Surviving The Fourth Calamity

The change of Ambori is not necessarily a bad thing.

Although the original arrangement is not ideal, at least it won’t collapse because of her.

However, it still leaves many Toril deities regretful... Why doesn’t Agleya want to come to Toril?

After all, this kind-hearted lady won’t let Ambori completely annihilate herself, so the marine law of Toril remains in the hands of our people.

No one cares about the forests because in the minds of many Toril deities, the Goddess of the Earth is not as useful as Ambori.

Moreover, they are well aware that the Natural Divine System was brought back by Shantia to protect herself from Shaer... Look, even Ambori, who is so foolish, knows not to invite wolves to her home!

Ambori’s stupidity lies in her inability to see who is the wolf; she can only see the surface level.

But Shantia, how could she not understand the consequences of inviting the Forest Deity System into Toril?

The idea that the appearance of the Father of the Forest is due to the arrival of the elves... Haha~ Anmur and the Mulholland Pantheon also appeared as a whole in Toril!

What happened in the end?

Talos is a different matter entirely; Gewoosh controls the appearance, not that he himself became the Storm God of Toril.

These beliefs, these divine rights, are not something he can carry to himself.

Once he is exposed, these things naturally return to Toril, either Talos is resurrected or a second generation Storm God is born.

Absolutely no transfer of Toril’s Power of Laws to Gewoosh itself.

But the Forest Deity System truly belongs to that foreign old tree.

Although AO eventually also created some world-specific deities to separate the divinity and divine nature of the Forest Deity System, the Father of the Forest indeed has a portion of Toril’s principle sovereignty.

This is all thanks to Shantia and the Mara she birthed together!

The integration and exchange between the earth and forest is the reason why that big tree, relying solely on a shadow, becomes the leader of the Natural Divine System of Toril.

Therefore, it’s no surprise to anyone that AO created a Greek Goddess of the Hunt.

This only proves that now Shantia, who is striving to cooperate with her former lover to revive Mara, really disgusts the God Above Gods.

To play herself to such an extent as the Goddess of the Earth... Shantia certainly created a miracle.

Even Hill has no sympathy for her outcome... From his attitude toward Aesces, it can be seen that Hill actually has a little incense feeling toward beings of the same earth attribute.

However, the more one understands, the more one despises her.

One could say that Hill also lent a hand in Shantia’s current situation, where her divinity is about to be completely divided, leaving her only a little face skin.

Originally, Shantia, upon realizing that she was utterly alone and without any future, approached Lansendel, who was heavily affected, feeling depressed, and doubting everything from the past, and used some sweet talk, eventually birthing the Goddess of Agriculture with him.

Then, she gained a bit of time to linger... It was the existence AO hoped to see.

And that rare appearance in Toril’s history of a gentle, responsible, and principled Goddess of Agriculture slightly restrained many hands extended toward Shantia.

Therefore in the original history, Mount Olympia of the Greek Pantheon did not fall to the current situation... If Zeus were still around, AO would surely not want Athena and the others.

Everyone knows, they don’t have any positive feelings for Zeus.

However, they still diligently guarded the gates for Zeus, naturally because some crucial control was in the hands of that Greek Sky deity.

Well... And then, the special primordial power possessed by the Greek Pantheon falls into the eyes of the Abyss and Devils, which technically has nothing to do with Hill... The Undead Tribe did it, but it seems it cannot be said that Hill has nothing to do with it.

Anyway, those three Greek gods have basically completely detached from the Greek Pantheon, becoming part of the Three Gods of Toril... This is an entry, they will not take any Laws away from Toril.

There is no problem for foreign pantheons to enter the Toril Pantheon, just like Tyr!

But they do not accept beings like the Father of the Forest, who are still in other universes and just opened a belief territory in Toril.

That implies that Toril’s fate has unjustifiably been divided.

Hence, for every Path of Destiny, Shantia almost never participates, but always ends up entangled inexplicably.

Mara is indeed annoying, but his main annoyance is not toward mortals or the Elf Deity System... Considering the selfishness and self-interest of Toril deities, how could everyone want to eliminate him?

He must die because he is the Father of the Forest’s tentacle reaching into Toril.

That is why the old tree root risks exposing Mara’s relationship with him, risks everyone knowing that those Evil Druids are indeed associated with him, and endeavors to revive Mara.

Even though Mara is gone, he can still obtain a portion of Toril’s fate, given that he is already acknowledged as the Father of the Forest by Toril.

The acknowledgment and connection of the Goddess of the Earth are enough to make every newly born life assume this fact, especially the flora and fauna.

