Peerless Divine Doctor

”Director Li, what would you like to eat? Haitian restaurant offers a variety of national cuisines as well as a good selection of Western dishes. Feel free to order whatever you like.”

Hai Fugui waved his hand, and a waiter placed a thick menu in front of Li Wanqin.

”Mr. Hai is too kind. As the host, you should do the ordering,” Li Wanqin said politely.

”Fine then,” Hai Fugui replied and proceeded to order more than a dozen dishes from the menu before saying, ”Bring a bottle of ’82 wine.”

”Very well, Mr. Hai, please wait a moment,” the waiter said respectfully with a nod before leaving.

”Mr. Hai, before we eat, I’d like to discuss with you the new round of cooperation plans between Ling Corporation and Hai Corporation. Here is the proposal.”

Director Li took out a document and placed it in front of Hai Fugui.

At that moment, Hai Fugui’s mouth held a trace of a smile, and he suddenly reached out, grabbing Li Wanqin’s hand, and said with a grin, ”No rush. Let’s drink first, it’s better to discuss business after a drink.”

Li Wanqin looked startled and quickly withdrew her hand, replying, ”Okay then.”

After saying that, Li Wanqin couldn’t help but cast a glance at Ye Luo, worried that he might impulsively do something, but he seemed to have no reaction.

Soon, all the dishes were served, and the waiter brought over a bottle of red wine, proceeding to open it.

”Come on, Director Li, try this ’82 red wine, it’s definitely authentic and lingering,” Hai Fugui said as he poured a glass for both Li Wanqin and himself, paying no attention to Ye Luo.

However, Ye Luo didn’t hesitate to pour himself a glass and drank it down in one gulp.

”Ah, refreshing! Indeed, it tastes great.”

Ye Luo smacked his lips and, without any reservation, poured himself another glass, drinking it down like a bull.

Watching Ye Luo guzzle down the expensive red wine, Hai Fugui’s chubby face trembled, and a flash of anger crossed his eyes.

Li Wanqin quickly tugged on Ye Luo’s clothes and looked at Hai Fugui apologetically, saying, ”Mr. Hai, my colleague hasn’t seen much of the world and doesn’t know better, please don’t take it to heart.”

”It’s alright, but since your colleague likes to drink so much, why don’t I open a private room for him and let him drink to his heart’s content?” Hai Fugui suggested with a sly grin.

”No need, Mr. Hai, it would be too extravagant. I’m fine drinking here,” Ye Luo said in haste, thinking to himself that the old man intended to send him away to make a move on his wife, no way that would happen.

”Well, in that case, brother, let’s drink a few together,” Hai Fugui said to Ye Luo.

”Sure, come on, Mr. Hai, cheers.”

Ye Luo said with a smile, filling their glasses once more, and said, ”Cheers.”

Ye Luo and Hai Fugui both downed their drinks in one gulp and then finished off the bottle, calling for several more bottles of red wine.

Hai Fugui seemed to have quite a capacity for liquor, having consumed over a dozen glasses without showing any sign of trouble.

”Mr. Hai, you have a great tolerance, let’s keep drinking,” Ye Luo said with a playful smile at the corner of his mouth.

But eventually, Hai Fugui began to falter, violently throwing up.

”Mr. Hai, how are you feeling?” Li Wanqin quickly asked.

”It’s okay, Director Li has witnessed something amusing. Your colleague’s alcohol tolerance has indeed exceeded my expectations,” Hai Fugui said, wiping his mouth with a wet wipe.

”Since we’ve already had our drinks, Mr. Hai, I wonder if we could talk about our cooperation now.”

Hai Fugui glanced at Ye Luo with his small eyes and said, ”I would like this young man to step out for a moment, as I want to have a private conversation with Director Li.”

”Ye Luo, you go out first,” Li Wanqin said to Ye Luo, looking at him.

Ye Luo gave Hai Fugui a look, turned around, and left the private room. However, his Clairvoyant Eye was constantly monitoring the situation inside the room.

”Now that he’s gone, we can talk, right?” Li Wanqin said to Hai Fugui.

”Director Li, let me be frank with you. I’m sure you’re aware of my feelings towards you,” Hai Fugui began as he lit a cigar and exhaled a ring of smoke, ”our continued cooperation between the two companies entirely depends on your decision.”

Li Wanqin frowned and said, ”I don’t understand what you mean, Mr. Hai.”

”My meaning is simple. I’ve been attracted to you since the first time I saw you, Director Li. It is for your sake that I’ve cooperated with Ling Corporation before. If you want me to keep cooperating with Ling Corp, you’ll have to agree to be my woman. Then, I will make sure Hai Corporation and Ling Corporation engage in a full partnership.”

Hai Fugui spoke calmly, his small eyes glittering with greed as he stared at Li Wanqin.

After hearing what Hai Fugui had to say, Li Wanqin’s face darkened, and her heart skipped a beat. The bad feeling she had harbored was coming true; Hai Fugui indeed had his sights set on her.

”I’m sorry, Mr. Hai, but although I want Ling Corporation and Hai Corporation to cooperate, I won’t sell myself for that cooperation. Not to mention whether our president would agree, I certainly wouldn’t. Goodbye, Mr. Hai.”

As she spoke, Li Wanqin picked up her bag and stood up, ready to leave.

However, in the next second, the middle-aged man standing behind Hai Fugui swiftly moved to block Li Wanqin’s way.

”What do you mean by this, Mr. Hai?” Li Wanqin’s face tensed as she looked towards Hai Fugui, who crushed out his cigar and said coldly, ”In my life, there’s never been a woman I wanted to sleep with that I couldn’t have, Mr. Hai. Whether by gentle persuasion or by force.”

As he spoke, Hai Fugui glanced at Li Wanqin and said, ”Miss Li, I’ve given you plenty of time. I don’t want to wait any longer. Prepare to become my woman tonight.”

Bang!

Suddenly, the private room door was kicked open, and Ye Luo strutted in, with the four bodyguards lying behind him.

”Kid, are you looking for death?”

A cold glare flickered in Hai Fugui’s squinting eyes as he glanced at Ye Luo.

”Mr. Hai, there’s no need to be so angry. Forcing yourself on a woman, that kind of act would damage your reputation, wouldn’t it?”

Ye Luo walked over to Li Wanqin, while the middle-aged man watched him with a dark gaze.

”Get out of the way!”

Ye Luo snorted softly, swung his hand out, and reached towards the middle-aged man. The latter’s pupils constricted as he tried to dodge Ye Luo’s strike. He did not anticipate that as he attempted to evade, Ye Luo’s outstretched hand would grab his shoulder lightning-fast.

Suddenly, the man—who possessed the strength of the Acquired Realm Peak—felt a heavy force on his shoulder, and his face darkened. His right hand moved lightning-fast towards Ye Luo’s hand.

Boom!

A terrifying power surged, and Ye Luo’s hand gripping the man’s shoulder suddenly unleashed a fearsome mountain-like strength. Unable to withstand this force, the middle-aged man fell to his knees, shattering the marble floor beneath them.
