Summoners: One Golden Term per Level

”Impossible!”

Pendragon looked at the spear piercing through his chest, an ominous shade of dark. It was forged from unknown materials, with a raging dark gray gas fiercely spreading out.

The surging aura of death continually eroded his divine power and divinity.

If it were any other force, his rank would be enough to block most damage.

But this spear was named the [Spear of Hades], its essence of power on par with his Sea God Trident, and among the gods, few powers could truly harm Poseidon’s essence.

Death was one such force.

But why?

In his view, his elder brother was the least ambitious, peacefully guarding the Netherworld, guarding Chronos.

Why, at this time, did he get involved here?

Hades: If I don’t get involved, I’m dead!

But no one could answer his question now, as Poseidon’s golden eyes began to dim, and the gold-red divine blood flowed continuously from the wound.

In essence, there was no suspense in this battle. Shen Fei was already not weaker than Poseidon, and he had True Martial who also wielded water supportively by his side.

Along with Jasper Pool, the Saintess, and others, could Poseidon turn the tides?

The Saintess quickly started setting up the array; after all, Poseidon was of Main God Level, and the array needed to be much more complex.

As Netherworld Butterflies rippled through the seawaters, transforming into mystical scripts, they lifted Poseidon’s massive body, with [Opportunity] and [Possibility] divine authorities intertwining continuously.

Endless divinity and rank were being extracted.

Becoming a Main God was merely one of the myriad possibilities for Shen Fei, with a very, very small probability.

But the Saintess directly anchored this possibility with divine authority, along with the help of Athena and Artemis, allowing Shen Fei to have acquired the Sea Divine Authority long before.

It was much simpler than forcibly elevating a mortal to a Main God.

A golden vortex formed visibly before Shen Fei, absorbing like a whale draws water or a bull drinks from a river.

In that moment, the irresistible devouring power swept the detached sea godly divinity into the golden vortex, tearing and dispersing it into starry specks of dust, then consuming every last bit.

The vast seawater was repelled empty by a mighty force.

Revealing the outside world, infinite starlight descended, seemingly celebrating the birth of a new god.

A grand figure stood on the brilliant staircase, slowly opening eyes filled with divine light like lightning, reflecting endless galaxies and eternal joy.

”Is this a Main God?”

Shen Fei stretched, as if nothing more; it was just equivalent to his newfound power outside Greece.

The Saintess explained, ”Even now, the faith in the ocean still lies with Poseidon. Master, if you wish to continuously grow stronger, you must spread faith.”

”The Olympus system is like this; since Zeus overwhelmed the former Titan system with this, gaining some must mean losing some.”

”However, it doesn’t matter, dealing with Poseidon is just to better cross the Aegean Sea.”

...

At the moment of Poseidon’s fall.

On Mount Olympus.

Mount Olympus hosts thirteen exceptionally grand divine halls, with three standing out even among them.

Located at the very center of Mount Olympus, they belong to Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon respectively.

Though the positions of Twelve Main Gods and Hades should be equal, compared to the rest of the gods’ divine authorities and ranks.

Like Zeus governing [Sky], Poseidon governing [Sea], and Hades governing [Netherworld], they hold tangible divine authority territories.

Far more powerful than ordinary divine spirits, in the ocean, the belief is almost entirely Poseidon’s own.

But compared to the mortal world’s population, there are too few creatures in the ocean to provide faith, thus Poseidon constantly sought to reach the land.

These three divine halls symbolize the status of the three gods in Olympus, though King of the Underworld Hades often stays in the Netherworld, and Sea King Poseidon in the sea, their halls remain on Mount Olympus.

And now.

With a ’Boom!’ sound, Poseidon’s hall suddenly collapsed, the sound echoing across Mount Olympus, startling the gods still residing there.

Meanwhile, elves and nymphs who served at the divine hall hurriedly went to report.

”Poseidon is dead?!”

Zeus, upon seeing the collapsed temple of Poseidon and sensing a part of his divine system missing, his fury erupted with countless bolts of lightning, resounding thunder roared across Mount Olympus.

”Damn it, damn it!!”

Zeus growled angrily, as Poseidon was one of his key forces in controlling the mortal world; why was it, even knowing Poseidon’s ambition, he could still permit Poseidon’s existence?

It was because Zeus, as the Divine King of the system, knew no matter how much Poseidon harbored rebellious thoughts, the suppression within the divine system would still render Poseidon unable to resist.

[Destiny] rested with him, meaning as long as the gods belonged to his system, even the combined might of the remaining eleven main gods alongside Hades couldn’t defeat him.

Or rather, as long as no new king of gods appeared, the gods of today’s Mount Olympus could hardly defeat him.

So.

He allowed Poseidon’s presence for just that; at least Poseidon would always be under his control, but now Poseidon was dead, and even the [Sea] divine authority fell into other’s hands.

The crux was.

It likely fell into the hands of the current Roman ruler. With his current hold over Mount Olympus, even if Poseidon was dead, the [Sea] divine authority should never have been easily taken away.

But coincidentally, from the Roman side, there were Hecate and Chronos; one representing the possibilities of opportunity, capable of stripping Poseidon’s divine authority and rank.

And although Chronos had been deposed, his very being had the divine king rank; as long as the enshrined met the requirements, they could be enshrined as a Main God level existence.

”Olympus, prepare for battle!”

Zeus growled, it was no longer possible to gauge Rome’s actual strength any longer, if things continued like this.

The only outcome would be watching his once-established foundation being completely stripped away, would he have to wait for the blasphemer to march on Mount Olympus?

As Zeus commanded, the nymphs and heroes residing on Mount Olympus all began their descent.

Zeus looked at Hera, ”Now Olympus is at its most perilous time, more dangerous even than the former Titan War.”

”Sister, I need your help!”

Hera listened to this long-lost address, her Majesty’s face indeed thick-skinned! Previously indifferent to her, now he yearns for her support.

”Since I am the Celestial Empress, naturally I have the duty to protect the glory of Olympus, besides Hercules worships me as Mother Goddess!

I will avenge him!”
