I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 648: 12.50 Unknown Star - Modern ABO World: First Case - Finding the suspect

At the house of one of the alive victims of the current caseʼs murderer. Officer Ying Wu came to visit and asked a few things about the former victim.

In the victimʼs house,

A lady in his mid-twenties was hugging her knees while looking around in fear despite being inside her own home. This lady was one of the victims who survived because it was her elder sister who was targeted at that time and she was still a virgin young lady. It was because of this reason that she was spared. That day was the source of her nightmare. It was the night that she lost her elder sister and unborn nephew or niece.

”I... I do not know what you want me to say. All I could remember that night is that the rain was so loud that my sisterʼs screams could almost not be heard from the outside. I witnessed the death scene of my sister and unborn nephew or niece. But sadly unable to see the murdererʼs face. This is because I didnʼt dare to open my eyes at that time,” storied the victim.

Officer Ying Wuʼs expression is quite serious and sympathetic.

”Did the man that night say something?” he asked.

The victim responded, ”H-He sounds... Sounds exciting and... Happy? The scent of blood is too strong. I donʼt know. I canʼt recall very well. He was laughing... As if he is crazy...?”

”I see... You heard his voice, donʼt you recognize it?” asked Officer Ying Wu.

The victim said in a panic, ”No. No. No! I canʼt remember. I must not! He told me he would kill me next if I recall who he is!?”

”Please calm down. Calm down, Madam. You are currently pregnant and you canʼt lose control of your emotions. It wouldnʼt have any good effects on your baby!” said Officer Ying Wu.

The lady had calmed down hearing about her child. She gently touched her still flat tummy and smiled. This unborn child is her only family now, she must protect it well.

”You are right. You are correct. I have a baby now. I canʼt get upset or angry now. Do you know that I only adopted my deceased elder sister when she herself was an orphan? My elder sister is a good person. She is hardworking and kind.”

”You know how children who come of age are asked to leave the orphanage. My elder sister is one of them. When she was young no one wanted to adopt her, thankfully, the orphanage was run by a nice person. She let the old children go to school before they became full adults and when they completed a vocational course they would be free to leave their own life.”

”My elder sister is a graduate of a 2 years course in hospitality. She is a receptionist in a big hotel. Her life should be a good one until her boyfriend cheated on her. That scumbag! At that time, I ran out of the orphanage looking for someone. I was looking for another orphan whom I treated as a younger brother but... I got lost in the city.”

”My older sister was the one who picked me up. She wanted to bring me back to the orphanage but I told her I donʼt want to. I wanted to look for my younger brother. My sister had been lonely after her breakup and asked me if I wanted to live with her for a while, I said Yes.”

”We were living happily until the day my sister started getting nauseous all morning. When we went to some small clinic for a check-up... We learned she is pregnant from her former boyfriend.”

The word clinic caught Officer Ying Wuʼs attention. Like Jie Yun, he remembers well what Hua Heiyu said that the murderer might be a hidden or an illegal surgeon. This kind of doctor usually worked in small clinics doing some unlicensed surgeries.

Officer Ying Wuʼs thoughts, ʼA small clinic?ʼ

The victim still continues her story.

”A the beginning, I thought my sister wouldnʼt like the baby and so I asked if this clinic is doing some abortion surgery. They said yes, but my sister said she doesnʼt want to abort it. She said even if she becomes a single parent with my help, we should be able to become happy.”

”But... But... Who would think that one night everything had changed? It was so rainy that night I couldnʼt sleep because it was too cold and there were too many mosquitoes. My sister was okay. She drank the supplements we bought from the clinic and she fell asleep so deeply that night.”

Officer Ying Wuʼs thoughts, ʼSupplements can make someone fall into deep sleep?ʼ

”T-Then... That man... That man suddenly entered our house as if he knew where we live. But Iʼm sure I locked all the doors and windows that night then... Then... Then...”

The traumatic scene of her sisterʼs death at that time is still vivid in her head. Just thinking about it made her extremely sick. She suddenly ran out towards the bathroom as soon her stomach churns and started vomiting.

Blergh~ Urrggg!

Officer Ying Wu helped pat her back as she puked. It took half an hour for her to calm down and return with him to the room they were in before. The officer supported her weak self.

”No need to tell me what happened that night. But please answer a few of my questions. Would that be alright?” asked Officer Ying Wu.

The victim nods her head in agreement.

”That small clinic. Can you tell me where it was located and what was the doctorʼs name of the one who checked on your sister?”

”It was a small clinic in this slums area. As you know... How low class this place is. The name of the doctor is... Hmm, yes! We all call him Doctor Shen. He is a young man nearing his thirties. It was said that his family was also poor and he lost his mother in a pandemic. His father becomes crazy after his wifeʼs death and drinks himself to death as well.”

”Rumors say that Doctor Shen lived in a temple for a while but was kicked out when he reached adulthood for some reasons. They also say that Doctor Shen was adopted by an old doctor who formerly owned the old clinic and he inherited the clinic after the old doctor died.”

Officer Ying Wu asked, ”Is he also your doctor now? How are his skills?”

”Doctor Shen is so kind. He is also skilled. When he heard I was having a hard time sleeping at night due to depression, he gave me supplements to help me fall asleep at night.”

”Can you let me see those supplements?”

”Sure.” He watched her rampage at her bedside cabinet for the medicine and when she found it. She gave it to Officer Ying Wu to check. ”Here it is.”

Officer Ying Wu checked on the various colorful tablets of the so-called supplements. Most of them are vitamins that strengthen oneʼs body. He couldnʼt see anything weird.

”I will need the help of the narcotic police department for this,” murmured Officer Ying Wu.

