842 14.118 Last Violet Star – (Past) Escape

Before dusk, a fresh task was assigned to the covert agents’ Bai Wuan had left in the Xie Clan to monitor. The heirs’ rescue from the Xie Clan’s underground prison is their final mission, and they were specifically instructed to safeguard Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin’s lives as their main priority. In other words, they must protect these two objectives even if it means sacrificing themselves.

These spies shared characteristics with death warriors who swore allegiance to Bai Wuan. Bai Wuan established his own small team of spies at the same time as he allowed a few cultivators from the Bai Lengshui Sect to train under him. These are cultivators who have lost contact with everyone on the surface. They had lived forever in the dark as Bai Wuan’s extra limbs and eyes.

These cultivators, who were prepared to die for him at any time and would obey his instructions to the bitter end, were even more powerful than the group of disciples Bai Wuan had cultivated for the Bai Lengshui Sect. They are devoted to Bai Wuan alone. Only a handful of them exist, and the majority of them were Golden Core Stages.

Additionally, he taught these guys how to manipulate space and dark elemental techniques from Bai Wuan’s initial memories of Hei Anjing. However, unlike Bai Wuan who can teleport regardless of where he is, they must first build two points of the array that they may utilize to link to a place and use it as the path of their teleportation. They could teleport on their own but teleporting with someone needs to fulfill these requirements.

The guy in the black robe whispered to the First Young Master of Lan Zhuayun Sect, “Please remain quiet. We will make the teleportation array right now.”

Yun Huaxia questioned the first person who stood before him in pristine black clothes, “What is your name?” His companions could scarcely be distinguished from one another because they were all dressed in the same robes and had their faces totally covered.

“Please address me as “Zero” since that is the name I go by in our organization. I’m afraid I can’t tell Sir my true name without the Lord’s consent.”

“Your lord is A’Wuan right?” asked Yun Huaxia.

Zero answered, “Yes. It was his order to escort sir and the little lord safely back to Lan Zhuayan Sect.”

.....

“Then thank you for your hard work,” said First Young Master Yun.

“This humble one had basic medical skills as well. Please let me check on sir and the little master.” Zero said, “Do not worry about your qi leaking; he has activated an array in this cell that not only blocks noise but also blocks aura of all kinds of energy. These are some arrays the Lord had taught our group.”

Yun Huaxia agreed and initially extended a hand to the person going by the name of Zero. The latter realized that Yun Huaxia’s acupoints were purposefully obstructed after running his qi through his body. He began unblocking the First Young Master of the Lan Zhuayun Sect’s obstructed acupoints, enabling him to reclaim his sealed power as a cultivator.

“I would like to check on little lord next?” asked Zero.

Only after receiving a go sign from the First Young Master of Yun can Zero check on Bai Qiyin’s pulse. After running his qi in his little lord’s body, what he learned shocked him. Zero’s voice was shaking and you could sense the tremble in his heart.

Zero mumbled, “No. This cannot be...!!!”

He made many attempts and examined Bai Qiyin’s status multiple times. Under his mask, the man’s face became white, and even his eyes were trembling with shock. The man’s reply made Yun Huaxia nervous, and he realized that something obviously went wrong.

The First Young Master Yun asked, “What’s wrong with Yin’er?”

“L-Little Master’s cultivation... They abolished it!” said Zero.

Yun Huaxia said, “Abolished Cultivation? No, they’ve only sealed our acupoints, why is Yin’er’s...”

“I-If... If the Lord learned about this... The Xie Clan... I don’t think they would end well...” said Zero.

Frowning a bit, Jin Baihua asked, “Is the Ice Demon of the Bai Lengshui Sect that strong? Isn’t he only a young disciple whose age is below 20?”

In shock, Yun Huaxia, Zero, and the other men in black robes eyed Jin Baihua. Although for different causes, they both have astonishment painted on their faces. Jin Baihua did not trust the famed might of Bai Wuan in the rumors, but Yun Huaxia, Zero, and the others knew more about Bai Wuan’s Identity. That is a reincarnated immortal. Why would a simple Nascent Soul Cultivator frighten an immortal?

The Devil Race is far more powerful than a simple mortal who hasn’t even transcended, and Bai Wuan has his own ordeal to think about. These are the sole reasons Bai Wuan didn’t become actively engaged in the issues of the Mortal Realm. Furthermore, Bai Wuan was subjected to a lot of restrictions. He wouldn’t violate these limitations imposed on him by the Immortal Emperor, his father unless he lost control of his emotions.

Zero and the rest of his allies remained silent in response to Jin Baihua’s query. In the end, it was Yun Huaxia, this gentle big brother who responded to him.

“The last time I met A’Wuan he was already in the Peak Golden Core Stage. Years had passed since then, he must have reached the Nascent Soul Stage by now. The Ancestor of the Xie Clan had been stagnant in the Mid-Nascent Soul Stage ever since he upgraded his cultivation. After suffering from mental demons, his cultivation had degraded instead of increased, and is now in the Early Nascent Soul Stage. If A’Wuan and my younger brother decided to attack them together then... The Xie Clan would no longer exist. That is what frightened the Xie Clan and caused them to attack the Great Sects,” explained Yun Huaxia.

Jin Baihua asked, “Then why wasn’t he able to prevent the destruction of his own sect? Wasn’t he there when they did so?”

“He wasn’t. A’Wuan was out on a journey with my younger brother removing the traces of the devil race and demonic beings that sneak into our realm. They were both away when our sect was attacked,” answered Yun Huaxia.

