One Piece : Noble Phantasm Maker

Chapter 167: Chapter 167: Heading for the Sky Island, Find the South Bird!

Hearing this, Cricket lit another cigarette and took a puff.

”Tomorrow morning, at eight o’clock.”

Usopp was celebrating with Chopper, happy that they just needed to go to sea.

But upon hearing this, they both dropped to their knees, pale, their souls slowly departing.

At this moment, Luffy’s eyes widened with excitement, and he rubbed his hands together, saying:

”Sky island, sky island...”

Usopp became even more desperate.

Even Nami, for the sake of gold, agreed to this unrealistic decision to go to the sky island.

Usopp despairingly grabbed Raynor’s supply locker.

”Hey, Raynor, can you talk Luffy out of it?”

Raynor ignored Usopp’s plea, as he was the one who most wanted to reach the sky island as soon as possible.

This way, his mission could be completed ahead of schedule.

As he was thinking, the system’s notification sounded in his mind again.

[Ding, congratulations to the host for triggering the mission: Find Skandia, the Golden Eye. Completing the mission will reward you with 1000 points of all-attribute experience, several forging materials, and a blueprint for a sea motorcycle.]

Hearing the system’s prompt, Raynor couldn’t help but frown.

This mission felt a bit rushed, and the rewards seemed a little lackluster.

However, the sea motorcycle blueprint probably referred to a mode of transportation similar to those on the sky island, which would be very suitable for Nami.

In any case, they had to find Skandia, so this mission could be completed along the way.

This further strengthened Raynor’s determination to reach the sky island quickly.

He then said:

”Can we ask you to reinforce our ship’s hull? We want to go to the sky island!”

Hearing this, a hint of joy appeared in Cricket’s eyes, and he then grasped Raynor’s hand.

”Ah, with great pleasure!”

As soon as he said this, the Straw Hat crew was in harmony, while Usopp and Chopper looked like they had lost their souls, swaying precariously, almost passing out.

Soon, as night approached, Cricket and his crew prepared a table full of good food and wine to bid farewell to the Straw Hat crew.

Sanji and the ape ape fruit demonstrated what fancy stir-frying looked like.

The apes were so impressed they wanted to become his apprentices.

However, the dish they made was beyond Sanji’s ability to teach.

Soon, the wine and meat were all on the table. Luffy tried to swallow it all in one go but was stopped by Nami’s merciless fist.

Everyone ate heartily. Luffy and Nami were both envisioning what it would be like after reaching the sky island.

Luffy was thinking about adventure, while Nami’s mind was filled with gold.

Thinking of this, Nami couldn’t help but sigh:

”Uncle, you’ve been salvaging for so many years and only found one piece of gold. Doesn’t that prove that all the gold must be in the sky?”

Nami desperately wanted some encouragement, but at this moment.

Cricket took out three pieces of gold in various shapes from another box and placed them in front of them.

Seeing this, everyone gasped.

Nami almost knelt down; it was the first time she had seen so much gold.

The total value of this gold, at least, had to be a hundred million Berries.

Moreover, they were carved into various ornaments.

This made them more historically valuable and potentially worth more.

Although Nami knew that this was Cricket’s hard work and she absolutely couldn’t touch it.

She had already imagined in her mind the scene of plundering all the treasure after finding Skandia.

While Nami was lost in her thoughts, Cricket suddenly exclaimed.

”Oh no, I’ve forgotten something very important!”

Hearing this, Raynor and the others immediately looked towards Cricket.

Cricket held up the piece of gold carved with a large bird and said with a grave expression:

”Go to the southern forest quickly and catch a bird like this. Without this bird, you can’t get to the sky island!”

Nami asked with some doubt:

”Is this bird really that important?”

Hearing this, Cricket took a puff of his cigarette and said:

”This bird is called the South Bird. Its head always points south, hence the name.”

”If you want to go to the sky island, you must always accurately grasp the direction of the south, otherwise, even if you go up, you won’t be able to come down.”

Hearing this, Nami was shocked. If they couldn’t come down after going up, wouldn’t she grow old and die there?

She didn’t even know if they could buy things with gold up there, and if not, what was the point of having gold?

With this in mind, Nami hurried to urge Luffy and the others to go to the forest to find the South Bird.

Sanji lit a cigarette, grinned, and walked outside.

Zoro, though reluctant, followed him out.

Just as they were about to reach the door, they noticed Luffy wasn’t following.

At this moment, Luffy took down the transformation robot from behind him and placed it in front of the gold piece.

Seeing this, Nami looked helpless and asked:

”Hey, Luffy, what are you doing?”

Hearing this, Luffy’s face contorted as he said:

”I want the cat robot to transform into a bird, so we don’t have to go look for one.”

Before Luffy finished speaking, a large bump appeared on his head.

Then, Nami grabbed Luffy by the collar and dragged him outside.

”Stop talking to yourself here, we have to leave now!”

Soon, Luffy and the others went to the Southern Forest together to catch the South Bird.

Cricketlooked at the cat robot left behind.

He frowned, picked it up, but the next second, the cat robot transformed into his likeness.

Cricket jumped back in fright and let out a scream.

The ape and the gorilla were also filled with terror.

”Hey, what’s going on? Why are there two dads?!”

...

Loguetown.

Inside a tavern, Bellamy, who had just woken up, sat at the counter.

He took a big gulp of wine and then smashed his glass on the floor.

”This is outrageous! I’ll never forgive that guy!”

Hearing this, his subordinate, dressed in white and wearing an eye patch, immediately stepped forward and said with a gloomy expression:

”Why don’t we tell that person about this matter?”

Upon hearing this, Bellamy seemed to have touched a sore spot. He grabbed the white-clothed subordinate by the head with one hand.

Then he slammed him heavily onto the tavern bar.

”Hey, hey, what are you saying? To be in such a mess fighting a pirate worth 10 million, how can I face that person?”

”That guy just learned some special defensive techniques. Sooner or later, I’ll make him pay with his blood!”

Hearing this, the white-clothed subordinate trembled and dared not say another word.
