Peerless Divine Doctor

The middle-aged man spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, his face ghastly pale and flickering with a look of terror.

Meanwhile, Hai Fugui watched this scene with his tiny, barely-visible eyes wide with shock, his fat face trembling.

”You... who are you?”

Looking at Ye Luo, Hai Fugui’s voice trembled as he spoke, bearing in mind that this middle-aged man had been hired at great expense to be his bodyguard, and he was acutely aware of his terrifying strength.

Before, the man could single-handedly take down more than a dozen armed thugs, an extraordinary feat, yet now he was brought to his knees by a single move from Ye Luo; the outcome was too unexpected.

”Mr. Hai, your bodyguard looks rather frail; I barely gave him a tap and he knelt down for me.”

Ye Luo sneered, then followed with a kick, sending the Houtian Peak man flying across the room, crashing into the wall, and slumping to the ground like a lump of mud.

Right afterward, Ye Luo walked over to Hai Fugui.

”You... what do you want? I should warn you, if you dare lay a hand on me, there will be no good outcome,” Hai Fugui pointed at Ye Luo, his voice quivering.

”Mr. Hai, which do you think is harder, your head or this wine bottle?”

Ye Luo picked up a wine bottle from the nearby table and said dispassionately.

Hai Fugui glanced at the wine bottle, his flesh quaking and forehead breaking out in a cold sweat.

Bang!

Ye Luo smashed the wine bottle on Hai Fugui’s head; the bottle shattered instantly, Hai Fugui let out a wail of pain and fell to the ground, blood streaming from his head.

”Ye Luo!” Li Wanqin’s complexion changed, and she couldn’t help but cry out.

”Looks like Mr. Hai’s head is pretty hard after all,” Ye Luo shook his head as he said this, then picked up another wine bottle.

”No... don’t, please,” Hai Fugui pleaded, his face full of terror.

”Ye Luo, that’s enough,” Li Wanqin hurriedly grabbed Ye Luo’s hand and said.

”Li Wanqin, you dare set me up, I tell you, Hai and Ling Corporation’s partnership will never happen, and I will also complain to your president about this. I will make sure you can’t stay in Zhonghai,” Hai Fugui pointed at Li Wanqin, bellowing angrily.

Bang!

Once again, a dull sound echoed, and the shattered glass bottle scattered, Hai Fugui let out another agonized scream, blood gushing from his head.

”It seems you really want to test how hard your head is, daring to threaten my woman,” Ye Luo scoffed disdainfully, a hint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

At this moment, Hai Fugui finally realized how terrifying Ye Luo was. He clenched his mouth shut, daring not to say another word, but his small eyes were filled with resentment.

”That’s enough, Ye Luo,” Li Wanqin said, holding his hand, and she looked at Hai Fugui, adding, ”Mr. Hai, I’d like to apologize for this situation, but I will not trade my body for a deal, and even our president would not agree to it.”

Then Ye Luo’s gaze shifted, looking at Hai Fugui, ”Mr. Hai, are you certain you don’t want to continue cooperating with Ling Corporation?”

Hai Fugui looked back at Ye Luo with eyes filled with fear and remained silent, but it was clear that it was no longer possible for him to continue the partnership with Ling Corporation.

Ye Luo’s mouth curled into a brilliant, somewhat eerie smile, then he suddenly produced a Silver Needle in his right hand and swiftly jabbed it into the plump abdomen of Hai Fugui. A second later, he withdrew it.

”What... what have you done to me?” Hai Fugui’s voice shook as he stared at Ye Luo.

”Nothing much, just made sure your little ’gun’ will never stand tall again,” Ye Luo said indifferently, while the color drained from Hai Fugui’s face.

”Whenever you wish to have your ’gun’ work again, you can come and find me at Ling Corporation.”

Ye Luo left the words behind, taking Li Wanqin and leaving the place.

Walking out of the Hai Tian restaurant, the sky was already filled with stars, with a bright moon hanging in the starry sky.

”Did you really make it so he couldn’t get it up?” Li Wanqin sat in the car, her gaze suspicious as she looked at Ye Luo.

”Of course, just wait for that guy to come to us willingly to talk about cooperation,” Ye Luo said with a wicked smile.

”You really are something,” Li Wanqin covered her mouth and laughed lightly.

”Wife, now that night has fallen, shouldn’t we do something meaningful?” Ye Luo quirked his lips and looked at Li Wanqin with a devilish gaze.

Li Wanqin smiled charmingly, her eyes sparkling, ”What sort of meaningful thing do you want to do?”

”I want to see if my ’gun’ is able to rise to the occasion.”

”You hooligan!” Hearing such a vulgar remark from Ye Luo, Li Wanqin blushed.

”Then I’ll be a hooligan just for you to see.” Ye Luo chuckled mischievously, preparing to act the rogue with Li Wanqin.

”Ah, not here, not here,” Li Wanqin protested, her face turning crimson with shyness.

Looking at Li Wanqin’s shy and alluring appearance, Ye Luo thought to himself that he was finally going to ’have meat.’

Just as Ye Luo was about to take Li Wanqin to a hotel room to have an in-depth discussion about life, a phone call extinguished all his passion.

It was a call from Luo Jingxuan, telling him that Yan Ling had been kidnapped.

”Who did it?” Ye Luo asked urgently.

”I don’t know, the person said if you want to save her, go to Jinling,” Luo Jingxuan said. ”Ye Luo, should we call the police?”

”No need, just go home and wait, I’ll bring Sister Yan back safely.”

Ye Luo’s expression turned grim as he spoke, his eyes sharpening like the points of needles, radiating a cold glint; a terrifying aura of murderous intent spread from him.

Hearing the two words ’Jinling,’ Ye Luo understood that it definitely had something to do with the Wu Family, and he thought it very likely that the Poisonous Scorpion who had escaped before was involved.

”What’s wrong, Ye Luo?” Li Wanqin looked at him with a nervous expression.

”I’m sorry, wife, something came up. I’ll take you home first,” Ye Luo said apologetically to Li Wanqin.

”What happened, Ye Luo?”

”A friend of mine was taken, and I need to go rescue her,” Ye Luo said solemnly.

”Is it one of your women?” Li Wanqin’s eyes were fixed on Ye Luo, who nodded his head with a cold expression.

A strange glint flashed in Li Wanqin’s eyes as she said, ”Be careful, I’ll wait for you to come back.”

”Don’t worry, your husband won’t have any problems,” Ye Luo reassured her with a kiss on the forehead and then drove her home.

Afterward, Ye Luo drove straight to Jinling, prepared to rescue Yan Ling.

At that moment, Ye Luo’s phone rang. He picked it up and answered, ”Hello.”

”You’re planning to go to Jinling alone?” The voice of Situ Luoyun came through the phone.

”It seems you already know.”

”I’m sorry, it’s my fault for not finding out the whereabouts of that Poisonous Scorpion in advance, allowing him to take someone. But Jinling is not like Zhonghai; that place is entirely under the Wu Family’s domain. Both the underworld and the lawful side have deep ties with the Wu Family. Going there alone is extremely dangerous,” Situ Luoyun said gravely.

”Thank you,” Ye Luo said before hanging up the phone and continuing to drive.