But, it was almost like a small stream turned into a dried-up spring that couldn’t drip out a drop for half a day.

So, the father of the forest going mad was quite normal... and it made Shantia’s extremely cooperative behavior even more loathsome.

The fact that AO tolerated her until now to take action already confirmed that Shantia was indeed closely tied to the planet Toril.

Thus, the lands and oceans of Toril ended up in their current state.

On the land, divinity systems were indeed abundant, but no one could truly possess the leading power of the land.

Perhaps Shaer’s control over the land was stronger than these earth gods.

The most troublesome divine system that made Toril deities unhappy, was overshadowed by a bow-wielding Goddess of the Hunt... those large animals that would recklessly charge into human society, killing rampantly, probably couldn’t return without injury any longer.

The existence of the Goddess of the Hunt would inevitably make Toril commoners madly supportive... especially those in agriculture and hunting.

And on the sea, there was a protector of navigational routes, a guardian of commerce.

Along with the potential replacement for Valkin in the form of Apollo... Hill later realized, that guy favored commercial law over strict legislation.

There wouldn’t be any conflict with Tyr, but it would significantly affect Valkin.

Speaking of which, among the Greek Triad, the only one who could easily settle down was Athena, while the opponent was still flaunting in Toril.

No choice, even though Ambori lived like a person now, the past memories were too profound... so much so that even the ever-realistic Toril people, when worshipping the ocean, were still willing to chant a bit about Agleya from some unknown world.

’Lu Huayu’ insisted on having Ambori go to the new world to solidify her new image, and finally ’invited’ her to personally lead Shark-head to develop the new continent, all stemmed from this.

He genuinely didn’t expect that Cyric could, within one or two years, establish a title associated with ’beauty,’ even allowing him to find a position among the Goddess of Love and Beauty, while Ambori was still like that...

Indeed, shamelessness is invincible.

Ambori’s actions over the years have almost been ingrained in the Toril people’s genes, making them spit on the ground at the mere mention of her name.

’Lu Huayu’ has truly invested a lot these years, only managing to keep Ambori’s image in a barely acceptable state... and all of this, was because he swiftly pledged allegiance to the Proud Sky Alliance.

When you get down to it, the force that rampages unopposed on the Toril Ocean is mainly the Proud Sky Alliance.

Metal Dragons don’t care much which family they belong to, but they mostly take missions from Agleya... and the Platinum Dragonkin there, those who are friendly, are mostly part of the Proud Sky Alliance.

No choice, they naturally follow Terry’s path.

Terry has always been lazy about meddling in trivial matters, so his friendliness is directly calculated according to Hill.

And Hill, the best-related force with the Undead Tribe is the Proud Sky Alliance.

Even though he later opened mood to the public domain, but... the gap is still very big.

Then, it’s Black Rose and the Chromatic Dragon.

Youth Journey of the Wenjian World and Mercury Dragon.

In between, various odd dragons are interspersed, each with their own inclinations, each with their own friends, but ultimately they can’t escape the Proud Sky Alliance.

Wanting to secretly make money, Chromatic Dragons naturally go find Black Rose, but they’re the only ones there who would take it.

The White Dragons on the northern Ice Plain of Toril, although almost seemed to be given to Mystra, everyone accepted that agreement, and it’s only that one group.

Other regions and other worlds still have White Dragons, but they remain as pure Chromatic Dragons.

Of course, even if the Chromatic Dragon Queen wanted to send them, Edna wouldn’t want them!

Her tolerance towards that group of White Dragons is based on them being descendants of her own friends.

Thus, in the eyes of Chromatic Dragons, Black Rose is the most trustworthy Undead Tribe... they know the Undead Tribe’s reputation is high and wouldn’t break contracts easily, but the Chromatic Dragons’ biggest fear is suddenly being ’exterminated for evil.’

The Chromatic Dragons have reached the limit of shamelessness, yet humans can still take advantage and turn on them openly afterward.

Not likely to breed White Dragons, let alone breed so many families, definitely not.

This has nothing to do with Mystra... Before she ascended to the Divine Throne, White Dragons already became the contract partners of Black Rose!

Isn’t this credible enough?

No dragon feels less popular than a White Dragon.

Moreover, although the Lord of Agleya is terrifying, he doesn’t welcome evil forces entering his territory... but he genuinely doesn’t care about the dragons themselves!

At least, they won’t be interested in Dragon Skin, Dragon Heart, Dragon Tendons.

The Lord of Agleya could definitely do it... He’s the one who, during the Magicplague period, could slaughter a giant dragon barehanded!
