One Piece : Noble Phantasm Maker

Chapter 157: Chapter 157: New Mission, Landing on the Sky Island!

If it weren’t for Luffy’s Devil Fruit powers being the perfect counter to Enel’s, the Straw Hat crew would probably have been wiped out.

As Raynor was thinking, a system notification suddenly sounded in his mind.

”Ding, congratulations to the host for triggering a brand new mission: Land on the Sky Island. Completing the mission will earn you 2500 full attribute experience points, several forging materials, and one explosive tag forging blueprint.”

Hearing about the explosive tag forging blueprint, Raynor couldn’t help but furrow his brow.

This thing was like a Senzu bean, appearing simple but incredibly powerful when used.

If he could forge hundreds or even thousands of them at once.

No one in the pirate world knew about explosive tags, so he could catch them by surprise.

Even though explosive tags were considered low-tier, their practicality was definitely not low.

Moreover, going to the Sky Island was their inevitable choice, so this mission would just be completed incidentally.

With that in mind, Raynor turned around and looked at Nami, saying:

”Hey, Nami, where should we go next?”

Hearing this, Nami took out the navigation map, compared it, and then pointed to a small island not far away.

”Next, we should land at Loguetown first to gather some supplies.”

Upon hearing this, Luffy immediately showed his dissatisfaction, his face contorted.

”No, I want to go to the Sky Island...”

Hearing this, Nami sighed and then said:

”Do you even know where the Sky Island is right now?”

Hearing that, Luffy tilted his head and said:

”No, but we can ask someone.”

Hearing this, Nami slapped her forehead and said helplessly:

”If we’re going to ask someone, shouldn’t we find a place where people are? So, we must land at Loguetown first, do you get it?”

Hearing this, Luffy clapped his fist against his palm as if realizing something.

”Ah, is that so.”

”Okay, then we’ll land at Loguetown and then go to the Sky Island!”

Seeing Luffy agree, Nami directly ordered Sanji to unfurl the sails and adjust the helm, heading towards Loguetown.

Sanji was naturally happy to obey, his whole body becoming wavy as he immediately started turning the helm.

The target was heading towards Loguetown.

It was still about an hour’s sail to Loguetown, so Raynor simply sat down and lay on the deck to sleep.

He didn’t know how long it had been when something suddenly fell on Raynor’s face.

Raynor slowly woke up, then touched his face. What greeted his eyes was a pure white feather.

Raynor sat up and looked into the distance. Although he could vaguely see the silhouette of Loguetown from here, it was still thousands of meters away.

Seeing a few seagulls that had been shot down, Raynor couldn’t help but frown.

Shooting down seagulls from thousands of meters away... it must have been Blackbeard’s snipers.

Usopp and Chopper both exclaimed in shock.

Usopp looked at the seagulls falling from the sky, checked their injuries, and confirmed they were shot by a sniper rifle. He turned pale with fright.

”Who, who is it? To be able to shoot down seagulls from such a distance is simply unbelievable.”

Although Chopper didn’t understand, anyone who could surprise Usopp, even in sniping, must be a master among masters.

Thinking of this, Chopper trembled with fear and hid inside Usopp’s clothes, not daring to come out. This made Usopp feel ticklish and he couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

”Hey hey, Chopper, stop messing around and come out.”

”No, I dare not. There must be some very strong monsters outside.”

As soon as he heard of monsters, Luffy walked out directly, his eyes shining.

”Monsters? Where are the monsters!”

Saying that, Luffy took down the transforming robot he carried on his back and then smiled, saying:

”I wonder if the cat robot can turn into a monster. I’m so looking forward to it...”

As soon as he finished speaking, Luffy was punched away by an impatient Nami.

”Please, don’t insult the cat robot anymore! Cherish it!”

Hearing this, Luffy struggled to raise a hand.

”I, I’m sorry...”

Amidst the crew’s playful banter, the Straw Hats’ ship docked around Loguetown. But as they were about to board, Nami waved her hand, telling them to wait.

She couldn’t help but cover her mouth and point at a big man in front of them, saying:

”That, isn’t that the guy we met last time?”

Hearing this, everyone looked over, their eyes filled with varying degrees of shock.

Sanji calmly lit a cigarette and took a deep puff.

”That’s right, I remember that guy. He’s called Burgess, and he’s supposed to be a boxer.”

As soon as he said that, Zoro directly drew his Wado Ichimonji, his eyes filled with excitement.

”I didn’t expect to run into him so soon after making a promise just a few days ago.”

Zoro was ready for a fight. At this moment, Burgess suddenly threw a punch at a burly man.

The punch landed on the man’s stomach, and the man spat out sour water, flew backward, crashed into a wall, and lost consciousness.

Seeing such strength, Nami was dumbfounded.

”Please, what exactly did you guys do to make a promise with a monster? It looks like we have to take a detour.”

As soon as Nami finished speaking, the sniper high above adjusted his goggles and said:

”This is truly a fated encounter. It’s a shame our pirate crew isn’t assembled yet.” ℯ

”Otherwise, a memorable battle on this shore would be quite good too.”

As soon as he said that, upon seeing the long spear in the man’s hand, Usopp’s face turned deathly pale.

He was almost certain that this guy was the one who had shot down the seagulls from thousands of meters away just now.

That was a distance of thousands of meters. Even hitting an elephant would be difficult, yet this guy...

Thinking of this, Usopp’s legs trembled, and he walked closer to Nami. He whispered in Nami’s ear:

”We must convince Luffy to leave quickly, or no amount of lives will be enough to lose here.”

Nami deeply agreed and nodded.

”Okay, then we’ll take a detour. Make a decision quickly, Luffy.”

Hearing this, Luffy’s face contorted, and he glanced at Nami, saying:

”No...”

As soon as he said this, Nami and Usopp’s eyes welled up with tears. They then pleaded with Luffy:

”Please, Luffy, we’ll lose our lives!”

”That’s right, Luffy, we haven’t even had our promised fight for ten days, and meeting now is just too soon.”

The two looked at the incredibly excited Luffy with tears in their eyes, despairing.

At this moment, Burgess turned around and fixed his gaze on Raynor.

Then he clenched his fist and held up one finger.

”It’s you, kid. I was careless last time. I won’t let you defeat me so easily this time.”
