Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Even if Wunuoou doesn’t think Ambori is as incompetent as other Toril Deities do... always messing things up, he would probably worry about what extent Ambori could achieve when facing the task of transforming a desert into a rainforest.

This kind of weather change throughout the continent must be accomplished the moment they enter Lalakond.

Otherwise, if other deities involve themselves, some things may become unmanageable.

Like the Dwarves.

Those guys haven’t reacted yet, only because they don’t particularly like the sea. Of course, they’re also a bit apprehensive about unexplored sea routes.

But as soon as they discover how rich the mineral resources are on this New Continent... no matter the Dwarf race, they’d flock there madly.

Even if it requires drinking themselves into a stupor to board the magic ship.

And to these Dwarves, they would absolutely not accept Utao’s plan to transform this continent entirely into tropical rainforests and swamps... Dwarf’s logic has always been extreme.

Even though it’s Utao who came first here and has been pushing this transformation, they would just consider Utao as infringing on their interests.

Utao certainly isn’t afraid of these Dwarves, even if they could bring Moradin behind them, he wouldn’t be worried.

But he absolutely doesn’t want to directly fall into war before everything settles down.

If it wasn’t for Heim’s death, he wouldn’t even dare to just come over... but those slave traders and ocean merchants won’t endure for long.

They would eventually come.

And once they arrive, the simple contest between his followers and the Dwarves would inevitably escalate into a racial dispute.

Utao, during those years in Chult, had seen too much of this.

He had already become part of Chult’s flora, how could he not notice those schemes and intrigues?

Those powerful tribes worshipping him disappearing one by one were certainly in his eyes as well.

But what could he do?

As a defeated one, he was like a half-prisoner who couldn’t even pretend that the Shadow swallowing by Shaer never happened, he even had to show the attitude of ’Aishdo was annoying and thank goodness Shaer took him down.’

But that was Utao’s shadow!

Which capable deity would allow their dark side to be swallowed by others?

Hill doesn’t even need to think much to know how much this impact could have on the Dinosaur God... hearing Mystra’s name, Shaer would roll her eyes, but for others trying to bypass Shaer and directly take that fellow down, give it a try?

Unceasing struggle is normal.

Otherwise, Cyric wouldn’t just want to turn the Thief God who betrayed him into a madman.

Chasing Mask wouldn’t only have a dog without intelligence.

No one needs to kill him just because Shaer is watching from the shadows... otherwise, with the Thief God’s always getting into trouble attitude, willing to provoke anyone, he would’ve long been dead.

But Utao fears only beings like Shaer.

He pretended to be dead for so many years in Chult just because he didn’t yet have formal resident status in Toril.

But now, he does.

He surely won’t allow his good life to be discounted right from the start.

Though afterward, his New Continent will undoubtedly welcome many so-called explorers, at least by then, he wouldn’t need to be so cautious.

Therefore, he would surely be a bit concerned about whether Ambori can instantly turn this continent’s dry climate into wet.

He has certainly heard Ambori’s reputation.

Just not witnessing it firsthand, so Utao dares to bet.

But apart from Ambori, the great dinosaur can’t find any other suitable Water Deity to cooperate with.

Would his reputation be any better than Ambori’s?

He was once one of the Wild Gods invading Toril!

Other than Ambori who even moved his Divine Kingdom back to Toril, other deities definitely plan to observe for a while before deciding to liaise with this great dinosaur.

Then, when the fear-inducing Goddess of the Sea introduced by the always reliable Olypher arrives, Hill believes that even if it requires Utao to relinquish a portion of land, or have the continent’s climate change from tropical to subtropical, he would gladly agree.

At least, Olypher at his strongest could instantly freeze half a continent!

Simply letting cold winds and cold rains blow across Lalakond, while cooperating with Ambori as well!

This guy may not be great in other aspects, but his wide-ranging storms should be fine!

For Utao, whose followers are currently relatively few and his power slightly diminished, this is the best outcome.

At any rate, his followers currently don’t need that much territory... with the reproductive skills of the Lizardfolk and Serpent People, they probably won’t need to consider such issues for tens of thousands of years.

Additionally, he has a major advantage teaming up with Ambori and Olypher: the Undead Tribe.

The Undead Tribe above the Great Sea is a major trouble.

Of course, for those who only wish to sail properly, these Undead Tribe are fine aside from causing a bit of trouble.

But for those wanting to expand their forces, trying to bypass these nearly omnipresent Half-Elves genuinely seems impossible.

Take a look at the pirates from the Little Sakura Empire, famous for hiding!