”I would like to confiscate these medicines. The truth is you are in danger, Maʼam. The killer from last year is starting his actions. Within these few months, already 6 people are dead. Adding up his former victims which include your sister, there are already 20 victims in total. His targets are all single pregnant parents with one to three months old babies.”

The victimʼs face turned pale as a terrified expression appeared on her face. She even started trembling as she remembered how Officer Ying Wu confiscated her supplements and that she kept on asking about the small clinic.

”Is it Doctor Shen? But the one who checked on my sister last year was his adoptive father. Old Doctor Shen! If... If... If... It was indeed them then... Then doesnʼt that mean Iʼm the one who caused my sisterʼs death!? I donʼt believe it. I donʼt believe it!”

Officer Ying Wu panicked as he noticed that the victim started to become over-emotional. He had to call the doctor and the team who came with him hiding outside the house on guard.

”Medic! Get inside. The victim is in a crazed state!”

BAM!

The front door of the house was forcefully opened and a group of policemen including the medic went inside the house. The doctor in the team checked on the victim and had to tranquilize her as it was bad for her baby if she continues to be this emotional.

Before the victim completely fell asleep, Officer Ying Wu heard her murmurs.

”If it was really them then... I gave our address for a doctorʼs home visit because... My sisterʼs death...”

A deep frown appeared on Officer Ying Wuʼs face as he listened to the words the victim had said.

The medic said, ”Captain. She is asleep.”

”Good. You guys stay here and protect her. I will ask the Prosecutor what should be done next. Keep her safe and prevent everyone from seeing her no matter who they are.” said Officer Ying Wu.

His subordinates saluted at him as they all accepted the orders when suddenly a policeman guarding outside run inside and reported,

”Captain, a man saying he is the ladyʼs husband came over.”

”Let him in. I want to talk to him,” ordered Officer Ying Wu.

”Yes Sir!”

On the other hand, in the case of Jie Yun, who was caught by the people in the slums, lurking around the slums area was surrounded by residents. They thought Jie Yun was a bad man. A wealthy person surveying the whole area.

Jie Yun said, ”Iʼm not here to survey the area for renovation. Iʼm not even rich.”

”Oh? So what are you doing here?”

”Sightseeing? How funny. This is the slums area. What can you see here unless you are trying to send us all away.”

”Would you believe me if I told you Iʼm lost? I was looking for someone!” said Jie Yun.

”Hm? Are you an omega? Brothers, letʼs sell him to a brothel to get money.”

”Are you crazy!? There are lots of police cars patrolling in this area again.”

”I heard there are lots of murders going on in our area.”

It was at this moment that Wei Lou and his thug brothers witnessed this scene. When Wei Lou saw his lover being encircled by people like an animal he asked his brothers to scare the residents away.

Wei Lou said, ”Oi! What the hell are you lots doing? Let go of him!”

”Big brother, leave it to us.”

”We love beating people regardless of age~”

Jie Yun saw Wei Lou and hid behind him. He was terrified of being surrounded just now that he had almost forgotten his current identity as a contract killer. The little brothers Wei Lou brought with him had shooed the residents away by scaring them. It didnʼt take long for them to be the only ones in the alley.

”Are you okay?” asked Wei Lou worriedly.

Jie Yun asked, ”How did you know I am here?”

”The bosses told us to return. They gave me your coordinates to pick you up. Who would expect you would be in that situation right now. What happened? What are you doing here?” asked Wei Lou.

Jie Yun answered, ”I checked the routes and found this place as the center point. That small clinic over there is the endpoint. When I was about to investigate further I was caught by the residents thinking Iʼm some kind of wealthy person who wanted to destroy their home and ended up like that.”

Jie Yunʼs situation was okay at first but suddenly ended in such a sticky way. Wei Lou thought it was funny and started laughing.

Hahahaha~

”I even heard them wanting to send you to a brothel. But arenʼt you a beta? Hahaha~” said Wei Lou.

”Iʼm an omega now. Iʼve differentiated last year,” said Jie Yun.

Jie Yun kicked his butt and angrily went to the car leaving Wei Lou who had fallen on the ground like he was kneeling.

Ouch!

”You are sleeping in the living room tonight! Hmp!” shouted Jie Yun from the car.

The little brothers of Wei Lou surrounded him and said,

”Big brother, how can an omega kick you like that!?”

”Arenʼt omegas all weak?”

”Idiot! Didnʼt you see that my sister-in-law is trained!? He must be a powerful agent.”

”Hey! Watch your mouth!”

Kneeling on the ground Wei Lou who was growing some mushrooms in depression was still sulking from being thrown out of the bedroom.

(QAQ) ”I donʼt want to sleep in the living room...”

Jie Yun shouted once more, ”If you still donʼt come over. You are sleeping in the hallways tonight?”

”Big brother, sister-in-law is calling for you. If you still havenʼt come over.”

Wei Lou woke up from his remorse and said like a loyal puppy.

”You guys scatter and get some people to watch over that small clinic. Donʼt approach closely and donʼt get noticed. Do it secretly.” ordered Wei Lou.

”Yes, sir!”

Jie Yue shouted for the third time, ”Come over here you dolt!”

”Coming, sweetie~” replied Wei Lou with a grin as he ran towards the car and left with Jie Yun.

”Will our captain become a henpecked husband in the future?”

”So what!? Isnʼt Prosecutor Ye one as well?”

”Shush! Donʼt talk like that about your superiors. Do you want to get beaten up? Moreover, are their mates someone ordinary? Both are top agents from Aster. One is the Top undercover agent and the other is the top intelligence agent. Why do you think Aster agents are kind to us ordinary policemen? Because our department and theirs are connected by marriage!”
