Peerless Divine Doctor

If it wasn’t for the knowledge that Mingyue was still guarding outside the room, and considering Mingyue’s injuries hadn’t fully healed, Ye Luo might have indeed stripped down for a big bout of passion, since Yan Ling wouldn’t have refused anyway.

”All right, Sister Yan.”

Ye Luo took a deep breath and hurriedly released his hands, suppressing the fire of desire within him.

Called by Ye Luo like that, Yan Ling also woke up from that extremely comfortable and intoxicating dream, and looking at Ye Luo, she didn’t know why her cheeks were somewhat flushed.

At this moment, the startling whip marks on Yan Ling’s body had already scarred over, and the wounds had become much smaller.

”Take this medicine bottle, apply the powder inside it to the wounds every day, and in three to four days, you should fully recover without any scars left.”

Ye Luo handed the small medicine bottle to Yan Ling as he spoke.

”Thank you.” Looking at Ye Luo, Yan Ling’s eyes shimmered with deep affection.

Ye Luo leaned down, kissed Yan Ling lightly on the lips, and said with a smile, ”You are my woman. From now on, you don’t need to say those two words to me anymore. All right, you’ve been seriously injured and must be tired. Rest for a while, and then I’ll take you back to Zhonghai.”

”Oh right, your hand seems to be injured too.”

Yan Ling suddenly remembered, looking at Ye Luo’s left hand, there was a bullet wound, though it had stopped bleeding, the bullet was still inside.

”It’s nothing, I can deal with this little injury in no time.”

Ye Luo said casually, his right hand gently gripping his left arm, and with a hard squeeze, the bullet fell out, followed by a surge of Nine Yang True Qi, which quickly scabbed over the wound.

Stepping out of the room, Mingyue leaned against the wall, her eyes glancing at Ye Luo as she spat out, ”You really aren’t afraid of danger, daring to intrude into the Wu Family’s territory alone. If I hadn’t showed up in time, your little life would have been over.”

”Sorry, even if you hadn’t appeared, I wouldn’t have been in any trouble,” Ye Luo replied indifferently, immediately infuriating Mingyue, who stamped her foot and snorted with pride.

”You really should avoid getting into trouble. You must realize that you now represent the agency and everything you do is tied to that. Especially big families like the Wu Family, it’s best not to provoke them. Although it turned out fine this time, the Wu Family definitely won’t let it go,” Mingyue pursed her lips and hummed.

”I won’t let it go either,” Ye Luo said, his eyes narrowing with determination.

”I really don’t know what to say about you.”

Watching Ye Luo, Mingyue shook her head helplessly, at a loss for words.

”The Wu Family isn’t as simple as you think, they have major forces backing them. If you provoke them too far, even the agency won’t be able to protect you.”

”If they provoke me too far, no one will be able to protect them.”

Ye Luo said nonchalantly, his gaze fixing on Mingyue, sparkling with radiance.

”You... why are you looking at me like that?”

As Ye Luo’s gaze bore into her, Mingyue’s cheeks tinged with a blush, and she asked somewhat unnaturally.

”Since you care about me so much, how should I repay you? How about I let you be my woman?” Ye Luo’s lips quirked as he spoke.

”Get lost.” Mingyue glared furiously and lashed out with a kick. Ye Luo dodged just in time, and at that moment, he pulled something out of his bosom and tossed it to Mingyue.

”Take a look at what this is,” Ye Luo said as Yan Ling stared at the cross-shaped dart in her hand, her eyes narrowing before she lifted her gaze to Ye Luo.

”Where did you get this from?”

Ye Luo looked at Mingyue and asked, ”Do you recognize this?”

Mingyue said while looking at the cross-shaped dart in her hand, ”This is a kind of hidden weapon commonly used by ninjas from the Island Country, called the cross dart.”

”So it’s the Island Country ninja’s stuff. No wonder that guy last night had such good hiding skills, it must have been Ninjutsu.”

Ye Luo muttered to himself while Mingyue stared at him and spat out, ”You encountered a ninja from the Island Country.”

”Yep,” Ye Luo nodded and briefly recounted what had happened the previous night.

Mingyue’s brow tightened, ”To think that a ninja from the Island Country was after you... Those ninjas generally do not take action lightly, and according to what you said, the one who made a move yesterday was a ninja of the Innate Realm. Such ninjas usually won’t act unless you’ve provoked some important figure from the Island Country.”

As she spoke, Mingyue’s eyes suddenly shot toward Ye Luo, ”When did you ever provoke someone from the Island Country? You really do stir up trouble.”

”I don’t think I’ve provoked anyone from the Island Country,” Ye Luo thought to himself, when suddenly, an idea struck him, and the image of Tagawa Ichiro, the president of the Zhonghai University Judo Club flashed through his mind—he was the only person from the Island Country whom Ye Luo had provoked. Could it be him?

”What are you thinking?” Mingyue pressed.

”You might want to investigate the president of the Zhonghai University Judo Club. That guy is from the Island Country, and he’s the only one I’ve provoked. I bet his identity is not simple,” Ye Luo stated.

”Right, is that woman in black a member of the Special Security Agency?” Ye Luo couldn’t help but ask, thinking of the woman in black who had saved Yan Ling at the crucial moment. If she hadn’t stepped in, Yan Ling might have already lost her life.

Mingyue shook her head, ”I don’t know her. But she’s very strong. Since you don’t know her, yet she suddenly appeared and saved your woman, there must be some connection to you.”

”But I’m really curious, how many women do you, a big womanizer, actually have?”

”Want to know?” Ye Luo smirked devilishly, his eyes filled with mischief as he leaned in close to Mingyue, his breath teasing as he spoke, ”When you become my woman, I’ll tell you how many women I have.”

”Never in a lifetime,” Mingyue stated defiantly, though on some future day when Mingyue remembered what she said today, she would find it somewhat amusing.

After resting for a few hours, Ye Luo drove Yan Ling back to Zhonghai, and the Wu Family did not make a move against him again.

As for the terrible fight that had occurred at the Wu Family residence, it was tightly sealed by the Wu Family and did not leak out. The whole of Jinling was unaware of the fierce and bloody battle that had taken place within the Wu Family estate. Wu Yingxiong was being buried according to the usual rites, and the entire Wu Family seemed to be shrouded in Death Qi.

When Ye Luo brought Yan Ling back to the villa in Zhonghai, Luo Jingxuan’s demeanor immediately became incredibly excited. She hugged Yan Ling tightly, weeping with joy, her heart finally at ease.

”You’re not hurt, are you?”

Luo Jingxuan looked at Ye Luo with a touch of concern in her eyes, and he smiled and shook his head.

”I’m fine. By the way, I will be going to the Capital City for a few days tomorrow. Be extra cautious these next days and call me immediately if anything happens.”

”Got it,” Luo Jingxuan calmed her emotions and replied with a smile.

At this moment, Yan Ling could not hide the deep affection in her eyes as she looked at Ye Luo. After the life-and-death ordeal, the bond between them seemed to have grown even closer.