Even those obscure islands in corners, where even sea creatures have a hard time finding, the Undead Tribe just somehow manages to dig them up.

No wonder they truly are deathless!

Moreover, they’re really wealthy.

So, the more dangerous the place, the more you should go there.

No amount of reefs, no matter how terrifying the whirlpools, can stop them from crashing ships and people together into it.

What normal person would do such a boring thing?

Even the cheapest magic ship costs over a hundred thousand gold.

But the Undead Tribe is truly exploring every dangerous spot in the Great Sea.

AO just had to take away Athena for this reason... At this rate, the people connected to the ocean in Toril will probably be just regular sailors and merchant ships left.

Then, the warships that can’t be sold will naturally disappear.

And, when the Undead Tribe leaves Toril, will anyone know how to fight at sea?

Of course, another very important point is the deity posing as the Sailor God who appeared in Chult back then.

He already became particularly weak because his avatar was devoured... This one had just risen to faint divine power, and the avatar is really important to him.

Then, once sailors who love fighting waves no longer exist, with the Divine Kingdom closing and falling asleep, he will likely end up in the Stellar Realm in a deep sleep.

Deities like him appear for a reason.

AO definitely wouldn’t want him to just disappear.

Thus, only if the ocean remains an adventurer’s paradise, the Toril people will be willing to risk their lives to continue down this path.

Utao dared to enter the New Continent like this without worrying about any dissatisfaction from AO, probably because he saw this point.

Actually, many Toril Deities have noticed it too.

Isn’t it no surprise that Lansendel and Celene also find AO’s emphasis on the Greek Triad somewhat intriguing!

As long as Utao makes the New Continent the new land of aspiration for the Toril people, AO definitely won’t mind his little selfishness.

Originally, such good things usually belonged to Heim... But he went and died!

And everyone knows it’s the kind of death where he’s not coming back for a long time.

But knowing is one thing, whereas Utao still doesn’t want to provoke the Undead Tribe.

Let Athena take care of competing with the Undead Tribe, he just manages the construction of his own continent.

However, there’s one point... He inevitably will give Athena’s followers who come to his continent to build a new homeland some convenience.

That makes things a bit awkward.

How should he explain to the Undead Tribe?

Even though the Undead Tribe does not have AO behind them, but with Edna Mistrala and Lansendel, and even Tyr and Coron, can Utao really handle them?

Besides, AO certainly won’t appear openly.

At this time, he will need Ambori and Olypher, who have close relationships with the Undead Tribe, to help push the situation slightly.

As long as the Undead Tribe understands that it’s not Utao who wants to make trouble for them.

Hill tilted his head thoughtfully and suddenly sighed: ”The Road Eunuch is truly... far-sighted~”

He recalled.

Many from ’Huayu’ and the Last-Era Clan couldn’t enter Agleya’s Inner City!

They also couldn’t stay at the port hotel.

The Undead Tribe doesn’t actually need sleep, they just need a safe place to log off.

Even the poorest Undead Tribe member would have a space tent on hand.

All they need is a safe place.

So, at that time, Hill didn’t find it strange that the Last-Era Clan had their safe zone near the large cathedral along the road from Agleya to Luskan owned by Olypher’s followers.

Because during those years of Baal’s children emerging endlessly, only Olypher’s half-ruined cathedral remained on that road.

After all, Neverwinter City was completely gone.

The Chief Steward Lu originally chose that place not necessarily for any particular reason, but even after he linked up with Ambori, it’s still there... Ambori would surely tell him some things from the past. The Road Eunuch must know that back then, Olypher and Ambori had a good relationship, and the Winter Maiden warned Ambori multiple times to be cautious of Talos.

It’s just that Ambori’s intelligence was indeed not adequate.

But this guy wasn’t without any merit either; at least, Ambori didn’t betray Olypher.

She liked to curry favor with Talos so much, even had a bit of jealousy towards Talos’s enthusiasm for Olypher, yet never brought these things into the open.

She simply turned against Olypher unilaterally.

Although it made her look quite foolish, at least, from Olypher’s perspective, Ambori still, reluctantly, counts as a friend.

Shaer glanced at him: ”Even though his skills are quite good, Snow Cloud Peak is still better, right?”

Hill shook his head and smiled: ”But, Snow Cloud Peak also wouldn’t easily stand under someone else.

Lu Huayu has many shortcomings, and his way of doing things tends to be delicate, but he can make use of those who have power but lack capability.

Everyone has their own path; as long as it’s the right path, don’t worry about how he walks it~”
