Chapter 184: Can the Fusion of Sharingan Particles Unlock the Three Tomoe Magatama?

The biometric trigger was something Kenichi had put real thought into.

At first, he considered making it a simple temperature recognition device, then quickly scrapped the idea.

He could not be sure what Obito might toss into the Kamui space. A captured ninjutsu. A warm object. Something freshly pulled from outside. If the bomb went off for the wrong reason, it would be a ridiculous waste.

So after weighing it for a while, Kenichi added stricter conditions.

The detonation would only trigger when the temperature reached a normal human body level, and ideally, there would also be physical vibration.

Both conditions had to be met before the fuse would activate.

Would it kill Obito?

Kenichi did not know, but he thought the odds were high.

After all, when did Obito usually retreat into the Kamui space?

Only when something sudden and dangerous forced him to. If he entered the Kamui space, saw a Rin Nohara doll, and hesitated for even one second, that was more than enough time for Kenichi to hand him a painful surprise.

As for building a body temperature recognition device, that part was not difficult. His teacher already had something similar in the lab. Kenichi only needed to modify it slightly.

Once it was finished, Kenichi attached the trigger to the God Slaying Thermobaric Bomb. Then he disguised the bomb as a tree stump and added burn marks, making it look like the stump had been scorched by Fire Release.

”Next...” Kenichi murmured.

He headed down into the dungeon.

Supplies were stored there, along with two Uchiha prisoners. Kenichi’s eyes settled on the female ninja. The moment she noticed his gaze, she trembled and lowered her head.

”Come here,” Kenichi said, smiling gently. ”I have something I need you to do.”

Her identity was convenient.

After she recorded the line, she could be moved straight onto the operating table as an experiment subject. The only question was how much genetic information the shadow clones had managed to isolate so far. It would be perfect if they had already found something tied to the Sharingan.

If they had not, it did not matter. This woman had other uses either way.

Kenichi pinched the bridge of his nose, irritation flickering through his thoughts.

His teacher’s technique still needed improvement. Rewriting the genetic programming of every cell in the body had a mortality rate that was simply too high.

It was far too risky.

He could never use something like that on himself, which meant he still needed a solution.

Hopefully, after finishing the elective course, he could obtain relevant knowledge, books, anything that would help him lower that fatal failure rate.

Kenichi lifted his teacup to take a sip, then gestured to the woman beside him.

”Start. Say the line the way I taught you.”

The woman inhaled stiffly.

”Obito, save me.”

Kenichi almost sprayed tea directly into her face.

It was not that her voice lacked emotion. It was worse.

It was completely wrong.

That was not a cry for help. That was a flat, awkward line reading. If someone claimed they heard that tone in a brothel, Kenichi would believe it faster than if they claimed it came from a battlefield.

”You idiot,” Kenichi snapped, glaring at her. ”I told you it was a call for help. This is what you call a call for help? Are you running a fever?”

He already knew what she was trying.

A honey trap did not only exist in his previous life. She was in his hands now, and if she wanted to live longer, or live more comfortably, she could only gamble with what she had.

And yes, compared to Sasori’s doll, a living Uchiha woman was naturally more convincing.

Kenichi’s expression turned cold.

”Let me make this clear. If you do not do it right, you will be the next one to die.”

The threat landed.

She finally behaved.

Even so, it took her a full three minutes of repeated attempts before she reached the tone Kenichi wanted, trembling, desperate, and sharp enough to slice into the heart.

Once the recording was complete, Kenichi patted her shoulder, satisfied.

Her face immediately brightened into a flattering smile, and she even tried to add a few suggestive gestures, as if eager to show her value beyond obedience.

Kenichi smiled back.

Then a red glint flashed in his eyes.

The next moment, her gaze went empty.

Kenichi dragged her straight into the laboratory, sat down in a chair, and dispelled the shadow clones he had left behind with his teacher.

A flood of memories surged into his head.

After a short, familiar moment of dizziness, Kenichi steadied himself and sorted through the information.

A large number of genetic samples had been isolated, but it still needed testing to determine which ones were truly tied to the Sharingan. In total, thirty six groups of genetic data shared the same distinctive characteristics.

All of them were unique to the Uchiha.

If the Sharingan gene existed as a specific component, it should be buried somewhere in those thirty six sets.

A thought suddenly surfaced.

”Wait,” Kenichi muttered. ”If I implant another subject’s Sharingan particle into this woman’s amygdala, could she advance?”

He had examined his own brain before. The Sharingan particle in his amygdala was quite large.

Shisui’s had not been directly observed yet, but when they met, Kenichi had obtained Shisui’s blood. He had not handed it over. He planned to test it in his own lab.

