Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 547: Guidance

Nathan couldnʼt help but smile after seeing Fenrirʼs performance. Even if his strength was weaker, Fenrir was still Fenrir. He knew he could rely on him.

That was why he had to kill the alien in front of him as quickly as possible… even though that was impossible, because he had never really had the intention of killing the one in front of him.

Instead, his eyes kept shifting to the battlefield on the right side. It was Brunhild. She was facing a three-meter (9.8-foot) tall elephant-like alien. The elephant waved its three tentacle-like trunks toward her, one hitting the ground and the other two hitting all the trees around her.

Brunhild fortunately avoided the attack. Instead of flying, she thought forcing the alien to attack the ground would be beneficial, considering it would make other aliens die as well.

Even though Nathan had told them to ignore these aliens, there was no difference between fighting on the ground and in the air. Hence, since fighting on the ground brought more benefits, she decided to do it this way.

Seeing his attack missed, the elephant slammed the trunks downward this time.

Brunhild chose to avoid it between the two trunks, but to her surprise, the third trunk suddenly appeared above her as though the alien had baited her with the other two.

A magic circle appeared behind her as her spear started to glow. She hit the trunk from below, their clash turning the ground underneath her into a crater. However, she managed to knock the trunk away.

When the alien wanted to use the two trunks beside her to pinch her, thirty explosive bullets suddenly rained down the left trunk.

Boom!

The series of explosions caused the left trunk to move away uncontrollably.

”!!!” Brunhild couldnʼt help but glance to the side, noticing Nathan was actually coming to help. It wasnʼt that he was trying to win against his opponent. He just used enough strength to stop the mature class alien while using the rest of that power to help others.

In the end, Nathan had no element or high offensive power like Selena, so this was the only thing he could do.

”I donʼt know much about martial arts, but you have been fighting a little too straightforwardly. Let me help you a bit,” Nathan shouted.

Brunhild also noticed that with the left trunk out of the picture, there was only the right trunk coming toward her. As a result, she swung her spear upward while flying up, extending the blade of her spear and cutting the trunk.

It wasnʼt enough to cut everything, but it was deep enough to cause severe bleeding.

”…” Brunhild wanted to say something, but the words stuck in her throat. With Nathan in the lead, the battle changed rapidly.

She followed a small bullet coming toward her before curving upward as if asking her to fly higher.

As soon as they crossed over the elephant, the latter hurriedly raised its head and sent forth all the tentacles coming out of its back.

It would be hard for Brunhild to escape from all of them, but this was when 20 bullets reinforced her. Each of them struck a single tentacle.

What was more shocking was the fact that they hit all the tentacles on the left. It was as if Nathan was saying, ʼEven though there are a lot of them, all you have to do is focus on them and move fast enough that the rest canʼt catch up.ʼ

Brunhild couldnʼt waste this opportunity. She flew to the left side. With the bullets hitting them, the tentacles couldnʼt move for a moment. Some were even pierced by those bullets.

With them in the groggy state, Brunhild passed through them and swung her spear in a circle, cutting down all those tentacles.

After that, the bullet guided her to the left side of the body and stopped right at the left leg, asking her to stab it.

Brunhild followed his instruction and stabbed this leg with her spear. At the same time, the tentacles above her that were supposed to catch up were actually having a hard time reaching her, giving enough time for the next instruction.

To her surprise, the bullet actually flew down.

ʼHuh? Does he want me to drag my spear down to extend the wound? No, wait…ʼ Brunhild noticed the plan. ʼI just have to fly downward. That wasnʼt possible before, but now…ʼ

Brunhild released her magic circle, which amplified her power. In addition, the spear was slightly extended with her ena.

As Nathan instructed, she flew down and lacerated the entire leg. After that, she hid underneath the elephant, which forced the elephant to choose whether to crush her by lowering his body or move away.

The elephant chose the former. Brunhild then flew to the other side since the tentacles had to go around first if they wanted to chase her. She thought Nathan wanted her to attack this side, but he surprised her once more when the bullet suddenly turned around.

”!!!” Brunhild was as confused as the alien. However, now that the alien had retracted its tentacles, there was nothing other than the huge laceration wound on this side.

The bullet then stopped on its body, asking her to thrust it.

Brunhild was astounded. She used her full strength, coupled with her magic, to stab the body and released a burst of ena.

Because the alien was lowering its body, its foundation had become a bit unstable, which helped her in knocking the alienʼs body to the side.

Bam!

She had never thought fighting was this easy. In the past, she had always fought head-on, which was honorable. However, there was no need to do so against aliens.

ʼHe is manipulating the alienʼs movement to give me an advantage in battle. And now that the alien falls down…ʼ There was no need for Nathan to continue, as she had already seen through what she had to do next.

ʼGrand Cross.ʼ She landed on top of the body and cut it in an ʼXʼ shape, deep enough for the blood to spurt like a fountain.

To avoid it, the alien sent the tentacles and the trunks toward her. However, she noticed that one trunk was much faster than the other. As a result, it became a perfect target for her.

ʼToo weak.ʼ Brunhild swiftly swung her spear, extending the blade to cut the trunk completely.

”Reee!”

While getting away from other trunks and tentacles, she couldnʼt help but glance at Nathan, realizing how easy it was to fight.

Little did they know, Asmodeus was watching them from far away with a mischievous smile on his face.
