My attributes are increasing infinitely

Chapter 293: Ring under the lake

Ethan had many things on his plate now.

”Let’s take one step at a time. First, I need to become strong enough so that I can be safe here. Then I will go out to find information about this place. Is this really my destined place? What is my destiny then?”

After finishing the book, he learned that there were 5 species that could be called super rare.

They were the most delicious and nutritious food. They were even preferred over monster meat.

Ethan’s target was to catch some of those rare fishes and sell them in the village. And if he was lucky, maybe he could find some unknown species, which he would sell to the town.

After planning, he started his cultivation session immediately.

Another 100 cycles had passed and he needed to rest now.

With this session completed, he now had 20 mammoth-level power in him.

Ethan looked at the room where Rey was memorizing the technique. He had been inside for 2 hours and hadn’t opened the door yet.

Ethan knew he would need some time, so he went to fish alone.

After coming to the lake, he went to a corner where there were no people. Then he jumped into the water.

With the power in his body, his internal organs were now super powerful too. His lungs had the capability to hold his breath for at least 24 hours or more.

Ethan started diving deeper, and he was surprised to see how deep the lake was.

It was around 5 to 6 kilometers deep. He saw many types of fishes and he knew all of them. But there weren’t any unknown species or rare ones there. So he kept looking for them.

Ethan had another target in his mind, and that was to find treasures. There was a huge possibility of finding treasure here.

After arriving at the soil beneath the lake, he started walking.

The pressure of the water was just right for him to walk there. And the soil was perfect for walking. It was sandy and not clay soil.

The deeper region of the lake looked very beautiful. There were thousands of fishes there. There were some other animals too.

After looking for a while, suddenly he saw a dim light coming from a bush.

Ethan immediately became interested. Light under the water was not common. There had to be something special.

Ethan slowly went there and looked in the bush.

There was something beneath the soil that was glowing softly.

He removed the soil and took out the thing.

It was a ring. The ring looked royal with a dragon head on it.

Ethan liked the ring the moment he saw it and put it on his finger to see if he could wear it or not.

But the moment he put it on his middle finger, the ring’s size shrank and perfectly fit on his finger.

Ethan’s grandpa told him that there were rings in the world that had a huge space inside them. Could it be a space ring?

Ethan tried to channel his energy into the ring and instantly, his mind was linked with it.

It was indeed a space ring and, more importantly, the space was huge, like a football ground, and it was not empty.

There were mountains of gold coins inside it and only gold coins, nothing else.

Ethan was so happy at that moment that he forgot about fishing.

Just as he was about to come out of the lake, he remembered that he couldn’t use gold in the village. The villagers were poor and he knew the conversion rate.

1 gold coin = 100 silver coins

1 silver coin = 1000 copper coins

And 1 copper coin could be exchanged for 2 meals with lots of meat in it.

So taking out a gold coin might cause him problems right now.

Then he started looking for fishes again.

This time he didn’t have to wait long and found 2 rare fishes.

Instantly he took out the bag and slowly went near the fish, and with a jump, he caught both of them in his bag.

He knew their price: 100 copper coins each. It was a good gain.

Ethan came out of the lake and took them to the market.

As soon as he brought out the 2 fish from his bag, people went crazy over them.

”Whoa! Two Blue Fin Koi at once? How can this little boy be so lucky? We last saw them 10 years ago.”

Ethan had made a mistake in his calculation. The price he saw in the book was from before, when this species was rare but could still be found within a few days.

But right now, they had become ultra rare and their price was sky-high.

”Kid, I will give you 500 copper coins. Sell me both of them,” a man offered.

”Huh? Only 500? Have some shame, will you? Kid, sell them to me instead. I will give you 1000,” another one chimed in.

But soon, more people were joining the fun. It quickly became an auction.

Ethan was having fun. He didn’t think it would fetch such a high price.

At last, someone bought them for 10,000 copper coins and gave him 10 silver coins.

It was a huge gain for him. Ethan went to buy some medicinal herbs in the market for Rey. He would need them to start his cultivation journey.

The herbs were not very rare in the beginning and could be found in the village market too.

He used 1 silver coin to buy the necessary herbs and 3 silver coins to buy an iron sword from the blacksmith shop.

”Kid, do you want to buy a sword technique?”

Suddenly, Ethan heard a voice from the side. He looked toward the sound and found that it was a young man.

”Come here. Let me tell you a secret. I found this technique deep in the mountain, buried under a rock. I have no aptitude for swords, that’s why I am selling it to you. I can tell you have real potential.

For you, just 10 silver coins.”

Ethan couldn’t help but be amused. This punk must have been following him from the market and was trying to swindle him.

”I don’t need any techniques. Thank you,” he refused politely.

The young man became a little desperate. He thought he had the kid for good.

”Don’t be rash. 5 silver coins. I can’t go any lower than this. Think about it, kid, your life can change with this little money. Who knows, maybe one day you will become a renowned sword master in the land?” he said, grinning.

Ethan smiled, ”1 copper coin. Take it or don’t waste my time.”

He had changed a silver coin into 1000 copper coins in the blacksmith shop, so he had change.

”Kid, you are too vicious for your age. How can you be so cruel? You have so much money and you won’t even offer me 1 silver coin for this life-changing sword technique?”

”Okay, 2 copper coins. Give me the technique and go, have a good meal.”

Ethan didn’t waste any time. He put two coins in the man’s hand and started walking away with the technique. The man had shown him the technique before. He had an intuition that it was a real sword technique.