If he involved his teacher, he would need an explanation. Even though Shisui and Obito were both Uchiha, their genetic data differed greatly. His teacher would absolutely notice.

So it was better to do it here, in his own space.

Before that, Kenichi casually dug the Sharingan particle out of the woman’s amygdala.

As for the woman herself, Kenichi reduced her to ashes with Fire Release.

Letting her die painlessly inside the illusion was his small act of mercy.

Someone like her could not be allowed to live. If she were rescued later, things would become annoying in all the wrong ways.

[System: After the Sharingan particle in the amygdala of Experiment Subject 1 was sutured together with the Sharingan particle in the amygdala of Experiment Subject 2, the subject displayed extremely unstable emotions.]

Kenichi glanced at the man strapped to the operating table.

The man’s expression was bizarre, swinging between laughter and tears, as if his mind could not decide what he was feeling. There was no pattern, only chaos.

Kenichi tried channeling Yang Release chakra into the subject’s amygdala to help stabilize and repair it.

Instead, the subject’s emotional spikes hit a peak even faster.

Kenichi looked at the filthy operating table and his lips twitched.

Fine.

He would tolerate it for now.

The fusion of two Sharingan particles had clearly triggered additional problems. The second subject’s emotions became far more extreme, more prone to violent swings. Kenichi decided to replicate the previous stimulation experiment.

He gathered a large amount of chakra and used it to stimulate the Sharingan particle inside the subject’s brain.

Almost instantly, the subject lost control of his bladder and began trembling uncontrollably, his entire body shaking as if the fear response had been ripped open and left exposed.

The amygdala began to change color.

An overclocking phenomenon.

Kenichi immediately switched methods, stimulating the hippocampus and hypothalamus with Yin Release chakra.

The change was immediate and horrifying.

The subject’s brain began to swell.

Kenichi instinctively stepped back.

A heartbeat later, the brain exploded.

Kenichi exhaled slowly, staring at the mess coating the laboratory.

”It seems that two Sharingan particles can speed up emotional perception,” he said, voice flat, ”but it also makes the brain unable to handle that level of emotional fluctuation.”

He sighed.

More cleaning. More disinfection.

Kenichi stepped carefully, boots sinking into things he did not want to identify, and approached the remains.

The brain had exploded, but strangely, the amygdala itself had not. It had simply been overcooked, emitting the unmistakable smell of roasted tissue.

Kenichi curled his lip. ”Naruto on the tip of your tongue.”

He cut open the amygdala and examined it.

The Sharingan particles inside had fused.

But the fused result was still smaller than the Sharingan particle in his own brain.

A bolder thought followed naturally.

”What if I keep adding Sharingan particles?” Kenichi’s eyes narrowed. ”If I push the size and force repeated fusion under stimulation, could it break through and evolve into a three tomoe Sharingan?”

There was still an obvious gap in the fusion of two particles.

But what if he added a third?

Could that third piece lock into place, complete the structure, and open a path toward evolution in this unstable state?

Kenichi looked away, already calculating the cost.

”That would require a large number of test subjects.” He frowned. ”The people Shisui is bringing cannot be used. But other Uchiha should be fine.”

If that was the plan, then he needed a steady supply.

How did he obtain a large number of Uchiha consumables from Konoha without personally walking into the village and dragging them out?

Kenichi called a cleaning attendant, then went to shower. He had dodged in time, but some fluid had still splashed onto him.

Once he was clean, he went to find his teacher.

After thinking it through, the simplest solution formed naturally.

Let Konoha do it themselves.

Root was the perfect tool.

He only needed to toss out bait and let Danzo bite.

He could even push Danzo to launch the night of extermination earlier.

Would that not send a massive batch of experimental materials straight to his door?

And it would also sow deeper distrust between Shisui and the village, making Shisui more determined to leave.

Two birds with one stone.

As for the bait, Kenichi had already chosen it.

He touched his eyes.

He had mastered the ability to freely switch the Sharingan on and off.

He did not believe Konoha would ignore that.

”The Sharingan is powerful,” Kenichi said softly, smiling. ”So why does nobody transplant it?”

There were two main reasons.

One was pressure from the village and the clan.

The other was practical.

Non Uchiha could not shut the Sharingan down. It would drain chakra constantly, turning the eye into a permanent leak.

Was the Sharingan strong?

Of course it was.

Kakashi had built a legend on it and earned the name Copy Ninja.

But Kakashi’s stamina had always been a weakness.

In that sense, the Sharingan looked almost useless in the wrong hands.
