The Conquerors Path

Chapter 780: Chapter 778-The End Goal.

ʼSome things never change, do they?ʼ

I laughed inwardly as I saw the ʼnewʼ task in front of me, a small chuckle leaving me as the flashes of the past now connected with the present, the system screen in front of me displaying the same words I had read all those years ago when I first opened my eyes to this world, and now I am seeing it again, yet now itʼs for different reasons.

The quest had changed, and in a way, so has the goal in front of me, too. The only way I will be complete, the only way that I donʼt just suddenly die off or have my whole existence stop, is to finish the quest that I had started all those times ago, and now, in a way, I am reaching toward the end of that same goal. Itʼs far yet near.

As said before, the correct count of how many girls or capture targets there are isnʼt exactly known. With there being the three protagonists, the range of women we get to deal with is huge, and there will always be updates on the women or capture list that keep coming up; hence, the real count or list of the women is always in question.

And in truth, even if I didnʼt show it, that was the part that was bugging me the most and keeping me on my toes. I mean, just how many more would I have to keep trying? Just how many girls should I keep tiptoeing around until I put an end to all this? That is the main question that has been running in my mind for years, and now, in a sense, I have the exact idea of where I should stop to finally be able to become whole and get rid of the guillotine hanging over my head.

My eyes narrowed as I floated within this galaxy, my eyes reading through the quest in front of me. At the same time, my mind, now upon the divine, worked faster and more complexly than any mortal or even divine can come close to understanding. The number of women Iʼve worked with till now and am still targeting flashed in my mind.

The names and women who are the real targets went through, starting from my family, the number began with Nora, Elda, and Mira and then moved towards Olivia. Then my mind flashed towards Carmel, Ella, Catherine, Marlene, Sonia, Shira (who is now Zoe), Sabrina, Angelina, Isabella, Celestinia, Emily, Zora, Nyla, Lanora, Eleanor and Nathalia.

Then there are the easier ones I have kept fully loyal to me, like Sana, Rina, and even Emma, the three of them having simpler and easier ways to get while helping and getting Emma results in the player gaining the loyalty of Mark.

Clara, Mika, and Rika are the ones that I got on the way; their presence is a happy thing I appreciate. Then there is the new one I found, like Zelda, and then this so-called regressor that has arrived, being Tria, whom I am slowly starting to understand more, and beyond that, there are still some more that I have yet to work on.

There is the so-called lion princess, Nell, whom I, in a sense, have dealt with; sheʼs also a capture target within the game. Just with the known ones that I have contact with, it adds up to a list of about 25, and among them, there are many that I have yet to even seal the deal with, which I am not fretting over as I have time dealing with them and many plans in motion too.

But the situation isnʼt even over yet. From the beginning till now, I have been walking blind, not being able to see up to the fact of where the end goal ends, and now I am coming to see where the goal lies, and itʼs all, in a sense, coming clear to me. I have also understood why these so-called protagonists are being targeted by the system and why I must get these girls before the protagonists do.

Thanks to now becoming divine, I can see upon some new laws of fate guiding this world, and itʼs showing me parts and reasons for why the situation is even coming to be.

ʼThough who would think itʼs something like this?ʼ

A chuckle left my mouth as I focused on the much more important issue. Even leaving aside the capture targets themselves, I still also have a lot of different women who are my own that I have to deal with. The main reason doesnʼt matter much now; what matters is the fact that I make sure things lead in the perfect way from now on.

ʼSo the question is, what is the total number for me to get in my hands?ʼ

ʼ80 that is said to be the real limitation of the capture targets in the game. I have barely even begun to scratch the surface of that.ʼ

The game, in a sense, is an erotic one, which means there arenʼt just the powerful girls for me to take; there are also some of the milf characters and powerful women out there that are needed for capturing, just like my Mira and Eleanor, who are also within the capture list target, and I have still yet to catch up into that more mature list.

There are three teachers I have yet to lay my hands on within the academy, some powerful characters that should pop up here and there that I have to seduce, each of them with their own levels that I have to get. This includes all the ones that still havenʼt been found, too, which means my work is set out for me.

With the rise in my powers and my attainment of divinity, the limit of what the system can show me has now been lifted, which means that I have all-new contact with all the women I will need to seduce to reach my goal. This includes some powerful women, some even being the friends of my own teacher, Eleanor.

ʼPlus, the more focused girls of the protagonists of all three have bloomed now.ʼ

A small, wry smile filled my face as I thought of this. The truth of this is the fact that the more powerful girls that should belong to the protagonists, the truly achieving ones from the various truly powerful organisations that control empires and kingdoms, ones that hide in plain sight, ones from the war council, the powerful ones like Zelda, I still have to aim at them.

These were, in a sense, never discovered within the game because a scenario like this, one where all these powerful ones gathered here, didnʼt happen. This means the way I am playing it is the real way, which also means that the scope of the ones I should be keeping my eyes on has also increased, which is not good at all.

You have to know the fact that all these girls have a ʼfatefulʼ connection to the three protagonists, which means that I will have to try and block all of these things of fate that will be trying to get them together. I am a bit late, too, as I can see the fact that Leonardo has already formed some connection, and so did that elf bastard protagonist.

The other one from the demon realm is already gearing up, too, with him also having formed two connections, which means my work is cut out for me in a very large manner. While I target these girls and keep them away, I will also have to work on my current situation and also go for the ones that are still not touched yet.

Not to mention the fact that I will also have to focus on my current situation, with several girls I am currently dealing with and the more powerful Celestinia that is coming to play her script to get my heart, which is a dangerous game that could harm the ones around me.

ʼAlso, I donʼt like the fact that everything around me is being controlled.ʼ

The face of Luna passed through my mind, the situation thatʼs now coming to be that it was no coincidence at all. After all, why did I meet Luna? Why did I end up saving the reincarnation of Fenrir, who should have died?

ʼIt was for the very moment I awaken.ʼ

My gaze sharpened at that thought. If it wasnʼt for Luna at that appropriate moment of helping me out, my mentality would have surely collapsed, leading to my death, yet she arrived at the perfect moment, and she became the true key to my rise in divinity. If she wasnʼt in my life for me to tell the truth to, could I have ever risen to this position?

If she wasnʼt close to me at the time I went through my fight, would I have survived? In the end, Luna was just a key, a piece that was created for me to finally awaken and latch onto my divinity. And as I thought of that, a deep red, corrupting light burned in my hand, such a pure corruption that I would be banned by this world the moment I showed this to them.

After all, with this power of mine, I am now capable of corrupting others, making them fall into corruption...
