The Conquerors Path

Chapter 761: Chapter 759-She Is Back.

My eyes narrowed at that thought, though it didnʼt worry me much. The life that I spread to her is like a drug she wonʼt be able to give up. Slowly but surely, Sylvanna will find me on her own. Just this one taste was enough to get her hooked, though she did well in hiding it and using the current atmosphere to appear more... normal.

ʼBut the bigger things left to deal with are the issue.ʼ

Thinking so, I tapped playfully at the table, my gaze on Noel, who was still respectfully standing by, while my eyes then travelled towards Draxton, wriggling like a half-dead worm on the floor. I can control things with the elves, but the issues with the vampires are going a bit out of control, their desire for me is very evident in how I move.

I keep myself at bay and sometimes avoid many interactions with the vampires, especially the girls. But even then, I have a lot of vampire girls who are committed, if not stalking me, trying to get to me and more, their primal urges within their core calling out for me, and that is

something I canʼt control much at all.

ʼUnless I step into the Imperial rank.ʼ

This thought made me frown for a moment, my eyes moving forth to focus on the large glass wall, showing the beautiful scenery of the city spread out in front of me. Several beautiful places and structures that can rival or even surpass the building I am on spread before me, the beautiful blue sky just a reach away from me.

The clouds above floated beautifully in the sky, while the air and mana around me would be addicting to the rest, what lay in front of me being the greatest free city in the world. A utopia the common men and women dream of stepping their foot on. Just reaching this city means that you have succeeded in life.

Living here means that you are in the top 1% in the whole wide world, and having power over here means you are one of the leaders in the world. A smile graced my lips as I saw the spread. Itʼs not like I do not wish to step into the Imperial rank. The power shift and control I will have when I reach that rank will be on another level.

But even stepping into it is not easy. To get into the half-step Imperial, I need to find my ʼwillʼ first. The will refers to the ability to use your greatest inner will to shift the world rules around you. Thatʼs the beginning base before you can use your own will to shift it into a domain you can use. Thus, the ʼwillʼ is the first thing to conquer.

The will that I use is something that is found from all the work done around. Itʼs the hardened understanding of oneself, the ease of your mental state, and the greater understanding of yourself. Itʼs something that is earned from risking your life around the world, and itʼs something that naturally awakens in you.

ʼMany die searching for their own will.ʼ

And in truth, I have already awakened my ʼwillʼ a long time ago, the ability to shift the worldly laws around me, to change them. Itʼs something I keep at heart. Itʼs the same thing for all, but the power of your will depends on your mind, and while it was fragile on its own in the beginning, I have raised it to be the best there is.

ʼItʼs because of this, in a sense, that Zelda could be said to have gone easy on me in our fight.ʼ

Back at the fight within the War Council, the one that I did with my disguise and the one where a lot of face-slapping happened, Zelda had gone easy on me. Itʼs said in life that your will only awakens when you reach the peaks of Origin Level 10, and the reason for that is because it is said that only then would a person understand themselves.

After all, only after going through a long journey, fighting your way through and standing at the peak after being powerless would one come to understand themselves. But that also doesnʼt mean there havenʼt been people who have awakened their will before that.

And as a reincarnator, Zelda could have wielded it, that ability to push your will against the world to change it to meet your demands. And I can do it, too. Of course, the ones who have done it before reaching Origin Level 10 are the greatest legends of the world, the ones that reign over the city and, in a sense, this world.

Yes, even with the will I have, I havenʼt taken the step to be an Imperial. Heck, I havenʼt pushed the will against my built tower, connecting it with my mind realm and forming a single connection because thatʼs how you become a half-step Imperial.

Everyone has their mind realm, a powerful mental world you have created on your own. It exists with you, and it will open up to you once you have filled your tower and reached the 10- level height. No one knows how and why, but thatʼs how the world works. When it opens up, it shows you the greatest stability.

The way to take the next step is to believe in yourself and use your will to connect your mind and the inner structure tower you have built. Once thatʼs done, you would be said to be a person at the half-step Imperial, capable of bringing your mental world to the outside, influencing it, and giving you a certain mini-domain.

And then comes you breaking your entire tower, moulding it into a single slate as you combine your mind and the tower into a single entity after the connection, thus finally placing you into an Imperial, breaking you out of your mortal shell, boosting your power and your life, bringing you into a whole new world.

ʼNot as easy as it sounds, though.ʼ

I mused about the complications that can happen while this is infinite. Trying to break into an Imperial without your enlightenment on the law you have chosen to embrace into your domain would lead to certain death, which still hasnʼt stopped several half-imperials from doing it, many risking their lives this way.

When you have reached the end of your life almost and still havenʼt got that enlightenment, it means your life is getting over. And to the ones that have tasted that top power, it will be close to impossible to give up that superiority you feel. Thus, they would push to join without the enlightenment, hoping to get it during the life-and-death match for ascension.

And in a sense, some do, while many die. That is why the law stone is something that would cause a bloodbath whenever it appears in the world-the very law stone that I had given to my very dear aunt. Else, who knows how long it would have taken Mira?

ʼI can take the step whenever I want to.ʼ

Yet I havenʼt done it yet. Many reasons exist, the major one being the fact that once I reach the Imperial realm, it wonʼt be a simple case of hiding things from the world. The truly powerful will know, and hiding it wonʼt be easy. And the many future quests or realms I want to go through, being in the Imperial realm wonʼt allow it to happen.

In a sense, taking that step forward will only be a drawback for me and will cause me to change most of my plans. Thankfully, the connect function that allows me to borrow the powers helps me for now, but that also doesnʼt mean I will be stuck at this peak for a long time. I already have some law stones with me that I can use at any time.

The only issue would be using the enlightenment I get to choose the type of domain and control I should have over this world because the options I have are wide, and my gut tells me it will only continue to grow.

ʼBut I feel as if a domain still exists for me.ʼ

Itʼs a thought, a feeling as if a long-lost something was calling for me, but that feeling disappears as it comes to me. Thus, I shook the thought I had for a moment, my eyes gazing through the beauty in front of me as I felt a quake in my chest. This feeling is something I am very used to, a fluffy feeling I slept with in my sleep, a name coming at the tip of my tongue.

ʼLuna...ʼ

Just as I thought of this, the city shook, the world seemed to be shaking, pressure like no other filling up the whole place. And the moment I blinked my eyes, a thought filled my mind, a thought that filled the mind of every living thing at that single moment.

A guttural rumble rolled from the wolfʼs chest, rising like a storm from deep within its core. The sound started low, almost a growl, vibrating the air around it. Then, it exploded into a fearsome roar, piercing with savage power. The cry echoed across the world, a primal declaration of dominance and fury, each note dripping with ancient strength. The world stilled in its wake, as though even nature itself had paused to acknowledge the beastʼs call to

the world.

”HOOOWLLLLLL!!”

The roar shook the world, the divine beast Fenrir is back.
