Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

Chapter 128: Chapter 128: The Demon King Descends, the Dark Age!

At last, Master Nine and the others finally understood why that zombie had been so terrified of Fenric.

Ten minutes later, Fenric finally stopped.

Old Man Ren had once again collapsed like a dead dog, lying motionless on the ground.

Fenric took a deep breath, feeling inexplicably refreshed.

After ten full minutes of venting, his mind had cleared, and his breathing had steadied.

Seeing the stunned looks on Master Nine and the others, Fenric chuckled.

”Master Nine, sorry about that. I didn’t handle this thing properly—let you guys see a bit of a joke.”

Master Nine looked at him speechlessly.

He truly didn’t know what to say.

The man standing before him was someone who could keep a flying zombie as a pet.

”Master Nine, I know what you’re worried about. You’re afraid this thing will end up harming the world, right? Don’t worry. I’ll deal with it later. I promise it won’t get the chance to hurt anyone.”

Master Nine couldn’t help but respond, ”Flying zombies have bodies like iron—invulnerable to swords and bullets. They’re almost impossible to kill.”

”Is that so?”

A black blade suddenly appeared in Fenric’s hand—out of thin air.

Then, with a few swift swipes of the blade—shhk, shhk!—the white-haired zombie’s limbs were cleanly severed. In mere moments, it had been chopped into a ”+”.

In truth, the white-haired zombie’s defenses were incredibly strong. Its entire body was like steel—true iron skin and copper bones!

But in front of the Black Blade, Shusui, it was still laughably weak.

Besides, with Fenric’s power level sitting at 510, cutting through the zombie’s limbs was effortless.

”The so-called flying zombie? That’s all it is,” Fenric said casually, smiling. ”Master Nine, can you rest easy now?”

Master Nine: ”...”

...Pretend I didn’t say anything!!

Even so, zombies really were terrifyingly durable.

Even after being chopped up by Fenric, the zombie was still ”alive and kicking”—as if nothing had happened at all.

In other words, unless the torso or brain was severely damaged, this thing wouldn’t die. It had no concept of ”vitality” in the human sense.

Master Nine asked again, ”You’re this strong—why are you raising this zombie? What exactly are you trying to do?”

Fenric smiled faintly.

”I’ve heard that many foreign invaders have occupied our land, while our government is mired in civil strife, allowing outsiders to trample on the heads of our descendants.

As a patriotic man, I feel I should step forward and do something. But, being lazy by nature,” he grinned, ”I decided to raise a zombie and unleash it upon that aggressor country.”

”Let them taste the pain.”

”You... really think like that?”

Master Nine was stunned.

He hadn’t expected Fenric to be a patriot?!

”Of course. I love this land, Master Nine! This place belongs to us. How can we allow outsiders to run amok here?”

After a pause, Fenric added with a smile,

”Don’t believe me? I’m leaving tonight—taking the zombie with me.”

Even if Old Man Ren had been reduced to a near-human state, he could still bite. Worst case, Fenric could just catch someone and hand-deliver them to him.

”...”

Master Nine was convinced.

He had to be.

With Fenric’s strength, no matter what he intended to do, no one in this world could stop him.

The world’s current technology was far too primitive. The most powerful weapons were tanks and artillery—nothing that could truly threaten someone like Fenric.

Too strong!

When you’re that powerful... you really can do whatever you want.

”Mr. Fen,” Master Nine said gravely, ”I admire your intentions. But have you considered... if you let zombies loose overseas, what if they eventually make their way back here?”

Fenric reassured him, ”Don’t worry, Master Nine. My first stop is the country who’s eyeing our land the most. It’s far from here, with an ocean in between. Zombies won’t be able to cross easily. And any powerful ones, I’ll handle myself.”

He clapped his hands.

”Alright, Master Nine. I’ve said all I need to say. No one can stop what I’m about to do. Till next time.”

With that, Fenric picked up the zombie one-handed, turned, and walked away—without a trace of hesitation.

Before heading out tonight, he had already told Ren Tingting he was going abroad to pick up his ”sister,” and afterward, they’d settle permanently in Renjia Town.

Ren Tingting, though reluctant, had agreed for the sake of their future happiness.

As for where Fenric would find this ”sister”?

Heh.

In this chaotic world, human life is like grass.

It wouldn’t be hard for him to find an orphaned little girl to adopt.

The two disciples + ghost of Master Nine watched Fenric’s retreating figure in silence.

After a long pause, Monmoi asked,

”Master... is Mr. Fen a good person or a bad one?”

Master Nine sighed.

”Not a bad person... but his heart is too radical. He does as he pleases—he could easily bring disaster.”

”Then what should we do, Master?” Chong asked.

At that, Master Nine glared at his disciples.

”What else? Of course, we train harder! We have to be ready for whatever’s coming. I don’t know what you two lazy brats are doing all day... Mr. Fen is younger than both of you—look at how capable he is!”

Monmoi mumbled,

”But Master... even you can’t beat Mr. Fen, can you?”

Master Nine exploded:

”You little brat! What did you just say?!”

Three Months Later

In Pyong, the capital of the Zion Country, the situation had completely collapsed.

The city had become a zombie paradise.

Every night after sunset, zombies could be seen hopping through the streets—utterly terrifying.

Countless citizens had fled in panic.

Among the religious fanatics, a prophecy spread like wildfire:

”The dark age has arrived! Satan walks among us! The extinction of mankind is at hand!”

That night, once again, Fenric roamed the streets of Pyong—hunting for ”leeks.”

He ignored the low-level zombies.

After killing over 300 of them, the system had informed him:

”Samsara player reward saturation reached. Further kills will yield no rewards.”

So now, his targets were intermediate and high-level zombies.

Intermediate zombie: 300 points.

Advanced zombie: 1,000 points.

As for anything beyond that... it seemed extremely rare. Fenric hadn’t encountered one yet.

You ask about Old Man Ren?

He’d long been retired, sent off to the ”Hell Nursing Home” by Fenric. Whether the ”Ren” family accepted him was anyone’s guess.

After some searching, Fenric found an intermediate zombie in a mansion, sucking the blood of a plump lady.

Over the past month, Fenric had discovered something strange.

Other than Old Man Ren, who evolved quickly, most twice-infected zombies evolved very slowly.

A basic zombie would need to feed on hundreds of people just to reach intermediate level.

Fenric was about to harvest his ”leek” when suddenly—

Ding!

”Player Shura, please be advised: the zombie you released has killed the Queen of the Zion Country and caused a major disturbance.”

”Notice: Your current world is about to be frozen. You will be forcibly removed in 60 seconds.”

”Ah?”

Fenric blinked.

World freeze?
