.ʼ

My own level of arrogance has risen with this, and itʼs also the fact that my mentality is being twisted by my laws. The laws a god inhabits, in a sense, also go forth to set their personalities, too. Thus, each has its own distinct way of dealing with it, too, and mine is the mix between chaos and order, which, if not controlled by me, will control me.

I would have to always keep the mix between order and chaos with a 50-50 hold. If I let chaos take too much hold, then my mind would become more free and desire-filled, not even minding the fact of taking care and just trying to fill in my desire in any way possible. I wouldnʼt care if I hurt the feelings of the ones around me.

And if I allow order to take too much control, my mind will turn too robotic and hollow.

Basically, I will work like a machine that focuses on achieving things in the most efficient way possible. In a path, if it meant killing this innocent person to go forward, then I would do it, for it would be the best path forward for me.

To me, in the state of order, I wonʼt have emotions, only the most efficient path I can take, it

being the exact opposite of chaos. The two sides, if left to take over, will act on their own and will overwhelm me, destroying everything I have created till now, which is not something I

want.

ʼI need to keep the balance.ʼ

It is the perfect balance between the two that is making me... me.

Of course, I am still not the same person I was before I joined with my hallowed self and awakened, in a sense. The current me is more cruel, and my mind could be said to be detached too, focusing on my divine side. Just like all the full divines, once reaching upon divinity in full, those emotions that are ʼhumanʼ of loving someone seem to be being removed.

I would have turned out like this if my divinity didnʼt mix between chaos and order, and itʼs something I am coming to see. The order divinity stays as the basis for all the Gods of this side. It removes the main concept of even feeling love and lust, which keeps them orderly

because, without it, all the Gods of heaven stay very efficient. ʼThatʼs quite the brutal system there.ʼ
