Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

Chapter 117: Chapter 117: Hammers Zombies Online (1/10)

”Renjia Town?”

Fenric found the name vaguely familiar.

But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t recall where he’d heard it before.

After thinking for a moment, Fenric asked, ”Are there any well-known figures from this town? Or who’s in charge around here?”

The old man smiled kindly and replied without hesitation,

”The Ren family, of course. The elder of the Ren household practically runs the town. Even the captain of the patrol unit reports to him.

But when it comes to someone truly famous, that would be Master Nine of Spirit Hall. He lives a few dozen miles away from here.

No matter what happens—whether it’s ghosts or disturbances—people always turn to Master Nine!”

Fenric’s expression shifted slightly.

Ren Family? Master Nine?

Isn’t this the world of Mr. Vampire?

A grin spread across his face.

He had already dealt with zombies and vengeful spirits before. And now, more zombies? Was he collecting every supernatural creature like Pokémon?

Since he had entered this world, the objective was likely simple: defeat zombies and earn points.

”Excuse me, old man,” Fenric asked again, ”how do I get to Spirit Hall?”

The old man pointed down the road.

”Just head out of town and keep going straight. But if you’re going now, you might not find Master Nine.”

”Oh? Why’s that?”

”Today is the day the Ren family is relocating their ancestor’s grave. Master Nine’s been invited by Master Ren himself.”

Ancestor’s grave being moved?

That means the story has just begun.

If Fenric remembered correctly, the moment the old lady’s corpse was unearthed, it would only take a few days for it to transform into a zombie.

”Then, where exactly is this grave?”

”Just head straight out of town. Once you’re past the gates, turn right. There’s a hill over there. Master Ren and the others are at the top.”

”Thank you, old man.”

After bidding the old man farewell, Fenric didn’t rush to meet Master Nine.

Since this was the world of Mr. Vampire, things were already lining up.

He had watched the movie before. The plot wasn’t complicated: the wealthy Ren family moved the grave of their ancestor, who had been dead for over twenty years. But instead of peace, they unearthed a powerful zombie that went on to terrorize Renjia Town.

Eventually, Master Nine joined forces with others to put the creature down.

As he walked, Fenric organized his thoughts.

The plot had only just started, and it would still take another two or three days for the corpse to transform into a zombie.

Looking for one now would be pointless.

There was no need to rush—he would take things step by step.

First, he’d find a place to stay in town.

Then, if possible, he wanted to see if he could learn a few techniques from Master Nine.

Now that he was in this world, he might as well take the opportunity to earn points and expand his skill set.

After all, as far as he knew, the trials in the Tower of Samsara often involved ghosts and demons.

It wouldn’t hurt to learn how to deal with them properly.

But Fenric was also aware that earning Master Nine’s favor wouldn’t be easy. The old man had a rigid personality and didn’t easily accept disciples. Bribery wouldn’t work either—Master Nine was a man of principle.

Still, whether he could learn from him or not, it didn’t matter much. Personal instances were mainly for scoring points.

Fenric strolled down the street, deep in thought.

Not long after, he noticed a long procession coming his way.

In the middle of the group were two people seated in modest sedan chairs carried by porters—clearly of higher status than the rest.

One was a middle-aged man, not particularly striking in appearance, but his clothing screamed wealth.

The other was a young woman—slim, elegant, and breathtakingly beautiful.

When the townsfolk saw them, they greeted respectfully:

”Hello, Master Ren! Hello, Miss Ren~!”

Fenric’s eyes flashed.

Master Ren? Miss Ren?

Of course! Major figures in the story. No wonder they looked familiar.

Judging by the direction they were coming from, they must be returning from the tomb relocation.

Fenric’s mind began to turn.

As Ren Tingting passed by, Fenric subtly moved his finger—activating his telekinetic powers.

Suddenly, the two porters stumbled as if tripping on something. The sedan chair tilted sharply.

”Ahh!”

Miss Ren and the porters cried out in alarm.

But as ordinary people, they had no way to resist the unseen force Fenric had unleashed.

Just before the sedan was about to topple completely, Fenric acted.

He stepped forward swiftly, caught Ren Tingting in his arms, and gently brought her down to safety.

”Careful.”

Fenric’s voice was calm and reassuring as he held her.

A textbook case of ”hero saves beauty.”

Shameless? A bit. But effective.

People in this era were straightforward and easy to read.

To Ren Tingting, she had nearly fallen—and this handsome man had come to her rescue.

When she looked up at Fenric’s face, she was momentarily stunned.

So handsome...!

She gazed up at him dazedly, forgetting to move from his arms.

It wasn’t that Ren Tingting was easily impressed—Fenric’s appearance at this moment was simply too dazzling.

He had height, a well-sculpted figure, piercing eyes, and carried the aura of someone strong and capable.

If he didn’t want to work another day in his life, some women would line up to support him.

Tingting, a young woman just beginning to understand love, was naturally drawn to someone like Fenric—confident, powerful, and attractive.

Besides, he had saved her.

”Miss, are you hurt?” Fenric asked gently.

After she steadied herself, he let go, playing the role of a proper gentleman.

It was all part of the plan—to get close to Ren Tingting.

As the female lead in this world, she was bound to have an important role. In the original plot, once the zombie awakened, it relentlessly targeted Ren Tingting, its closest blood relative.

”Huh? I-I’m fine.”

Ren Tingting finally snapped out of her daze, her cheeks flushed red.

She stole a glance at Fenric, feeling her heart flutter at the thought of being in his arms.

He’s so graceful...

Embarrassed, she quickly looked away.

Truthfully, this was a face-based society.

If her savior had been unattractive, her reaction would’ve been very different.

”Miss, I’m sorry! We’re so sorry!”

The two porters hurriedly apologized.

”I don’t know what happened—our feet just slipped all of a sudden!”
