Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

Chapter 148: Chapter 148: I Refuse to Accept That!

”Back to the main point!”

”After entering the dungeon, the system will automatically assign you a civilian identity, which cannot be changed. Your starting location will be a city.”

”If you have allies, the system will place them nearby.”

”From there, you will be granted five hours of preparation time.”

”Personal advice: during those five hours, gather as many supplies as you can—then run, drive, or fly! Just don’t stay where you are, because the first city to sink... is the one right beneath your feet!”

”Don’t even think about trying to fight against nature. I’m not exaggerating—when it comes to natural disasters, even if your power reaches S-Rank, you won’t survive unless you can stay airborne permanently.”

”There are three main survival strategies available to everyone.”

”The first is to keep running. The world will be gradually destroyed by a series of escalating disasters that spread across the globe. If you’re fast enough, you can stay ahead of them.”

”Of course, others have tried this before—and at best, they survived for four days. By the fifth day, the entire continent will be swallowed by tsunamis, and the world will be consumed by a scorching sun. Unless you can breathe underwater, there’s nowhere left to run!”

”The second way is to find a boat and head out to sea.”

”But this path isn’t recommended. Even the smallest tsunami is over fifty meters high. Not even an aircraft carrier can survive that. Do you think your little boat stands a chance? Unless you’re unbelievably lucky, you’re just buying time before the end.”

”The third and riskiest option: get your hands on a military-grade submarine and dive deep into the ocean.”

”This task borders on impossible... but Adam managed to do it.”

”It’s said that Adam survived 17 days in this dungeon and received an A-rank evaluation!”

”The choice is yours.”

”Also, don’t expect help from any government in the Dungeon World. In a disaster of this scale, even the president is just trying to survive.”

”Of course, this editor’s guide is far from perfect. I recommend checking out other players’ guides for additional insights.”

”And lastly... good luck!”

”...”

After reading the dungeon guide, Fenric paused, slightly surprised.

Then—

He laughed!

If you asked how to survive the movie 2012, the answer was obvious: get on the Ark.

However, after checking through the forum, Fenric realized that no one seemed to know about the existence of the Ark.

Ha!

Then again, it made sense. In the movie, only world leaders were aware of the Ark Project.

According to their calculations, only 400,000 people out of the world’s 7 billion would be saved during the cataclysm.

Such a colossal, resource-draining project naturally had to be kept secret.

So even in the dungeon world, only a tiny handful would know about the Ark.

Most Samsara players would be too busy trying to stay alive to uncover that kind of hidden plot point.

”Whew...”

Fenric exhaled deeply in relief.

Tonight, he would return to challenge the dungeon once more.

The Samsara Tower using 2012 as the assessment dungeon for novices? That was brutal.

The scenario was indeed terrifying—surviving long enough to earn a high evaluation would be extremely difficult.

But for Fenric, it was manageable.

Why?

Because he knew the story.

He knew the Ark was the one and only real hope for survival in this dungeon.

The Ark—developed by the combined efforts of world powers—was engineered to withstand apocalyptic forces. It could ride out a tsunami and survive the harshest environments.

With Fenric’s current abilities, boarding the Ark would not be difficult.

”Ric, what are you grinning about?”

Jitto’s voice rang from behind.

Fenric quickly pocketed his phone and replied, ”What’s up?”

”Wanna hit the internet café after school tonight?” Jitto asked eagerly.

”Not going.” Fenric rejected him without hesitation.

How could playing games in an internet café compare to experiencing Samsara dungeons firsthand?

”C’mon, don’t shut me down right away! There’s a new game out—designed to simulate the Samsara space. It’s super popular and just hit public beta. Wanna check it out?”

Fenric scoffed. ”If you could enter a real Samsara space, why would you waste time playing a simulation? Are you brain-dead?”

”Damn... when you put it that way, it actually makes sense.”

”Anyway, I’m going to read. Don’t bother me unless it’s important.”

On the highway...

A luxury car sped along the road.

In the backseat sat Yuhan, hailed as a goddess by countless fans. She was scowling, eyebrows furrowed, furiously scrolling through her phone.

”Girl, what’s wrong?” asked a poised and elegant woman sitting beside her.

Yuhan raised her phone with a look of outrage. ”Mom, look at this! People are saying I was sponsored by Shura! They’re slandering me!”

”Silly girl, that’s just how the internet is,” the lady replied with a gentle smile, then smoothly shifted the topic. ”Your sister called for you this time. I doubt it’s something simple. Someone high up has taken notice of Shura—they’ll definitely want to ask you a few things.”

”I know, my sister already warned me. Anyway, I don’t even know what they expect from me.”

”That’s fine then. By the way, when is Shura planning to clear the Fifth Stage? Can he still take you with him?”

”I wish! But Shura isn’t exactly easy to persuade. He only took me last time because my cousin helped me a lot.”

”Then you’ll have to thank your cousin properly later.”

”Yeah, I know.”

While the two chatted, their car entered the capital.

That night, 12:00 a.m.

Fenric appeared in the Samsara space right on time.

His first stop: the personal warehouse—to check yesterday’s rewards.

Because the dungeon had ended around 5 a.m., and the Samsara Space was about to close, he had logged off before reviewing them.

Just like before, he had received four rewards.

In addition to points and a golden treasure chest, there were two special items.

Fenric picked up one of them—a glove.

Its name: Riot Glove.

He guessed it was related to the symbiote ”Riot.”

As soon as his hand touched the glove, the system prompt appeared:

Special Item: Riot Glove

This glove contains part of the symbiote ”Riot’s” abilities. When worn, it can transform into three weapons: a spear, a broadsword, and an iron ball.

Note: These weapons can repair themselves after being damaged, though recovery takes time.

As he read the prompt, Fenric’s eyes gleamed.

”Not bad at all.”
