My attributes are increasing infinitely

Chapter 288: In a new world

At that very moment, something strange was happening inside Yumiko. A door of infinite power opened before her eyes. Even as an Origin Dimensional being, she felt like an ant in front of that power.

[What is this endless power, master? I don’t know where this power of yours is coming from, it feels like actual infinity. I tried to probe the depth of your power, but it almost felt like even the entire energy of the Origin Dimension is just a drop in your endless power.

I will be upgrading for 12 years. Please stay safe till then. The Origin Dimension needs you.]

Yumiko fell into an unconscious state. When Ethan’s body burst open a while ago, a unique power appeared from within him. Even Yumiko didn’t know what that power was, but it made her even stronger in that moment, allowing her to manipulate a portion of Ethan’s true source of energy.

She was finally given access to a small portion of Ethan’s true power at that moment. Until now, she had been using her own source of energy to make Ethan stronger every day.

But today, when she was ready to die with Ethan, that resolve helped her to be recognized by Ethan’s true source, which had been sealed until now.

After this upgrade, the system would be providing energy from Ethan’s true source instead of her own, and maybe she would be able to provide him with more power than she ever could with her finite energy.

She was an Origin Dimensional being, yet with all her power, she could only create one trillion golden seals in Ethan’s body. That was how much purity in power Ethan’s body demanded.

She couldn’t provide him with anything except the absolutely pure source of power.

Yumiko fell into the depths of Ethan’s ocean of energy. She was being purified there, evolving into something more.

But all this had nothing to do with him. He was not conscious anymore.

He was simply waiting for his birth.

Human children in the 4th Dimension were born after 30 months.

But this time, Ethan was not fortunate enough to have the love of his parents, because at the time of his birth, a cataclysmic monster attacked the region where they lived, and a huge space fissure appeared.

His father died protecting them, and his mother threw him into that space fissure before she too perished.

The baby Ethan appeared in an unknown world, which was actually a combination of the 3rd and 4th Dimensions.

In that world, people were born as mortals but could become fourth-dimensional beings without any restraints if they had talents.

The little baby fell into a human town, landing inside a trash bin.

A beggar passing by saw Ethan in that trash bin, crying helplessly.

”Poor thing. Who abandoned such a beautiful child here?”

The old man took Ethan into his arms and brought him to his rundown house in the slum.

”Little guy, you have to adjust here. I’m sorry for that.”

He placed him on his dirty bed.

The old man went outside to find some food for the child.

There was a couple living five houses away. They had a child a few days ago. He decided to ask if the woman could also feed some milk to Ethan, or at least give him advice on how to raise a child.

He had always lived alone, but for some reason, after seeing Ethan, he wanted to take the boy in.

He went to their house and asked what to do.

”Lucas, bring that child to me. I don’t have much milk because of the lack of nutrition, but I can take care of him for at least five to seven days.

You should find an alternate source of milk for him.”

Lucas left their house and after some time, brought Ethan to them.

Ethan was very gentle. He would only drink from one breast and never from the other, which the woman kept for her own child.

Lucas laughed when he learned this after five days from Emma.

”My grandchild is indeed a gentleman. Don’t worry, little man, I’ve brought milk for you. Even if I have to starve, I won’t let you.”

Eight years passed.

A little boy with excellent facial features, like the child of a royal family, was sitting on a cliff looking below.

”Ethan, what are you doing here alone again? Didn’t your grandpa forbid you to come here by yourself? It can be dangerous,” another young boy said as he approached from behind. Though not as handsome as Ethan, he had sharp features.

Ethan didn’t look at him.

”You know I like this place very much. It gives me an unknown peace. But what are you doing here, Rey?”

Rey sat beside him.

”Oh, I was looking for you.”

”Why?” Ethan asked.

”I heard my mother and father talking about something important. They said a representative of the Sword Sect is coming to recruit outside disciples in the nearby town tomorrow.”

This time, Ethan was interested.

”Oh? Tell me more.”

He was fascinated by cultivation because his grandpa would often tell him stories about people who could fly in the sky and destroy mountains with a single punch.

He always felt a strong pull toward those stories.

And truth be told, he often dreamed of being a supreme powerhouse who destroyed a place called the Abyss. But he would always wake up before finding out what happened next.

”Ethan, let’s go to the town tomorrow. I’ve always wanted to see a cultivator.”

”Okay.”

The next day—

”Grandpa, I’m going to the town with Rey.”

Lucas was as old as ever. He hadn’t aged a bit.

”Okay, be careful. I heard cultivators are very proud creatures. Don’t go near them.”

”You knew, Grandpa?” Ethan asked in surprise.

Lucas just smiled and said nothing more.

Ethan and Rey lived in the slum, around five kilometers away from the town.

So they started running. After about an hour, they arrived at the town. But the normally calm and quiet town was very busy today.

Thousands of young people could be seen everywhere.

”I think they came here to try their luck,” Rey muttered.

They headed toward the center of the town where the mayor lived.

A man and a woman in white robes with a sword emblem on them were standing there.

They looked ethereal, as if no impurities could ever touch them.

The mayor was standing behind them like a servant.

”Senior brother, we should start the process. I think there are enough people now,” the woman said.

”You’re right.”

He looked at everyone.

”I am Albert Ezer. I am an inner disciple of the Sword God Sect from the Central Continent.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the entire place fell silent.

Until now, everyone had thought the representatives were from the local Sword Sect of Berlin City. But hearing that they were from the Sword God Sect—the most powerful sect in history—left everyone petrified with fear.

Why would the most powerful sect come here to recruit disciples from this backwater town?

”I think most of you don’t know much about cultivation, so I’ll give a brief explanation of the sect’s requirements.

There are different types of talents in the world, categorized into seven colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and violet.

But we only accept those who have sword talent.

I will give you a stone. Everyone will hold it in their hands, and I will conduct the awakening process. If anyone has a sword-related talent above blue rank, I will directly take you in as an inner disciple.

Let’s begin.”

He took out ten thousand stones from his ring.

”Master, I hope you were correct in your divination. We need a supreme prodigy with purple talent or above right now. We can’t delay anymore,” Albert thought to himself.

Ethan and Rey each got a stone of their own.

Rey was extremely nervous and excited at the same time.

”Begin.”

A blinding white light came out from everyone’s stones and entered their bodies.

Albert waited to see if anyone’s body would emit any kind of colored light.

But to his disappointment, none did.

He was starting to lose hope, but then a blinding beam of purple light shot into the sky from one of the boys.

Albert instantly jumped and appeared in front of the boy—it was Rey.

He touched the purple beam to assess his talent.

”Sword Saint.”

A tear fell from his eyes.

”You were right, Master. We’ve found him.”

But then an even more blinding beam of violet light shot up from the boy beside Rey.

Albert’s eyes widened. He had never seen someone with violet talent before. He had only heard that the ancestor possessed violet talent—”Sword God.” That was how their sect got its name.

He excitedly touched the light, but his expression darkened instantly with absolute disappointment.

[Healing.]

Yes, Ethan had awakened a violet talent, but it was healing—a support-class talent.
