Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 478: Innate Ability (Bonus)

”Innate ability?” Nathan tilted his head in confusion.

”Innate ability, ah?” Vivian nodded in understanding. ”Yes. There are people who are born with an innate ability. However, itʼs an extremely rare phenomenon.

”I have read this once in a book. According to the current record, there are only three cases where a person has an innate ability.”

”Three cases? That rare?” Nathan gasped.

Charlotte explained, ”Yes. Even if thereʼs a record, I donʼt think there will be much knowledge about it.

”I know the first two. The first person to have the innate ability was the Hero Mikhail Havengard. He was the leader of the first resistance against the aliens 500 years ago. It was said that Mikhail Havengard could recover the peopleʼs condition with this innate ability.

”There wasnʼt a lot of record about it, but he ended up becoming the first Pope. His last will allowed the creation of the Holy Kingdom.

”The second person was from my generation, Luvia Elia Ariesta. It was hard to see her in person, but I had seen her actually wielding the combination of three elements. She was also the first confirmed case of a person to have three lifebound familiars.”

Vivian raised a finger. ”The third person is still alive. He is Elysion Aquamoon, the current strongest person in the world, who also has three lifebound familiars.

”No one knows about his innate ability yet, but itʼs said that this innate ability allows him to become the current strongest.”

”There is such a person? I want to meet him and interview him.” Charlotteʼs expression brightened.

”He will kill me.” Vivian waved her hand. ”Maybe if itʼs possible in the future.”

”Fine.” Charlotte chuckled.

Nathanʼs expression turned grim. If this was indeed rare but could still happen, that meant the two would accept his explanations. And it was also a way for him to understand more about the soul contract.

In addition, Vivian was his teacher, so he could trust her while she would be understanding.

Besides, there was one explanation about the disappearance of his ena. That was right. What if all that ena was used up to actually activate his innate ability?

Nathan took a deep breath before asking, ”Teacher… What if thereʼs a fourth person to have an innate ability?”

”Huh? What are you talking about? This is an extremely rare case that only happens every few centuri…” Vivian fell silent while Charlotteʼs body was trembling. Vivian gasped, ”You…”

Nathan raised his hand, forming a blank contract.

Vivian took a step back. She was in utter shock. However, when she thought about it, the beasts themselves were weird. What if Nathanʼs innate ability would result in the change of his familiars? If everything could be explained by his innate ability, it would mean she had discovered everything about Nathan. But what if the innate ability was completely independent from the summoning?

Charlotteʼs reaction was different from Vivianʼs. She jumped on Nathan and pushed him to the ground with a drool leaking out of the corner of her mouth.

”Darling… My dear husband. Take out your saliva, give your blood, and donate your sperm… I need to check everything. No, wait. I mean, letʼs kiss and do a medical checkup before copulating!”

Charlotteʼs eyes were filled with desire. If no one stopped her, the consequences would be fatal.

Nathan shouted, ”Master!”

Vivian held Charlotte from behind. ”Stop it.”

”Stop? What do you mean, ”Stop!”? How can I stop? Do you know how rare it is to have an innate ability? The other guy is already the worldʼs strongest, so itʼs close to impossible to get him. But the fourth person is my dear husband!”

Vivianʼs eyebrows twitched. ”I know, I know. Just calm down for a moment. Or should I forcefully recall you back?”

Charlotteʼs body froze. She couldnʼt help but stop and look at Nathan with pleading eyes.

Nathan, on the other hand, let out a sigh of relief.

Vivian observed Nathan while saying, ”Still, this is not a small matter. An innate ability, huh? Now that I think about it, the report about you having an enormous ena before you become a summoner… Does this mean the disappearance of your ena is related to the awakening of your innate ability? This is the only possible reason for the disappearance of your ena… not that I can prove that an innate ability needs to be awakened.”

”How much ena are you talking about?” Charlotte blinked a few times.

”I donʼt know. However, the report is said to be a lot. Much more than Selenaʼs. I donʼt know the exact amount, but Selena was supposed to have around 1,500 ena at the start. Nathan should have at least multiple times of hers.”

Charlotte had gotten this information during the summoning, so she couldnʼt help but fall into a deep thought. ”An innate ability that requires a lot of ena to get activated? But is the innate ability not activated from the start? There is no record of it because no one has really thought about such a possibility.

”But what does his ability have anything to do with his blood? His blood is like a tonic for vampires. That vampire should have become a duchess right now… or maybe approaching the royal rank. Where is that vampire right now?”

”Blood? What blood are you talking about?” Vivian frowned.

”I have been donating my blood to Risa. The first time I gave her my blood, she turned into a marchioness. And during the battle against Selenaʼs older brother, she was already a duchess.” Nathan explained.

Vivian was stunned. She thought it was Selena who did all that, but she was wrong. Nathan had been the culprit this whole time.

”There are a lot of things I want to ask, but I think itʼs better to focus on your innate ability. And more like, what kind of ability is it? All I see is a blank scroll. Besides, why do you suddenly mention an innate ability? Well, I kind of understand if you want to keep it a secret even from me, so itʼs not like Iʼll blame you or something. If you donʼt want to talk, then thatʼs fine too.”

Nathan rubbed his cheek. ”My innate ability is called Soul Contract. Iʼm thinking about using my innate ability to create the cloud-repelling device.”
