I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1977: 24.238 Sixth Violet Star - Wedding Preparation

The conversation between General Gu Ying and the Beast God, Mo Minkong had ended quite peacefully. The General had decided to leave and return to the city. The next morning during the assembly, all soldiers had gathered except for those who were injured and would be sent to the main city for further medication. This is especially true for the soldiers who were fatally injured.

During the morning assembly, Beast God Mo Minkong took the stage to make some announcements. The first part is about the success of the assassination mission done last night.

”We are now starting the rewarding ceremony of the soldiers who had completed the assassination mission of the beast commander of the Beast Race.”

”Let’s call on the five brave soldiers who had accompanied Commander Huzi to the enemy’s territory and take the head of the current commander of the other side.”

”Of course we knew that this would not stop the beast race from attacking us. But at least we had bought enough time for ourselves, to make more preparations than what we have right now.”

”We are giving away merits to these five brave soldiers who had completed their mission. With the commendation from Commander Huzi, the five of them will be promoted from Second Lieutenant rank to First Lieutenant rank.”

”Congratulations, the five of you.” Beast God Mo Minkong said as he changed the badges they had on them to that of a first grade Lieutenant.

The Beast God added, ”Commander Huzi was satisfied with what you have done during the mission and he decided to give you an extra reward. He gave you permission to buy a house in the district under the beastmen race region.”

Upon hearing this news, the one that is the most delighted are the three dark elves among the five. After the rewarding ceremony, Commander Mo Minkong emphasized on the rules of the military. Especially, the rule about a low rank insulting a higher rank soldier which will not lead to demerit and expulsion at worst. While saying this, the Beast God was looking at the elven race as if giving them a warning.

Knowing what that stare from their commander is, the elven warriors avoided his eyes but their fists were tightly grasped showing their real reaction to the words of the Beast God. Mo Minkong had already given them a warning. If they still dare to bully the three dark elves his mate had taken a liking to, he doesn’t mind offending the Elven race just to punish them.

The beast god continues and informs everyone of the temporary departure of General Gu Yin to the borders.

”Today is also the departure of General Gu Ying. His wounds are quite fatal and he must return to the city for the enthronement ceremony. It was decided that the new ruler of the human race shall be him. Let’s hear it from him,” said the Beast God, Mo Minkong.

The moment the human soldiers in the area heard this news, they started clapping in both happiness and excitement. It can be said that compared to Mu Liao, the soldiers like Gu Ying more. However, due to the last command of the former marshal Long Tian, they can only accept Mu Liao as their new marshal. In the end, he ended up being a traitor that sold out humans to the beast race. His connection to ouroboros and Pei Jin was exposed and he is about to be executed a few days from now.

General Gu Ying on stage looked around the area making the place turn quiet under his eyes. Maybe it was due to respect or maybe just because they felt fear towards those stern eyes looking down on them. No one knows but they all turned silent at this moment.

”I will leave temporarily but I will come back. Never believe that the beast race hasn’t changed. They did and we had almost suffered defeat. Never underestimate an opponent and be careful of the Black Lion Beast Commander.” General Gu Ying said.

The next time they meet, he will no longer be called general but marshal instead. He wanted to be a marshal that was willing to go to the battlefield to protect his own race and the alliance. The soldiers all saluted, those some look reluctant to do so, most those who have seen what he had done to protect the walls on his own was a scene they can never forget.

After seeing the General off, they watch the carriages that carried the general and all the injured ones heading back to the main city. As the gates of the borders once again closed, Beast God Lord Mo Minkong commanded them to return to their post and immediately report to them the changes in the opposing side. Maybe because more than half of their place was burned down and most of their best soldiers had died last night, the original plan to attack the walls had been halted.

The war seems to have been a bit peaceful only for today as there were no attacks from the other side.

—

On the other hand, at the core region of the Barren lands.

The divinities who were watching the scene had not much reaction. They had witnessed General Gu Ying’s actions and the last moment where he almost lost his life. They were more serious when Huzi went to the enemy’s camp to kill the beast commander. There is also a silent interference from the God of Destruction.

The ice frost Lord Huzi had released to seal the Black Lion can be easily broken. If Hei Anjing didn’t strengthen it enough to imprison the black lion until the Beastmen leader had escaped, that mission would have failed with a few deaths.

The World Eater said, ”Son, you’ve made a move just now didn’t you?”

”Old man, you are seeing things. Maybe you need to start wearing glasses.” The God of Destruction said.

The Ancient God of Chaos, Hunluan had spoken.

”Stop teasing your son. You were about to make a move when that human was about to die.”

”Wife, I didn’t. I just think this human is a bit interesting that all~” said the World Eater, An Shizhe.

As for the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness, he had unexpectedly fallen asleep while hugging his wife. Even the loud voice of the World Eater couldn’t wake him up at all. This scene was noticed by Lord Hunluan and the World Eater. They also noticed the strangeness of Ye Xiajie the moment they returned to the mansion.

The World Eater asked, ”What is wrong with the brat? Did he do something that tires him this much?”

”I felt the void descend for a moment. Did he use his domain in this world? That would cause him ten times the more when using it in lower realm worlds. There is also the fact about that foreign cultivator with a mysterious background.” The Ancient God of Chaos, Lord Hunluan said.

The God of Destruction said, ”He had used his domain. As for what he did, I do not know.”

”Something wrong with that outsider?” The World Eater asked. ”If he is indeed a problem, do you want me to devour it? If it’s now I can definitely devour him!”

”There is no need. Even if he wants to make a move their cosmos lord no longer exists.” The God of Destruction said.

As an ancient god, Lord Hunluan and the World Eater, knew the situation of their cosmos and that it was their son who was designed to guard it as his duties.

Lord Hunluan asked, ”Is it alright for you not to return there?”

”Right not at the moment. Moreover, my domain has always been deployed to protect the cosmos. There is only one way for me to wake up.” The God of Destruction said.

The World Eater looked confused and asked, ”What do you mean by wake up?”

His son just gave him a smile and an angelic one making shivers. He realized he had asked something he shouldn’t have. Lord An Shizhe backs away upon seeing the smiling expression of his son. He knew that this question was something that he wouldn’t receive any answer.

The God of Destruction intentionally changed the topic and said, ”Let’s forget about this world. It’s time to complete your mateship ceremony. This is what we had come for after all.”

”Is it alright to do this without an audience?” The World Eater asked.

Hei Anjing said, ”As long as the heavens of this world accepted your marriage it would be considered as trial completion.”

”Will they accept our mateship ceremony?” The Ancient God of Chaos, Lord Hunluan asked.

The God of Destruction responded, ”They would. If they wanted us to save this world.”

Hei Anjing started to make preparations for the mateship ceremony of Lord Hunluan and Lord An Shizhe. With the two wardens and two systems arranging the venue, the ceremony will be done in the Garden of Chaos Flower. With the blessing of chaos the two wardens and two systems had accepted, Chaos energy will no longer affect their minds and cause them to lose control. With this the wedding between the two ancient gods in this world had started its preparation.