“No wonder. That demon’s younger brother was taken away,” said Jin Baihua as he stared at Bai Qiyin.

Jin Baihua had shackles around his neck, wrists, and ankles. Yun Huaxia used his sword qi to manipulate them. He almost hit the ground but managed to catch himself in time. Even though Jin Baihua appears a little frail for someone who grew up among the common people, he has more physical strength than a young master like Bai Qiyin. Since he was a little child, he had been helping around the house.

Jin Baihua asked Zero, “Senior, can you unlock my acupoints as well?”

“No. I hadn’t reached any permission to do so. Our duty is only to escort Sir Yun and Little Lord, as for the rest it wasn’t included in our task at all,” said Zero to Jin Baihua and then faced Yun Huaxia and explained the reason for his actions. “Please pardon me for saying this to him. But the Lord says that there might be other spies in the prison pretending to be one of the prisoners. Just in case, we choose not to unsealed most of their acupoints except for those approved by the Lord.”

“I understand. Don’t worry,” said Yun Huaxia.

Zero disregarded the others as usual and cupped his hands to assist his allies in building the array.

While maintaining an understanding grin on the outside, Jin Baihua was enraged by this disrespectful attitude.

Yun Huaxia pats his shoulder and says, “Please bear with it for now. I will unseal your acupoints when he gets out of this territory.”

“Okay, Senior Brother Yun,” replied Jin Baihu as he gazed at this guy with eyes of amazement, adoration, and tenderness. This man was the only one who didn’t look down on him regardless of his standing.

Unknown to him, Zero was observing from an adjacent corner and was not unaware of the situation, he scowled when he noticed Jin Baihua’s reaction. Obviously, this man named Jin Baihua had some disfavored emotions toward the Dao Companion of his little lord. As the little lord’s dao companion is Yun Huaxia, seeing this scene made Zero determined to inform his master of this event after accomplishing the mission at hand.

The teleportation array is finished after a while. Zero is one of at least five men wearing black robes. The other four are spread out and seated at the four corners of the array, each clutching a Spacial crystal. They are in this cell obviously to trigger the teleportation array and would probably be left behind to get them all out.

Zero spoke, “All preparations had been made. Please step inside the array and will transfer you to another location.”

The latter told him what had happened that his brother had dispatched his men to get him. Jin Baihua followed them as they moved with Zero toward the direction of the array’s core. While staring at Bai Qiyin with hidden dislike in his eyes, Jin Baihua stabbed his thumb with his nails and smeared blood on a talisman that was concealed within his sleeves out of sight and secrecy.

This is a low-grade communication talisman that uses blood as the channel to send a distress signal. Such a technique that involves blood is only known to Demonic cultivators.

He is, as was to be expected, one of the Xie Clan’s spies. In order to stop Bai Qiyin and Yun Huaxia from escaping, one was specifically chosen by Xie Gui. Despite the fact that he moved entirely in secret, Bai Qiyin was able to smell blood. However, upon seeing Jin Baihua covered in wounds that the pills couldn’t completely treat, he didn’t give it any attention. But Jin Baihua flinched as a result of his gaze. The Heir of the Bai Clan chose to ignore the scene but couldn’t help but scowl at it.Please visit 𝒇𝙧𝐞ℯ𝒘e𝚋n𝚘𝙫𝐞𝑙. c𝐨m

But while they were being transported, a disturbance in the underground jail caused all the barricades that Zero and his colleagues had built to be destroyed. The subterranean passage resonates with the sounds of shouts emanating from outside the cell.

“Who the hell are you, people!?”

“Tell the ancestor! The prisoners are trying to escape!!?”

“Argh! Fuck! Is that an array?! Destroy it!! They are trying to leave using it!!”

“Shit! Be careful! All of them are in the Golden Core Stage! Call the elders.”

Yun Huaxia and the others became anxious when they heard the ruckus outside, but Zero remained unperturbed.

“Accelerate the Teleportation Array’s activation,” Zero commanded, “Ignore the chaos to finish the job.”

The other four guys, who were seated on the ground, said, “Yes, Leader,” and they continued to activate the array.

The door to their cell was forced open just before the array was fully triggered, but Zero froze the flying door towards them and shattered it into innumerable little pieces of ice. These ice fragments flew towards them. Since the transfer would fail the instant the four guys activating the array were halted, Zero concentrated on keeping those four men safe and left the protection of the little lord to his Dao Companion as for Jin Baihua, Zero doesn’t care about him at all.

Bai Qiyin was shielded by Yun Huaxia with his sword. He also made an effort to defend Jin Baihua, but the flying ice shards’ range was just too wide. Jin Baihua was still scratched and wounded in some parts of his body.

When the cultivators of the Xie Clan noticed them, they all opened fire simultaneously. They chose to leap on them as if they had seen this event many times and knew the people were attempting to flee.

“Don’t let them escape!! Especially the one with silver hair!!!”

It appears that their Ancestor had given them the command to apprehend Bai Qiyin and prevent his escape. Xie Gui, after learning that Bai Wuan possessed silver eyes, made him remembers the man who gave him inner demons. Due to this, Xie Gui despised Bai Wuan the most, and the Bai Lengshui Sect also suffered from his rage before being destroyed in his direction. Knowing that Bai Qiyin is related to him, Xie Gui was determined to keep the former. He was aware that the silver-eyed young man would undoubtedly enter his domain as long as Bai Qiyin remained in his territory.
